Coffee Break #58
Not from what I read, pirl. We left many people there - a mistake in my book.
Protests in Jerusalem and a few other places. Not too big - yet.
The president and the top people monitored the entire thing in real time. They won't go into detail, but many people believe they actually watched and listened. Amazing.
Thank you, Victor.
We never know what's true or not when it's second, third or fourth hand news on radio or TV but I heard the Pakistani government would kill anyone left behind because they'd be able to tell the US who, in the government, was protecting OBL.
Those who watched and listened will never see any movie nearly as exciting.
I find this hysterical....talking about the compound he was living in...
"[they]burned their trash rather than leave it out for collection as other area residents did."
There are some parts in the States that don't even have trash collection!!!!
I agree with Pixie's statement....it's how I feel about rejoicing in another's death. However, he was an evil man, a mass murderer, killing not only Americans, but people from many countries. I know what my stepdaughter's husband went through watching the 2nd tower get hit, how he was locked down in his office, not knowing whether he would live or not. I only hope he isn't made into a hero by his followers, and that the violence doesn't escalate.
And even with all that, we gave him a chance to surrender. He chose his fate.
Just read another article which says the initial tip about the alias of the courier was extracted from Sheikh-Mohammed, the planner of 9/11, in one of the secret prisons in E. Europe.
can't believe it's mothers day already.. Easter was too close this year
True....have to cook this year as my Mom doesn't want to go out......
I can't remember the two ever being only two weeks apart.
my dad is getting a hip replacement on Thursday.. have to wait and see what's going on over there.. I would assume we are just going to go there and visit for a while.. no big hoopla here this year
Good luck to your dad, Allison. Hips are better/easier than knees.
thanks... he is going for blood work tomorrow.. his blood pressure was up and they were worried they couldn't do it.. keeping my fingers crossed.. he has been suffering with this too long now
Good thoughts for your dad, Allison! I worked with a man who had both hips done and said he never felt better. He was also overjoyed that he could golf again.
for his and my mom's sake.. I hope so.. he has been a bear the last month... they are both miserable because of it
Good luck Allison to your dad! Hope all goes well for him.
thanks Ronnie
Best to him and you guys, Allison.
thank you Victor... all my pals here... you guys are the best
Hope he heals faster than me!

Hope for a speedy recovery for your dad
good luck to your dad, Allison!

They shouldn't be white anymore....unless it's not a wild one.
Neat!
Being as it's only a few weeks after Easter....it could very well be a bunny someone got and it got away from them.
I once saw a pure white very chubby white rabbit standing on it's hind legs in a park near some bushes. It was easily 2ft tall with it's ears. At first I thought it was porcelain or stone, it was standing motionless, then when I got near it, - it ran into the bushes. I thought, "what is this, Alice in wonderland? I don't believe this"! lol!!
yes she was
no tail????
Very pretty rabbit!
