One unhappy man and 8 really happy men?
Thats Entertainment # 8
She certainly led a long and interesting life. My Dad always called her "Violet Eyes", just like eveyone called Frank Sinatra "Old Blue Eye's".
She really did have violet colored eyes.
Yes, very, very unusual. She was truley a beautiful women in all stages of her life. Look at these photos, just plain lovely.

Well, not in the later years. Let herself get way too heavy and the drink combined to make her look horrible. It's really what killed her.
She was sort of dhoie looking in her later years. I was so surprised she was only 4 years older than me.
Her biggest mistake in marriages was to Eddie Fisher. What on earth was she thinking.
She should have married Mickey Rooney.
What a pair they would have made. Her true soul mate was Mike Todd
Richard Burton was a chemistry connection.
Well,... may she rest in peace.
She was talented and beautiful in her time, 'Cleopatra' is one of my all time favorite movies.
I also likes A Summer Place with Montgomery Clift
You mean 'A Place In The Sun', Jo??
Yes I think thats it. Clift was a factory worker and got his GF preggers and killed her in order to have Liz Taylor the CEO's daughter?
Yes, that's the one.
...There is a movie called A Summer Place, but that one has Sandra Dee & Troy Donahue on an island off the Maine coast. (Always liked Montgomery Clift, - powerful actor.)
Yes now I remember.
Montgomery Clift was related to Judith Clift the journalist. She used to appear on a news group program and talked about him once.
That was an actor's actor.. - very self-disciplined.
I had an awfull crush on him when I was a teenager
Liz was a good actress - not great. Nowhere close to the level of Betty Davis, Kathryn Hepburn, etc. But she represented the glamor of Hollywood to many.
Great insight Victor.
I feel like my childhood is disapearing.
Someone Twittered they had no idea she made movies, just thought she was a beautiful woman who hung out with Michael Jackson.
They must be 20 something.
Ugh. Clueless young person. She was very forceful in her support for causes, such as AIDS.
I have a lot of respect for celebs who support causes so relentlesly.
Me too. Sinatra was great for that.
I loved 'National Velvet'.
She did a great job in that one, put it on my download list.
"Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" I haven't seen many of her movies, but I thought she was superb in that one.
As per my question about a new movie based on House of Mirth.
Its not a movie but a novel.
Case closed
Okay, the baby video was cute.
Yes, Liz was definitely a beautiful woman. She will be well remembered.
Lady Ga Ga, on the other hand.....perhaps just a flash in the pan. I was just so grossed out when I heard she wore an outfit made of raw meat. Gag me!
Karen
Surprised she wasn't attacked by dogs or birds thinking it was walking suet
LOL! Was she outside?
Karen
IDK it says she arrived in her meat dress and walked the red carpet, so I was assuming that it was outside
Lady Ga Ga, Liberace, Elton John, - obviously all geniuses ahead of their time..
phft, I would so NOT put Lady Gaga in that category...she's in the freakshow category with Marilyn Manson and Boy George
Thanks, I forgot to add them also, ...freakshow I call 'Tiny Tim'. (lol)
oh yeah, him too...YIKES
I saw him in person, anything but 'tiny'! he was bigger than his bodyguards! lol!
lol
Yes, freak show category. Though I have to admit I like LGG's music. But she herself is disturbed.
Karen
Cold day in you know where before I did this !

Wow! That's pretty amazing! You'd never catch me doing that, either.
Karen
Last week I saw Mars Needs Moms. Very good!
Last night I watched a movie called Amos and Andrew with Samuel L. Jackson and Nicholas Cage. An older one, but quite good.
Karen
I watches Temple Grandin. Thats the last movie I saw.
My next 3 come this week.
