Glitch this a.m.

Lots of problems this morning. When I try to click on a thread, nothing, or a blank page comes up. Then...nothing.

Several buttons are blank. Then, all of a sudden, I can get into forums.

Any other website I have visited works fine, so I don't think it's problems on my end.

Last few days of trading before a round up this weekend....sure wish this slow loading would end!!

Tabs have gone missing for me for a couple of weeks now, and that continues to happen. Now I just ignore them and click on the area where they're supposed to be and they work fine. Am also having some problems with speed the last few days.

I guess that after the storms things are a bit worse , my main page has issues , the other pages are not loading properly and i have checked several of them . i do not have issues on other sites with this so it is only on DG that i am having this problem. I am using FF and the newest one .

Just found a new problem. Went to Forums and there are no green stars by ANY of the forums.

Ditto faeden here. Never fully loads and tabs are missing although eventually fill in. Has been happening for quite a while.

Hmm, I just noticed something very strange - and unrelated. According to the information on my screen, faeden's post above was CREATED on Apr 28, 2011 at 12:17PM and then (as in later) EDITED at 11:09AM the same day. Unless faeden has solved the physics of time travel, I don't think that's possible.

The time stamp on the original post (the one that shows up under the poster's name in the left column) are automatically converted to your time zone. The edit time stamps are not converted, so they always show up in the original poster's time zone. Because of that, when you live on the opposite side of the country (or world) from the poster, their edit times can look weird like that.

Yes, ecrane, but DOS is right - my creation and edit times are an hour off from each other. It has nothing to do with DOS's time. I've had to adjust my time several times this year - never had to bother with it before. In this case I just looked at the time I have set and it's correct - Pacific Daylight Time. I'm now going to post this at 5:37pm PDT and then go back in and edit it and see what happens.

OK this time the creation and edit times are correct. I don't know what happened above, but it wasn't the first time I noticed this recently.

No logo, only one "button" -- my pictures won't load......what's going on?

Lots of delays today and total wipe outs.

I'll be glad when whatever this is about gets fixed!

At some point yesterday I couldn't get on the site at all. No problem with other sites.

Got a Memcache error yesterday, usually happens when the server is upgraded, but the links are not fully set-up yet..

And today I have two buttons instead of just one. Getting there maybe?

The data center reported another attack on Friday, and I noticed an outage yesterday (although I wasn't on much, as I was traveling to meet some DG'ers and buy some plants :-) From the emails I've been copied on, I know they're working fast and furious to fix the problems and try to prevent any additional attacks.

Are we as DG users in danger of anything from these 'attacks'?

I had been getting messages "cannot connect"............and no trouble with other sites.

For the last few days images haven't been loading. Sometimes if I refresh a couple of times that will help; other times they will load if I exit the post or thread and re-enter. Most of the time nothing will work but when I go back later they'll load.

All is fine for me, I am on Firefox, wonder if that makes a difference.

Today it has been horrible again. Can't access the site, have to go to another site, then go to my "recently viewed" on the addy bar, click on DG, then most of the time it will come up. Has to be a glitch somewhere that I hope they get taken care of soon!!!!

The site in general has been fine for me, but last night and today I've been having some problems with pictures loading. Thumbnails always look fine, and some full size pictures will load when I click on them but others won't. Here's one that I couldn't open last night, and today it still won't open http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8538193 I can see the thumbnail just fine, but the full size version won't load. Here's another one that I just found in the ID forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8539421 I'm on a Mac with Safari, haven't had time to try a different browser.

That bug photo popped right up for me. I think we have gremlins in cyberspace. :>)

Both of those loaded right up for me.

When you run into something odd, if you can grab a screen shot or even note the URL so that tech will know where to look.

Second, the first post of the thread. If I click on the blank picture I go to the expanded image and the picture loads. Weird.

I'm back at work now and tried the two problem pictures in my earlier link on my work computer (Windows, IE7) and they don't open on this computer either. I don't remember how to do screenshots, but the post itself loads fine but where the picture should be there's an X.

Don't know. I only use IE.

Just checked again (back home with Mac/Safari) and now both of the problem pictures are loading fine.

The examples I showed above seem to be working now.

I don't think this problem is browser related. I use IE at work and Mac/Firefox at home. I didn't see any problems today on IE; however, I only logged on to DG maybe 4 times at work and each for only a few brief minutes, so I may have just not been on during problem times. Right now I'm on the Mac/Firefox and 2 of my tabs are missing. For me the problems recently have been few and far between with either computer, but I suspect this is somewhat random or, at least, not related to OS/browser combos.
