Zounds! That's amazing and wonderful to see!
Coffee Break #58
Wow good for you Sherrie!!
that is a lot of plants sherrie!
Wow Sherrie!!!
So here we go again, another funeral. Friend of hubby's that he used to work with. Had testicular cancer a few years ago, but was cleared of that, then last year had a heart attack scare, was admitted to the hospital last Monday for breathing difficulty, and died while in the hospital but don't know what the formal cause was. He was in his 50's
Ugh - sorry, Jen.
I am sure many regulars on the forum remember that I have been wanting to do a fountain project for the front walkway, but never found the right planter. Well I have finally found the perfect one. Great color, good large size and the oil jar shape. It's even made of fiberglass, which is much better. Only hitch - more expensive than I had anticipated. Have to think about this. I am inclined to bite the bullet.
Amazon has a big one for $329
That one is not bad, but this one is seven inches taller.
Oh, Jen, I'm so sorry.
Kids and DIL came over for dinner tonight. I had DH take Maggie outside while we were getting it ready. I asked him to have her deadhead the daffodills. I'll have to check it out.
Victor, life is too short.....read Jen's post again! Go for it! A friend told me today her husband's cancer has returned after being in remission for 3 years....just too many of those messages lately......
I'm Baaaaack!!! Hi Everyone!! We have arrived and are beginning the "open up" after a very tough winter around here. We had some snow in the backyard, but today's 70 degrees has done it in. We were welcomed by a beautiful scarlet tanager.....so gorgeous!
Jan - congrats on your new granddaughter....sounds like a great trip you'll be taking. So shocking to hear the sad news about your DIL's aunt. The highs and lows are really something, aren't they?
Harper - looking forward to seeing your latest drawings!
Marilyn.....no! Not poison ivy already??!!!
Celeste - cute dog shot! I'm sure you had lots of Easter Bunny fun!!
Victor - Bite that bullet and show us some photos! Sounds like the horsie vacation was tons of fun! I'm looking forward to the photos!
Sherrie - sounds like you are back in business with your seedlings!!
Jen - so sad to hear you guys have lost another friend. Tough year for you guys.
Glad everyone had a nice Easter! We had a wonderful trip up; the girls were amazing; quiet as mice in the car despite the long days, and in the hotels, they just quietly chewed their rawhide bones on the bed; We went to Harper's Ferry, some awesome farms that were the sites of civil war conflicts (so neat to explore them completely on our own). I found them through an app on my iPhone and in one of the barns, Lee's battle plan was found by Union soldiers and it led to some significant events in the war. I walked around inside the barn with the girls on a leash, and it was just awesome to stumble on such cool places. We also went to Antietam Battlefield, and that was so moving. Then we spent a wonderful Easter with my son in Conn. So, here we are with LOTS of tasks in front of us to put this house back together and unpack.....and then the gardens are calling as well. Busy, Busy!! But I'll be checking back in.
Hello to you all! Happy Spring!
Louise
welcome back lousie! say hi to hank.
Welcome back north, Louise!!
Surprise, surprise - you guys are encouraging me to buy!! ^_^
Hi Bill! Thank you.....he's returning the "hi"! :)
The black flies are already out here......way early!! Do you have them down at your place? How about you, Sherrie? Any black flies out there?? Ugh...usually we have them between Mother's Day and Father's Day....really early this year!
Thanks, Victor....LOL!!! Who, us??????
Nice to get away from all those NYers in FL!!
Debi - I forgot to mention how happy I am for you that your son will be coming back to your area. I know how happy that makes you! Sounds like you've got some happy events ahead....awesome! :)
they are starting up here - should be in fine form for the weekend when i work outside!
Manhattan skyline, Celeste?!! ^_^ Nice.
Enjoying my black jelly beans my wife got me. The only ones I like.
I was ravaged by black flies in Lake Placid. But that was early June. Is it early for them now?
You like black one, I thought I was the only one!! Do you like Anisette too?
Yes!
Black are my favorite too!! Hi Celeste! Thanks for the welcome!
Yes, Victor.......early for the black flies. Bill - we'll be out there swatting at them too! I don't know of anything that works on them!!
Welcome home, Louise!
Go for it, Victor. You only live once but if you work it right once is enough.
I'm a black only jelly bean fan, too, and love Marie Brizard anisette!
No black flies here, should reach 65 or higher tomorrow!
Brian took a bottle of "A" w/him ice fishing, stuck it in the snow and it turned thick like syrup but said it warmed him up from the inside out! LOL
... not me, I throw out the black ones and eat all the other colors. (lol!)
Welcome back Louise! ☺
I like green apple and pear.
Like Sambuca too, but anisette more.
I probably would not have hesitated had I not just pulled the trigger today on the wrought iron fence/gate.
Anyone a fan of gargoyle statues in the garden??
Brian loves gargoyle statues
