Glitch this a.m.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I'm still missing 2 tabs up top but DG seems to be running ok. Just wanted to let you know.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

I have all of my tabs now, and things seem back to normal for me. Have you tried a reboot just to see if that will help? That sometimes works for me when I have 'missing' tabs. I leave my laptop on all of the time and also leave a DG browser window open (or two or three). I think sometimes over time something accumulates in memory causing problems of this sort, problems which often clear up with a reboot. (I rebooted a time or two yesterday while troubleshooting my internet connectivity problem, and now my screens look normal. If you haven't rebooted yet, it may be worth a try.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Thank you Dream, I'll try that right now.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Ok, rebooting didn't help in Google Chrome which told me to try another browser...it's all ok in Firefox. Thanks Dream, I didn't even think to try a different browser.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

Glad that worked for you, weegy! I'm using FF. I've not tried Chrome yet, but I really like FF. Among other features, I like the built in spell checker, a true godsend for those like me who can barely spell, and the fact that it saves my 'unsent' posts should anything go wrong.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I have been using Chrome for quite a few months now because I was having trouble with it running slow. I'll give it a try again.
Thanks again, back to normal now.

Kansasville, WI(Zone 5a)

When I tried to connect to DG I got "connect to host failed" This started at 9 am and
the last time I tried was 11:10 am, and was still getting that error.
Now at 1:42 I tried again, and was able to connect to DG.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Yes, we've experienced a long outage today. I'm assuming it is the same problem with the data center.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

I got it, too. I'm at work, so at 1st I thought they had changed the firewall to block access.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I was not able to get on until after about 9 am PDT. A couple of times since I have gotten the timed out error and things are a bit slow to load but still workable. I'm at work so stuck with IE8;o)

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Same here, tried 3 different browsers. All is well now!

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

I didn't try to get on this a.m. But when I tried around 7 p.m. it was giving problems. I thought it was my satelite connection from the way the error said.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

It was a server problem, according to our tech lead. It was not something we've seen before, and didn't have any way of anticipating. But they are taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee, is everyone's fixed now? My top is still lacking a lot!

Mine is fine...

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Try a refresh Kell, and see if that cures it.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Terry, Yesterday I was printing out planting information from my journal when it went down. Panic, but I went outside and started organizing the ones that I had already printed out and I said a few kind words to Mother Nature and later when I came back in it was all repaired. Planted all day with my DG Journal notes in hand. Life is good, especially when things work out and DG is up and running. Out to plant more today Patti

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I guess it knows you rate here, Terry. LOL. Thanks Melody, I did and also rebooted my computer. And cleared my cache. This AM my home page is fine but if I go to any other forums, I am missing 2 of the buttons. But I can live with it, I found if I click on the nonpicture it will work, just looks odd.

Gee looking at this photo I see the clock is off by an hour too.

I can't help you on the missing images, but to fix the time you need to go to My Info and Preferences and update to daylight savings time.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Kell, are you using Firefox? I had that same trouble in Chrome, but now in Firefox.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

And Kell, you have 12 d-mails!! You popular thing you!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTF

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am so popular and so hot, not to mention so cute! LOL Aren't I, Sue?

Hey Sue, I was thinking of you today. I was driving around and noticing so many Robinia newly dressed in full chartreuse glory! Oddly all were about the same size which means some local nursery must have had them for sale about 7 years ago I estimate. One house had 3 in front! Seeing you here saves me from looking for that thread where you told me you got one, to respond to you. I am so jealous!

Thanks Liz. Daylight savings time adjustment is not automatic? I guess not! :LOL

Hello again Sweet Chele. I still pronounce it as Chili. LOL

I am down to 1 missing button. Much like my mind.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Hi Kell!! yes, so cute and uber hot!

My new Robinia looks so small in this new garden but the color still glows against all that green! All the shrubs in the backyard will be removed, including the hedge behind the bench and the tall red photinas. You can see some of the over 600 of my potted plants on the right side (about 200 still at my Mom's). That's my new yellow cart, love it! The 1/2 acre goes to the row of redwoods in the back there. Lots of work, I have been clipping and tearing out shrubs for days already but I can envision the roses, daylilies, iris and all my other plants plus garden structures so it keeps me going!

Sue, that is going to be amazing when you get it the way you want it. You have a bunch of great foundation plants and a wonderful view! Can't wait to see what you do. Hey, we have a cart like that. It's wonderful for moving things around! Just don't move railroad ties with it. LOL Ours is retired in the barn....

All of my buttons are just fine! The only thing I've noticed at all, is that it seems a bit jumpy from page to page, not seamless like it was. Probably just needs a minor tweak somewhere and doesn't affect usability. :P

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am still 1 buttonless this AM! LOL. 3rd button in whichever that one is.

Hey Sue, it looks fantastic as it is! So sad to remove all those mature plantings! But I am sure it will look even more spectacular when you do more of what you want to. The only thing that stops me from being so jealous of all your room is that I am getting too old to garden like I used to. I am becoming a lookiloo which has its good points for sure! Of course do not ask me how much I have spent on plants this last week, I am still addicted to that. Made a trip to Longs yesterday, so sad. Still great plants but store is getting sold out. I will so miss that place.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

Kell,

Did you try a total reboot? That usually works for me as a last resort.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Yeah, but if Sue open's it up to the greenspace (is that the plan??), it's going to look massive and showcase those daylilies!!

ROTF Kell is too old to garden! Too old to dig up water lines? I'm so running out the door now. Save some money for me Kell. :P :P :P

It just took quite a long time to refresh this page.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

The problem with the large shrubs is they are so overgrown that they are shading out the layer of trees and shrubs along the fence, whoever planted them didn't take into account how large they are and then they were never maintained or trimmed. The red photinas are right along the path edges and in some places I have another 20-25 ft. behind them to the fence. That's way too much planting space to give up! I plan on planting several rose hybrid musks & climbers along the fence and some of the larger shrubs like Sambucus and maybe a few of the smaller cypress' I have always wanted. I already found 2 large snowball viburnums, yeah!

Marlton, NJ

Having problems since the glitch this morning and I did reboot. I can't seem to post photos and it won't take all replies I make. Thank you.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

how big are your photos on average? I just uploaded a 942 kb photo in the test forum without any problem or noticeable slowdown.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

I have buttons missing all the time. I never wait for them to totally load on the page. It always works anyway.

I keep having trouble trying to go back to my home page to read another thread. I keep dropping the page and have to refresh it. Sometimes it goes to the home page, sometimes it goes to the community forums page.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Is that a spinning wheel I see under one of the trees on the left?

Marlton, NJ

Thanks Terry. My photos are no more than 742 kb. It seems to be working better this morning.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Good to hear but let's keep an eye on things.

Sioux City, IA(Zone 4b)

The site loads slow for me the past few days, and still today. No problems with other sites I visit so I have to assume something is still "wonkee" here. Refresh helps with missing tabs, but is not permanent.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I experienced a few slowdowns late last night but all seems okay this morning. But I'll make sure the tech guys know we're still dealing with some slowdowns and missing tabs from time to time.

Brownsville, KY(Zone 6a)

Banners and tabs at top aren't loading for me.

Memphis, TN

Slow....slow....slow still today. And the buttons are still missing on all pages except the Home Page.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

I lost my banner and tabs last night, but after coaching everyone else on how to get them back I was too embarrassed to admit it. I'm at work today, and everything looks fine here.
