The Wizard of Oz couldn't do better!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I painted it quickly.

Thomaston, CT

The bird on the right looks British.....

East Bridgewater, MA

I don't see it drinking a cup of bland tea, but I'll take your word for it.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

That is sad because they so depend on us.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes, very sad. Like Katrina.

Lizzie is so sweet... too funny JoAnn

South Hamilton, MA

So many Katrina pets were lost & I can remember a reporter approaching a dog on a bridge which 'screamed' it was so tramtized.

Cute cat in the basket.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

"Cat in the Basket" great shot!

Thomaston, CT

Sad tsunami stories.....I wouldn't go to a shelter, either, if I couldn't take my dogs....Jo, love the Jerry photos!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Anyone following @BronxZoosCobra on twitter? It is sooo funny. The Bronx zoo has misplaced one of their cobras and whoever is tweeting for it has it "running" all over NYC!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Heard about it, but not following.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

INMHO it is worth following. The cobra is no Sockington - but it is funny.

South Hamilton, MA

supposedly still in the reptile house somewhere, hope so as it is extremely poisoness.

Thomaston, CT

My nephew & family live in the area!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Now a Twitter hawk and a Twitter mongoose are on the prowl for the cobra (who is probably really inside the snake house somewhere).

Thomaston, CT

A golden eagle was released into Mohawk Forest yesterday....I told my son to be on the lookout.....well, driving to art class today I spotted an eagle over the Wigwam Reservoir, but it was a bald .......

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

The twitter thread is soooooo funny!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

OMG! Mike Bloomberg just tweeted about @BronxZooCobra!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh goodness.. I need a nap... reading Memory's post... I am thinking ... what kind of hawk is a twitter hawk... UGH... boy am I out of it... what a dope

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

We've been talking about getting a kitten, but I don't know if Bella would accept one.

aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww Bella Wella Boo Boo Face!!!!

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

What a beautiful dog! Great markings.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I agree Bella is a real beauty!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks all, she is kinda cute, and very sweet. I was never a dog person until this dog.

East Bridgewater, MA

I vote for getting a kitten.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

OK, she is kinda cute, and sweet, but very strong. I'm afraid she would hurt a cat.
How can I safely find out?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think they will get along fine!

East Bridgewater, MA

Can you ask a shelter for a test run?

Just slowly say the word "E.A.S.Y." in a calm voice, Bella will catch on.

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

Most dogs really like cats, but most cats don't like dogs. Try a small kitten, Bella will either mother it, or try to eat it. You've got a 50/50 shot!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Bella is beautiful! I would try a kitten with her and see how she does. If you or anyone else has never encouraged her to chase cats, then you might have a good shot at it. I had a dog many years ago that I had encouraged to chase cats. Then we had friends who wanted us to take care of their cats for awhile. Well, that didn't work out. He chased them all over the house. Poor things were traumatized! I learned never to teach a dog to chase cats if you ever want to get one in the future.
