Welcome back Louise!
I just finished the black JBs in my GD basket LOL!
Big fan of gargoyles, they keep the bad spirits away...
Sorry Jen, so much bad news for you.

Cute! I like the Thinker too.
Yes, cool Bldg, Deb.
I like the one sticking his tongue out on my link.

An Emo gargoyle..
Welcome home Louise
I liked the first one on the gargyole page. I have a winged lion about 3 ft. tall. At first I thought it was a griffon, but lion rather than eagle head.
nice Ronnie... Randy would love it
That's a dragon design I've never seen before, and it looks great surrounded by plants.
Cool.
Welcome home, Louise! Glad you had such a great trip home. Everyone can have all my jellybeans! Cannot get one in my mouth! Chocolate is a different story.....If I had larger gardens, and more money, I'd like a griffon in the garden....
Welcome back north, Louise.
I like Black jbs, too.
Love the dragon.
Don't care for the black jb.
Have not put mine out and have not spotted any.
I like the black jb's when eaten mixed with the other colors
Some of the gargoyle styles are a little scary looking for kids, if you have the right garden for it it would look cool.
Lucky.....none here yet, or tanagers, either.....heard a warbler down at the dam, but no binocs, so no idea!
How about adjacent beds where gargoyles face fairies?
And who would win the heart of Man?
(Answer: Dante knows.)
succubi have more fun
I had to "Wikipedia" that one, even though I had a fairly good memory of it, but I wanted to make sure.
It was used in one of the greatest episodes of "Frasier"; agent "Bebe Glazer" sweet-talks Frasier into a false sense of confidence during his important contract negotiation, only to realize she had decieved him.
Frasier says to agent Bebe: "You're supposed to bluff THEM, not ME !!!"
Thanks so much for the hearty welcome home, y'all! ooops....gotta ditch the southern stuff now......Can you believe how many of us like the black JBs? I found that very interesting! I like the cinnamon ones too........ I'm not a gargoyle fan.....they scare me. Victor and fairies, hmmmm, not sure about that mix. lol
oooh, Sherrie - you saw a hummer already???? I've got to get my feeders out. We are south of you, so there must be some stopping by, at least!
Spent the whole day out in the black flies raking up the wet leaves and trimming back the dead stuff so I could rake. We transplanted Hank's heirloom family peony to raise it up so it will bloom more. We put one clump in the back garden where I moved many of my daylilies last year - many of you will remember the garden behind the stone wall where we gathered. That's where we took out all of the ditch lilies and took down the 60-foot black cherry tree with the poison berries that will kill the girls instantly if they bite into the pits. Now we still have to rake up all of those scary pits before we can let the girls outside. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the thousands of wet leaves in all the beds, but I'll get to where I can amend the soil for all the plants at some point.
This is the only thread I've checked at this point, so tonight I'll do some catching up on all the threads I've missed lately.
BA - love that Frasier quote...really fun show! I'm looking forward to seeing Modern Family tonight. We missed it last week...for some strange reason, we couldn't get it in the hotel.
