Glitch this a.m.

I'm not sure when we began experiencing problems, but when I logged in around 6:45 this morning, the site wouldn't load. I contacted our data center and they confirmed they were aware of the problem and working on it.

I noticed it at 6:45 am, good to know it wasn't my internet provider. ☺

Not having DG meant I got the veal stew made for dinner already.

It's still hanging up a bit for me. Some of the pages don't fully load. Even while I'm typing this, it still says the page is loading.

According to the tech team they are still working on things (it is affecting all IB sites, not just us)

There might be some glitches here and there today, so bear with us.

I certainly have been noticing it. I couldn't log in at 11am PDT, but was able to about 5 minutes later. But it's been slow and acting kinda weird since then. When I tried to login to this forum it glitched up and wouldn't load at first and had a black band across the threads.

I had that black band in another forum. It is too slow and 'wonky' to put up with so I will try back in 6 hours or so.

Not complaining. Just an FYI. :)

I've noticed for awhile that the names on my tabs don't all fill in. I just figured it was on my end. Maybe it is. LOL

No, that is part of it. I'm getting them(or lack of them) too.

Well that is good to know, for me. Hubby was talking about backing up my system and wiping it out since it's been awhile.

yeah, graphics and photos are slow still.

Glad that all of the bugs got worked out☺It is such a relief to come back and everything works like it is supposed to!

Is there still a glitch today? Dave's will not fully load for me. 2 of the top tabs will not load.

I'm feeling your pain, too. I have the tabs that don't fill in. Also find that screens are slow to load this afternoon, or some are. Got a 'connection reset' on one DG browser window in the last few minutes. Definitely seems like something is amiss.

Could it be weather related? Not sure where the servers are now located, but we are having storms today (and right now).

Me too, Weegy. The top of the page is all green, nothing else but empty little boxes. I tried to post with a photo on a forum and it spun forever and would not post. I will try again here.

Yes Kell, mine's spinning too, like it's trying to load but never does. My screen looks just like yours.

I understand about computer glitches, but this is the second time in just a few days. What's the word on when it will be fixed PERMANENTLY? DG certainly didn't have these kind of problems so often in the past.

A few days ago, a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack on another IB website (I'm not sure which one) affected all the sites hosted at the same data center.

All of our info is completely safe (in case you were wondering), but these malicious attacks can have some lingering effects. The tech team is working to fix and stablize everything, and I can only apologize for the inconvenience.

All seems OK here as far as posting and visiting the forums. But the top banner is still just green and oddly my HOME button is gone! LOL I am without a home!

These things happen and I am amazed at how this site runs so well 99.9% of the time! So do not let your hearts be troubled! I am sure it will be fine soon!

Glad to say things are running smoothly.

Just FYI, shortly after my post (Friday, above) regarding problems loading DG screens, I lost all internet connectivity at my house. A modem/hub reset restored my connection for a few minutes after which it was gone again, this time more or less for good. The problem persisted through Saturday with my connection coming back a time or two but only for minutes before going out again. I just reset my equipment again, and, for now, am back online.

I suspect that my connectivity problems over the past day or two were due to problems with the carrier. I'm using ATT DSL right now. I didn't call them to confirm that they were having problems, but that seems the most likely explanation, since I'm back up now and see no reason to suspect problems with my equipment.

Thus I cannot be sure if the problems I reporter on Friday were actually due to problems with DG or just early signs of the problem that ultimately took my entire network down. Also, if AT&T was having problems, I'm wondering if they may also have been affected by some of the same DOS attacks that had caused problems for IB. Seems awfully coincidental. At any rate, I just wanted to let you know that I subsequently found that I was having problems on my end that day and thus cannot say for sure if the issues I reported here were due to DG, AT&T, or both.
