I saw the flooding of Billings and your area on TV Lee. Sure glad you are not in the water and hope it stays that way. This weather is ferocious this year. Maybe because the world didn't come to an end. Maybe this is a different version.
All of my tomato plants that I started from seed got hit by a frost or something so I went down to Spokane and bought a dozen plants. Got them all planted and looking good. Sure do wish I could find all of my nutrients I bought specifically for them. Will find them at the end of the season I am sure.
Well, I wrote to a niece asking if she wanted my mom's table and chairs. She was thrilled. But then I thought about it that the table is so big, but she swears she wants them. Will come get it Thursday. It was really too big for the area I had it in too.
I have a 50's chrome and Formica table and chair set I bought on a lark for $25 and will put that down here just because I have it and need something in that space. It will fit better. When I move I might sell it for a couple hundred $. LOL, I think.
Plant Propagation part XXXV based on my own ex
Where are you JB. You told me on the other forum to come over and ready your post and you are waaaaaaay back there. You must be snoring.
Well, the new water heater is installed, the KOI pond is very clean and I got everything dead-headed. I still have some irrigation left to do but had too many visitors today and did a bunch of sitting around talking.
One of my new rain lilies, yellow, is blooming.
Dave, JB, Lee, please be careful with this wacky weather. Some one said there was a break in a ***** (cannot remember name) and the break was causing flooding below Billings.
Dawn, I am also meeting up with Dee Stewart from the Iris Forum. She is a commercial iris grower in the Portland, Oregon area. She and I are going to tour, she will be the guide, several large commercial iris growers. I also have 4 cousins in the Gresham, Oregon area I need to have lunch with. I wanted to come home the 9th but Vern was having a problem being gone so long so we are coming back on the 8th.
Dave, if you have any of those poppy seed when the pods ripen, I will take a few. Do they have to freeze. I think I read that somewhere. Maybe that is why they are not grown here.
My double bloom oleanders are just starting to bloom.
It is so nice to walk into my garage and not have any plants in there to try and walk around.
JB, I know you love to grow and sale your plants but I think you could probably find something that was less stressful. How about about rain lilies and oxalis. Oxalis is the "new in thing". Many new colors. Same with rain lilies.
Where are Evelyn and Linda?
They show more tornadoes tomorrow, just moving South Eastward. Such terror I hope none of us ever experience.
Katie, look out when going on line with Onalee. She is from the Florida area and has many unusual plants and trees.
I called the landscape supervisor today and had a discussion about irrigation. I was testing all the stations and found many spray bubblers turned off. I told him, just because a sprayer was watering bare soil, did not mean it needed to be turned off. If I had it there, it was watering something. Either roots, bulbs or something under the soil. He agreed to leave my irrigation alone unless I requested help. Then we went into the problem with them walking by pots, tripping over the irrigation line and dislodging it from the pot and not putting it back. I just about lost a prize rose tree because of such an act. Today, I all but locked the lines onto the pots. Next time they trip over the lines, they will break a leg. No reason to trip because they are buried.
I am looking forward to our trip but also very anxious. This couple has been watching our home and pets for the last 15 years. Before we moved in to our current home. One time I came home, old home, and the back grass in the landscape was blue. Anyone on here knows, grass is blue just before it dies. Irrigation valve had gone bad. BUT, I treasure the dogs, cat and fish more than material things.
When we were in Hawaii, she called and told me the kids were sitting on the foot stool, which is on wheels, and when they got up it slid and broke something. I asked what. It was a cover that was on a wood plate. I asked her if it was glass painted with squares and very tiny pink roses. Yes, that is it. Then she said she would pay o replace it. I told her it could not be replaced. It is a McKenzie Child cheese cover and is many years old, and not made any more. I also told her it was my fault because it was there. They came over today and we had a good laugh when I told her I was putting up anything that could not be replaced.
See you all must understand, when I was making bucks, if I wanted it I bought it. Looking back, that was so stupid, but it was fun at the time. Thank you God, I was making so much money, I could not spend it all. That is the only reason I as not broke.
I say my prayers of thanks every night and I pray for all of you every night. My prayer says, please give my friends, and name each one of you, strength, energy. hope and less pain tomorrow. I am sincere with this prayer. I do not go to church but that does not mean our Heavenly Fsther does not hear me.
Sorry for this but I wanted you all to know how important you are to me. Take care. Sharon.
Had another dove in the house today. Opened the patio french door and took a shower. I came out to get my ice and there was a stupid dove flying around the tall ceiling.
Lee is the one having problems with the flooding in Billings. Lets hope she is in a true flood plain like they say. She says the flower seeds we all have sent her are growing, so that is nice. Especially if all you see is water.
Sharon, you must be driving to Vancouver where you are letting Vern off? And then taking the train to Seattle? Is that what you said? And then flying from Seattle to Spokane? Good trip. I understand the train from Portland, just below Vancouver, to Seattle is a very nice trip. Don't they have a train that runs from Portland to Spokane? Like goes across Southern Washington rather than across the desert area in the middle of the state? I know even that would have some desert portion, but not as much.
Whichever way, should be very nice. What is Todd doing now? Did they open an office near his home? What area did they buy in?
I got an email from the Credit Union where I applied for a home loan, and she said she should hear on it tomorrow. The lender is the UW. University of Washington. It is the Teachers Credit Union, so I suppose that makes sense. So, once we get all the info on that my sister is going to have a lot of listings to show me.
I certainly hope to be able to meet you for lunch during all of that. I am anxious to find something so I can get in soon and get my house cleaned up and on the market before long. Can't wait until winter. That would be a terrible time to try to sell this place.
Well, lady, have a good trip, and you said you would have your laptop so I should hear from you.
Jnette, I am flying into Spokane. Staying there for 6 days and them flying to Seattle and then taking the train to Portland/Vancouver.
Todd is in a lawsuit with new company that took over old company. That is the problem. That is why no communication. They do not want to honer his old contract. He and about 20 other doctors in the same lawsuit. Court June 6th. Hoping for the best because they love it there. If they lose they will just go to work for someone else. Had to be quiet because of the law suit.
I am not bringing any plants. I am totally overwhelmed. I planted the Black Bamboo. I do no like to travel, I am very anxious about my garden but looking forward at the same time. You will need to meet Baby Luke. Just do not say anything mo Todd about the lawsuit I think he would shoot me. Bring you sister. Maybe we can go look at houses together. Loud mouth Mother Winter can give you her opinion. OMG. I am not gentle. I think they call me a ball buster. Shocking right......LOL..,
Sharon ~ I hope that you are having fun on your trip. Please let us know and send some pictures of the iris farms. Are you going to visit Forest Farm in Williams, OR? They have a nice plant selection, but their shipping is high. You could buy something there, and them ship them yourself, probably for a lot less. Thanls for the prayers, I have been a bit under the weather. I, also, give thanks every single day that I live for what I have, and for my friends and family. I also pray for the less fortunate as there are so many disasters now.
Dave ~ Are you there? We are all pulling for you...hopefully you are not inside that horrid storm. There is so much loss...please contact us when you can.
Well, it is late and I don't have much more energy, so I will say "Good night!" :-)
ok everyone here we go again: keep your feet and hands to yourself and out of the isles. place your tray tables in the upright position.

Please check in so I know everyone is accounted for.
Dave
