Deb, Bella is beautiful! I love her markings and the docile look on her face.

Thomaston, CT

Bella is a beauty....and yes, Ben is a load! Twice his brother's size.....DH & I weren't sure about getting kittens with our Irish wolfhound......we put a crate in the kitchen for Pip & Squeak, & Nora would check them out....we did this for about a week, a few hours a day....when we saw Nora's tail wagging, we carefully introduced them face-to-face......Nora & Pip were the best of friends....Pip would sleep on her during the night....she never cared about Squeak, but never bothered her....maybe you should try a male kitten, Deb, & see what happens.....

I saw the weirdest looking dog. At first I thought it was a black and white corgi, but then noticed the hair was too long and curly then I thought it was a llasa apso but the face wasn't right more like a pekinese/pug face, had to be a mix of them all...very strange looking dog

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Are you sure it wasn't the BronxZoo cobra in disguise?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Beginning to think so snake ever escaped. PR campaign.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone,
Robin, I like what you did with your kittens, hadn't thought about 2 kittens...

Some scary news from the vet tonight for Atticus. I took him in for his regular check up and shots. He thinks he may have a heart problem, his heart beats were all over the place, I listened too and it sounded so weird. First real fast, then slow, then a couple beats missed...crap I'm so worried. He is calling the cardiologist tomorrow to see if we can get him an EKG lying on the floor or standing. He doesn't want to give him valium to relax him since we don't know the cause yet. If we can get him a standing one the cost is reasonable...if not it could be over 500$.
Heart disease is the # one killer in Great Danes...#!!#

Sorry to ramble but I don't know what I'll do if this dog is sick...my 5 year old GD Sophie calls him her husband, she just said today he was her favorite...crap

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So sorry Ronnie, will pray for a good outcome.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Same here, Ronnie.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys.
I have to say this made me laugh a few minutes ago...vet said when Att was relaxed to listen to his heart and see if it sounded the same as in the office. He had been lying on the love seat for a good bit so I thought I'd give it a try,I listened and listened, sounded good...It was Diesel! LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ha ha ha!!!
If it makes you feel any better, my heart does the same thing as Atticus's....I have palpitations and have had them for over 20 years. :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

About as long as you know Brian?! ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Pixie, hope you have a great celebration.....he's a great guy! Ronnie, fingers crossed for Atticus....hopefully meds will do the trick.....my dale has a severe heart murmur, everytime we are at the vet's he asks if Robs is coughing.....that's a bad sign.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

the Bronx Zoo Cobra now has a campaign page on Facebook to get it on Saturday Night Live as a host. Hey, it worked for Betty White. ROTFLMAO

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

The Bronx Zoo Cobra has been recovered. Well - it was GREAT fun while it lasted.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah - in the reptile house! Don't think they really looked hard.

Thomaston, CT

Would you? I would've stayed away from the zoo. Mr. Robs being silly......

I was very stealthy, yet they still seem to hear the click of a camera before it clicks. They were asleep!

Robs is too cute... what a nice shot Weeze!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Rob is a handsome boy, silly or not!
Love those kind of shots Weeze, they hear you coming because they don't want evidence of the secret frienship. :) LOL

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice, Weeze. I don't know if you can do this on your camera, but mine has an option to turn off the clicking noise, which I have done so as not to disturb wildlife or domestic life. :-)

Karen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Found this amusing, after I came in from shoveling found the cat laying by the fire in his chair. Did I ever mention he's modest?
