Laurel, if that is true, this will be my best cake ever. I have been nibbling on the ends, and it is good. How many persons are we having now, I hope you like the Texas caviar, I made enough. Would you like to have some lemon-lime phyladendron (?) a houseplant, I have rooted one from my original, In our tradition, we have to take something to the hostess when we visit the first time.
June RU
Save us some of that cake, Kiseta! I'm imagining a plateful of crumbs by the time you arrive. I have not done a count but a few guests have "maybe" guests coming so I think somewhere around fifteen. I would love a lemon lime Philodendron. Thanks for thinking of me.
Laurel and all, just a note to let you know Bill and I are really looking forward to this. I'm going after the rest of the coconut cake ingredients now. Is there anything else we could bring that you think we might be scarce on?
Linny
Linny, Thanks bunches. I will arrange my taste buds for coconut cake. We are set to go. The only thing I need is a group with hearty appetites!
Linny, did I fail to put you and Bill on the guest list or did I accidentally erase you? I need to go back and fix that. Sorry.
Laurel
Laurel , go back and check May 20 posts Unless it was erased, it should be there
Sally, I knew Linny and Bill are coming (we've been in touch) but somehow they didn't get on the list at the top of the thread or I erased them accidentally. I made it all better. Mia culpa.
Okay, I'm ready! Sorta. lol
I wish I was . Sat , RU, Sun ,Cookout here for kids , Mon , Tues ,Wed , pack trailer , wash dogs , all that unnecessary stuff . Thurs , take off for month and half , camp out .Phewww !
Oh I do love coconut cake - be sure you have me down for the 'tater salad...
Sterling
But then you're going to have a whole month to kick back and relax Sally. If you need to warm up to the dog washing thing you could practice on Goober and Pepper.
Sterling, I haven't written it in but know you're bringing it. We have at least one of everything at this point.
I've got one to wash in the morning . I have to pick up a feral cat that I had spayed today . Get her at 8:00 am in the morning , settle her in and get up there . Rush , rush , rush !
Laurel is already unavailable, but she knows Sandy is bringing Peach tea, and the ginger ale for the punch.
Linny, there is a message for you on the trade thread.
Take it easy, Sally, you'll get there when you get there! Drive safe. We've had another exciting storm for the last hour. And........ Valerie is coming!!! Yay!!
You probably just ignored us, knowing we live by one rule:
Everything is subject to change
at any minute
without notice.
No worries, Mate.
Coconut cake is soaking in Eagle Brand and cooling. Cool whip and Coconut come next, then in the fridge all night.
It will travel on ice and remain on ice. We can eat it right out of the cooler.
Yum.
I'm still checking in. It's a good excuse to get off my feet. lol It's not eight thirty yet. I've just finished plating the grilled salad with feta and griddling pita with garlic and herbs for the hummus.
Linny, I'd never intentionally ignore anyone with a coconut cake.
I have updated our list of who is bringing what at the top and think I've got my menu edited too. Check it out. Maybe someone should bring a treadmill.
Okay, time to get ready to light candles and serve dinner here. Travel safely and Shabbat Shalom.
Laurel
Peach tea sounds good , haven't had that . I'm gonna take a slice of my bisquit pudding , . have to make sure it's got everything in it . I'll probably bring most of it home , who could pass up that coconut cake ?
Eggs are done, plants are loaded, yet I feel I'm forgetting something.
The company we had since Mon. would drive anyone crazy.I just as soon have "The Cat in the hat". Looking foward to a wonderful time. Mike
"Coconut cake is soaking in Eagle Brand"

Yep , it had everything .
Be good to see you again Mike .
