Spending Spree part 5
Seems I'm the only one who did not order from Michigan Bulb!
No, I never did either...I get enough of the other catalogs to last a lifetime!
I did a few times years ago before I knew any better, any mistakes they do take of without any question( but after twice not getting it right, didn't order anymore from them) what irks me about their catalog is there is no Latin name
I've escaped the Michigan bulb co. as well. Some of the other co. s have gone downhill, but that one seems never to have been uphill.
LOL
I, too, have avoided them. Didn't know they were so bad.
Karen
Ha ha - never went uphill. Or started so low there was no down?
I think it was they were probably starting low and never went up.
Karen
Right.
think that is how I ended up with so many noid iris ... they had names when they came from MB... and were not the right ones
Sounds like my DL story.....
and it was like christmas again... my order from new garden plants came today.. what great shipping!!!!.. and a nice big box from Celeste came too!!.. AWESOME SHIPPING!!!... Randy was very proud!!!!
^_^

Karen

allison looks like you were a happy camper today too!!
ooooo, ahhhhhh
LOL Jen... Celeste I spotted a purpleish looking one too.. first thing I thought Celeste.. gee I have several glue guns.. and I am going to hold on to the cloth sleeves
they sent a cat mint as the freebee.. anyone grow those?... too crazy in the ground?
I love cat mint. They can get large, though. I have the Walker's Low. After the first flush of blooms I cut it back and it makes more for another show. Probably has a good 20" spread.
Karen
I had gotten a cat mint too as a freebie from Bluestone, pretty well behaved so far, in full sun
If you're wondering if it's invasive, then no. It stays in a clump. Nothing like the spearmint and peppermint.
Karen
Not a fan of it, unless it's low. It tends to flop.
I have nepeta too. I like everything about it except the smell. Makes a beautiful back drop for pink tulips.
You know what I think smells worse? Certain salvias, like 'May Night'. I call it the cat pee plant.
Karen
So after many weeks of looking, I finally took the plunge and bought 2 JM. Thanks Bill!
GRANDMA GHOST
OTOME ZAKURA
