from 34 to 100 in four days, it has confused everything here.. I was taking pictures of the brugs in their spots, and looked up to see this big guy watching me, he didn't move, and I noticed a smaller one on down the fence hiding in the bushes, it looked like it might storm at this time, but of course, it did not, but they were sure ready for what ever went north of us ( tornados)

I brought a few tropicals back inside.. don't wanna lose anything to the crazy weather..

Well we still haven't gotten any rain....Who stole Florida ?? It's been pretty warm, but breezy, so not unpleasant in that regard...just very very dry. The Leafless Beaked Ladie's Tresses is making her annual appearance...I manged to get two tiny babies started from it this year.

mjs--I have tried hibiscus fertilizer. RJ was my first DG buddy when I joined DG in 2002 I think thanks to that glorious rangoon picture he posted. I've tried bloombooster and hibiscus fertilizer. I've threatened to chop it down with a machete and make a midnight raid on RJ's place in Houston to steal his and his tree fern which I covet. . .nothing works. I need to get the machete out again but I just can't admit defeat while it lives! I should just dig it up, plant it in a pot and deliver it to RJ and tell him I want it back just as soon as he gets it to bloom. I know he'd take good care of it. HAHA!!!!

Where is RJ? I know he had a trip to his brother's planned. Oh RJ--where are you??? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!!

Jo, your gloriosas are lovely, mine are just starting to come up this year. Very late.
This was an interesting find today. It is the newly emerged leaves of a cheesecake monstera that I thought was dead.

No, I have had this one for many years, all the old gardens around here have them. I love them and usually the deer eat them but I have been fortunate this year.

Good evening every one.

Had a very much needed rain today. Maybe every thing will start to
green up and to start growing.

Beautiful flowers and plant blooms. It is still just starting here. Tropicals seem to be putting out new growth. meanwhile, since Duke is gone, the bunnies and crows and squirrels keep raiding the pots and stuff. I think I need Joe to go "mark" the whole yard LOL
anyway, here is Carribia all open and rained on..
