Coffee Break #58

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Ok, so it's been a cloudy, cold, windy, rainy spring so far. This is just a primer for the 'real spring' which is still yet to come.

- Okay, any time now Spring.. now's the time, I'm still waiting, don't let me hold you up.. Ugh, where is that Spring! lol!

Let's all talk about stuff! ☺

Beautiful shot WC! You made my morning!!

Welcome Back Victor!

NH on the coast now has a hummingbird spotting. It seems they did not want to go across the MA line and wanted to pay their taxes, until now

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I still think that map is off... people thinking they are seeing hummers already.. I have had a feeder out for 2 weeks.. nothing yet

Thomaston, CT

Our nature columnist reported a hummer today, I think it was in the southern part of the state.....also towhees......haven't seen either yet, but I usually just hear the towhees.....Drink-your-tea!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Welcome back Victor!

I hear ya on Spring WC, what the heck happened to her!?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I don't know Luvs, I'm still looking for it! It must be hiding under the bed somewhere staying dry! lol!

- happy I made your morning Pixie, it's Tulipa 'Pirand', 3rd year now, very nice tulips. Dependable, which is uncommon for specialty tulips. I'm buying another 2 doz for fall planting this year! ☺

Thanks for the new thread and encouraging pic, WC!

Thanks, guys! Nice to be back.

Yes, that is Rocking Horse. Nice place. Pricey, but all-inclusive. All meals, all gratuities and riding. Only extra charges for liquor and spa services. I did get a deep-tissue massage. Wow, almost squealed a few times! Dang, she dug her elbow way into me. Still sore from Tuesday!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I hear of that place all the time on the radio, they say it's very nice, great for kids!
(Maybe she was Swedish Victor, they give some serious massages!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Kids loved it. Thought my little guy might be a bit afraid of riding. Not at all!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

That's nice, makes for good memories. ☺

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Didn't know some horses have blue eyes!!

Thomaston, CT

They do? Was it a white horse?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - brown.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow what a beauty...love the blue eyes!

Hi Everybody!

Congratulations, Jan and Debi on the baby, job and marriage stuff. Jan, so sorry to hear about your DIL's aunt. Tragic. Welcome home, Victor. I didn't know horses had blue eyes either. That one is intense. What was the horse's name?

There's an article in our local paper about the "rare lily". It's a Clivia miniata. I never thought of the Clivia as rare. I have one. Some friends of mine have one. It's a great plant. Anyway, here's a link to the article.

Hey Harp! How is the class? I'll be there for a special tour of the new azalea garden in a couple of weeks.

Don't know the horse's name.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Coloring eggs with the kids right now.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I love coloring eggs!

The classes are going well. I am taking a class now outside of The Garden in Greenwich, CT. I do want to go to The Garden to see their latest art exhibit, "Green Currency". It's supposed to be fantastic. One of my teachers has a piece in it.

I'll bet the azaleas will be spectacular. Did you get to see the orchids?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Now if this hot blond had blue eyes...^_^

No, never got to the orchid show. Bummer.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Love the horsie shots!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

So how did YOU do with the riding Victor?? Blue eyes are often referred to as wall eyed. Don't know why. That's a roan behind the blonde. The blonde is a Palamino.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Harper!
Pretty horses Victor.

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!!!

Funny pic Celeste! Happy Easter all ☺

Thomaston, CT

It was a beautiful Easter morning....Garret called me yesterday in the midst of egg dyeing with the 6,4, & 3 year old......couldn't hear a thing he was saying! Hey, Harper....good to hear from you....post some pics of your work!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Happy Easter Everyone!

Been trying the Sinus Rinse lately and find it better than the Neti Pot. The extra pressure is what I assume makes the difference. With the neti, I could never actually clear out congestion once I had it. The sinus rinse can. I will try to use it regularly twice a day now. Got killed by the trees over the vacation. Even though I am taking Allegra, sometimes the massive amount of pollen just overwhelms, resulting in essentially a bad cold. Missed two nights sleep with a horrible sore throat. Since I am home, the congestion started, but the sinus rinse has been a godsend.

Certainly will be a nominee for next year's Darwin Awards.

thanks for the info!.. might give it a try

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Harper.

I always kinda liked the 'blue-eyed' ones. :)))))

My one grand daughter has names for everything and she remembers them all and is consistent. Now, I must school you in the names for flowers. White ones are called wee, yellow ones are waa, and pink ones are hornegans. So if you have a flower that has a couple of colors you have to combine the names. My oldest son who was here this weekend for mom's memorial just cracked up at his niece.

Thomaston, CT

Funny! Victor, sorry you are suffering....the red maples are making my life miserable.....

Hallowell, ME

Pine pollen gets me. Guess I'll have to try it too.

3 weeks later. The other side will be done in a couple of days and then sit back and watch, water and whatever.
