2011 NORTH CENTRAL TX RU **MAY 1ST** (TRADE LISTS)

Arlington, TX

They are about the easiest plants to start from pieces so I can pot up a good number.

Last year was my first year ever to start seeds. This year was my first time ever to winter sow. I have had moderate success and have a couple of extra seedlings that I'm adding to my haves list. They are still small and I have no idea if/when I am supposed to start fertilizing them. I have looked around but it seems to be a matter of preference for most people. I went out today and cleaned out my greenhouse and up potted my extra seedlings to share. It will not hurt my feelings at all if no one is interested in such small seedlings but I will list them anyways. Please check my list..... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8437077

Arlington, TX

Catz, I have a passion vine for you. It's still in the bed and small but trust me they grow fast.
C

Arlington, TX

I potted up 13 zexmenia and 6 are spoken for. I find that plant is hard to transplant and they might not all make it or at least they might look poorly for a few weeks. Frostweed would you like anymore of those for the garden?
C

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh thank you C :) Is there anything on my list you would like? I just updated it LMK :)

Arlington, TX

Actually I would like a coral nymph salvia seedling and the wall flower if you can spare both.
C

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I also have a few Zexmenia. I found a couple of West Texas Mistflower yesterday and potted those up, too.

Arlington, TX

Stephanie, do you have any techniques that you use to make digging up and potting zexmenia less stressful for the plants? Mine suffer a lot and it takes a while for them to recover, if they don't just die.
C

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll put you down for both C :)

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I have them in full blazing sun and not in the best soil. Also, they don't always get a lot of water and they probably dry out during watering. They're out on the curb by the street, so you know it's hot out there in the summer, too.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Steph.....I may have over-watered then. Try again in a drier area.
Catz....got you down for Lyreleaf Sage....I love that plant!
