More salt is generally used than pepper.
Things that make you go "hmmmm" or Say what???!!!! PT2
yes, a lot of pepper at once could be rather sharp.
I'd like the bigger pour spout on the pepper to fill the other pepper shakers.
I wonder why the garment manufactures still use the 'sew' in labels as opposed to the labels that can be printed on the garment. Sure would save me a lot of sewing up big gaping holes! I tend to cut the tag out as it is sticking me and that usually means a sharp object (doesn't have to be a scissor --I've grabbed pointy tweezers and combs with points and anything else to rip stitches or cut) next comes the twisted torso (goodbye shoulders ----hello rotator cuff surgery) and a lot of cussing ----then comes the big gaping hole!
but you still have to fill the pepper shaker too
I use a cuticle trimmer to cut out the labels
What never ceases to astound me are the 'official' looking envelopes I get in the mail. Designed to make it appear as important, personal and serious as can be (am I being audited????!!!!!) --- once opened ...it is an ad or offer for something or another. I can't tell you exactly what is inside many because I just toss without opening.
Do these folks actually BELIEVE that starting off a communication by attempting to fool the recipient into thinking it is something official is a good way to begin a transaction/relationship????? Not exactly trust inspiring.
Or how about those letters that arrive with an attempt to make the address look handwritten.....
.
That's how I ended up married...
Giggle.....yes, Rosie, I hate those envelopes....look for the words "standard postage"....then flip into garbage....
LOL Victor
They make sure you open the envelope that way
The divorce ought to be a snap then!!!!! HA!
Two weeks ago....my husbands is opening the mail....
'Sears wants to know if we want to extend the warranty on the washer and dryer.....'
'Nah' I say......... 'we have great luck with our appliances.........I'm not paying $400 plus for another few years.......'
Tonight.....I am hanging wet underware, socks, and work shirts everywhere.......
(He wants to say something.........but he don't dare..........not if he wants to live...........)
Murphy's Law
Oh, no!
Saw a cargo truck in post office parking lot that said on the side....
"Mobile unit: Caribbean and New Jersey division"
WOW that is some territory
NJ is often mistaken for the Caribbean.
Oh yeah....ALL the time
Hahaha. That's what I say all the time, but nobody believes me. Heehee
I'll take the Caribbean route, thank you!
Was at a car wash, watching the machine do its thing, when my husband saw a mouse come out from under the hood. Apparently the noise of the water scared her. As it swept back and started spaying again, she ran around and eventually dropped to the ground. When we got home, we opened up the hood and found a very comfortable nest at least 8 inches across. If she had just stayed put, she would have been fine, but as it is, she went from being a country mouse to being a city mouse with no home. No regrets she is gone, but I do feel sorry for her!
WOW, don't use that car much????
Oh, poor mouse....but it may have saved you a car fire!
I opened my glove compartment on my Mazda pickup and A G A I N I found shredded paper for a nice nest. The last time a momma built a next behind that little jump seat behind the passenger front seat.
There is poop back there too. HOW ARE they getting into the inside of the truck?????
eeeech...I keep cleaning - the truck is very clean and neat. What are they eating???
DH stores his cars in the winter, and we used to keep a dish of dog food in the garage. One spring, he started one of the cars and pieces of dog food were coming out the exhaust. No more dog food in the garage! They can get anywhere!
Put a little can of mothballs in the truck....
Robin
Will they eat and die in my truck?
No...the smell will drive them out....that's what my DH had to do to keep them out of his tractor when it was in the barn for the winter....
I spread mothballs all over our attic to keep them out
Tomorrow they move out!
i should not admit this...but are mothballs sold in grocery stores or hardware?
both, usually found in the laundry aisle
I should do that for the squirrels always getting in the attic.
Victor, we tried to do this with squirrels that were already in the attic. They just chewed their way down to the living room area and clawed up all the wooden diamond shaped grids on the windows while they tried to get away from the dogs who were chasing them all around the house while we were not home! We eventually had to have those "one way" traps put in by the exterminator to stop them from jumping from the trees to the roof and finding a way in.
OK I WON't complain about mice in the truck!
What a sight that must have been!
Squirrels cause a lot of damage! Had red squirrels getting in the attic of the house we rented when first married.....
tree rats are a good name for squirrls!
Just what my DH called them.....they are all over my bird feeder....very aggravating!
I thought I had the hole they were using covered. Have to get up there again. Such a hassle because it's low. Knee and back kill me afterward.
And the squirrels are snickering!
send a cat
They (squirrels) make an excellent stew and are very good barbecued too!!!!!
I'll pass for now, thank you.
How much photo shopping will they have to do on Lindsey Lohan's pics????
Lots! Is there anyone left on the planet who has not already seen her naked?
So the Ft. Hood massacre is being called 'workplace violence', not terrorism. The same bizarre pc that enabled the tragedy to happen in the first place continues. Unbelievable.
