Thanks again. I cant go to the hospital if I "THINK" . I have to have a real problem. I have thought about this since Friday and now I know what happened.
Jim was mowing the lawn and yelled at me to pick up a hose. Well Sherrie the dumb Jackwagon didnt just stroll and move it. I was motivated, ran, bent down, picked it up and threw my body and the hose into a spin. The hose was a 50 or 75 footer. 2 years ago the shoulder, that still bothers now and again and now a pulled muscle.
Again thank you all and now lets move on to Random Thoughts.
Jim always said that I could mimic the Cowardly Lion on the Wizard of OZ
Random thoughts
I think you are tough, Sherrie!
Me too.
Sherrie, thats was me last month. It WILL get better!!
Here my story...
My my filling fell out along w/a piece of tooth. I got an abcess, had to go to ER for antibiotics and they put me on pain pills. I take 1 pain pill, sleep. 8 - 9 hours later I take another pain pill. Sleep, wake up suddenly and vomit so hard I wet my pants. On Brians birthday. :( Can't take the pain pills.
Then I get a cold, a bad one with fever, congestions ect. No ER....last time was not good, don't want their medicine!!
Brian gets the cold, coughs and something happened. He had to have a minor surgery.....bed for almost a week. During this time Workmans Comp. decides they are no longer going to pay him, they want to settle so they cut off his checks. We are now living on mine. :(
DD finds out thats as of Aug. 1st...she is out of a job. This is the newly wed one who was saving to buy a house.
2 weeks ago I realize the payroll service I use has not been taking out Fed. Taxes...I.R.S. man, Dan comes a calling!!!!!
I now have it all under control but it was one roller coaster of a month!!!!
IT DOES GET BETTER!
OMG, Pixie....sounds like my life!
LOL, but it does get better right Robin?
Wow.
Wow Celeste, glad things are looking up
Don't stand too close to Celeste!!! ^_^
Now you guys know what i've been up to. ;)
Sounds like other organizations have been 'up to'.
Does it get better, Pixie?...I don't know, I'm not there yet.....
Oh yes it does Robin, but of course life will throw you another curve ball...tis life! ^_^
Too true....my brother did get some good news...the doctor is not operating on his heart valve just yet....a reprieve of sorts.....
Geeeeeez.....
My problems are smaller...sending positive thoughts, prayers, and vibes to all of you.
Thanks.
Yes - best to you, Marilyn.
Thanks, Victor. How, Sherrie?
My vote for the most ineffective invention ever goes to the crumb-catcher in the toaster.
Any one know how long the battery last between charging on one of those tracking ankle bracelets? INS in Connecticut put one on my neighbor and she is afraid she can't go to work because the battery will go dead and she will be in even more trouble.
I know that Immigration is a two-edged sword but it sucks to know really good, hard working people who get treated like hard core criminals.
INS is very tough, usually they, (INS), can get a signal telling them the battery is running low before it runs out, so she might get a 'slap on the wrist' if it does. - depends on the type they used. The ones I've seen are 7 & 14 day, but they may have changed the types they are using since I've last seen them.. - they have many different types now.
Tell her to ask them...I'm sure they gave her a list of instructions
I saw the instructions and it didn't say anything about the battery life. I found out that Connecticut was first in using ankle bracelets on illegal aliens. The bracelets cost $600 each, which is fine for pedifiles and violent offenders - but a woman who has two small children, has had the same job for eleven years and owns a house? What kind of risk is she to the community?
I understand the bigger problem - it is when it is someone you know, who is like family that it the issue get confusing. She and her family are so much better neighbors than, say, the racist priest across the street who shoots off a starter gun trying to intimidate people who aren't like him.
Was there a # she can call if any questions? at least they just did a bracelet and not microchip
Is that priest still there??? I thought they finally locked him up?
Actually there isn't a number for her to call. I tried the number for the "reward if you find this" - but that was just a recorded message. And the preist comes and goes and hasn't caused any more trouble.
Sad about your neighbor.....
What do we do with a quality artificial leg of a deceased sister. What's the best charity?
Don't know 'the best' but how about a veteran. women need them as well.
Salvation Army
Veteran's Hospital....
Thanks. There is a thick layer of bureaucracy at the vets hospital but it was my first thought. I'll call Monday.
Call the prosthetist that made it and see if they have a charity suggestion. I know of a local prosthetist who went with a group to Hati and they took used limbs to remake for the earthquake victims a couple of years ago. Probably the foot is the only part that can be recycled - but they are expensive.
They can be modified to fit someone with similar size or they can be taken apart and the parts used.
Thanks again. We will contact the prosthesis provider for info about donating the leg.
This is nice modern lightweight metal with realistic knee motion. the most difficult adjustment would be for the stump socket. The leg is similar to what the injured vets come home with.
