Tropical Garden # 95

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Really love that Anthurium, Rachel, I almost got one, but got some weird spider lily bulbs instead.
Dave I wish I could grow camelias here.. Love your idea about having things to see and do there.

Those Clivias that were posted earlier were down right exotic looking.
Dave.. I am going to confess, I am a Plant Geek. People just do not understand us Geeks. Any way, my people don't. I collect plants and think about plants the way a math Geek dreams about numbers, as I am sure all that are here do.
I am a seed Head too.. so I was poking around and found this baby thing on top of the soil.. I felt like I was holding a new born. Wish I knew if it was a orning glory or a four o clock, i have both of those popping up everywhere around here.

Debra, now THAT'S BIZAAR-LOOKING! Have you posted your 'lust' list on the sticky, yet? I guess my idea to post our wants and haves lists wasn't popular - oh, well!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL Kay, my list is too long.

Huntersville, NC(Zone 7b)

Prita,

So sorry you misunderstood me!

I was talking about next winter when you bring your Alocasias inside.

Gave everyone a breath of fresh air Saturday morning...

Kay, if I could get to DG from work, believe me, that list woud be posted!
I highly agree it is a nice sticky to have.. I am not good at striking things thru that are recieved yet. Or any kind of computor stuff mostly. LOL

My Nanking Cherry is in full bloom. I must get a pic of it. So are the violets, soon I will have a wave of them across the south fence garden and west side of house garden.

Hi to Everyone!!
Another gorgeous day in Texas but now I am begining to worry that we will have a dry spring. I have to water stuff already. (not complaining though)

ardesia, I used to buy very nice rare plants from a seller in Hawaii called Noveltyg Green. I noticed that he has not listed any plants for a while now.

Metosideros, I wish that someone can ID your Bromeliad. I would like to purchase one.

RachelLF, I appreciate you trying to identify the anthurium, I will try again in the aroid forum after I have nursed it back to a healthy condition.
I bet we were bidding against each other for that Philo mexicanum, and you won. I got a second chance offer.lol
It's fun knowing that we appreciate the same plants. lol

This is another Anthurium that is on the road to a good recovery after the bad winter.

homer1958, you did a great job overwintering your plants, They all seem to be very heathy.
I have the best luck overwintering this colocasias. and the Xanth. Mickey mouse and Lime Zinger.
That is a very pretty Japanese Magnolia tree.

Joeswife, my guess is a four-o-clock, I have one that looks exactly like your picture, from seeds you sent me.
That is a very nice combination of spring flowers in your pot. Good Job!!
My begonias and johnny jump ups usually return in the spring for me, but my pots are empty this spring.

GAgirl1066,

Very nice color in the cattleya.

Thank you so much Prita. I seem to have made a "greenhouse" out of a garage!

What I wouln't give for a Greenhouse! (I can dream....)

And it was probably me who has been bidding against you guys on the Aroids and loosing my A*S.

Paula, I enjoyed viewing all the plants that are in bloom for you, especially the Mendillia.

Homer, thank you and I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of your P. giganteum and that is a very nice looking group of plants you posted a picture of. What is that monster of a plant to the right, inside your garage?

Rita, yes, we sure do appreciate the same kind of plants and I hope someone on the Aroid forum can identify your noid and lol, I have no idea if you were the one also bidding on that Philo. but I'm glad he gave you a second chance offer on it. You have also posted another Anthurium that I'm not familiar with either. It sure is a gorgeous one and looking very healthy. How is your Anthurium chiapensis doing?

What you thought might be white l.b. rose is actually a Spirea. All are beautiful!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Uhm.. I think I was bidding on some stuff you all were LOL
Oh well..
Nice blooms all of them, love the blue vine flower Rita posted ..
Dave, That Tacca Plant is awsome, and could you send me some of that wild orchid? LOL
