Thats Entertainment # 8

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I like FB for keeping in touch with family/friends and sharing pics, etc. I have no use for the games, horoscopes, silly crap, etc. No time!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I second that.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

third it!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I LOVE FB, more possiblility of getting spammed or virus when playing those games, so I just use it to keep in touch with old and current friends and relatives in other states

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Why can't you do that with email??

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Email is just not the same, Victor. I have several friends who prefer to do that, but most prefer FB. I used to have a MySpace account, but that pretty much went out of favor as soon as FB hit the scene.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

For sharing photos and staying in contact with family/friends, how is not the same???

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

More work with e-mail all you have to do is post on your wall and everyone can see it kinda hard to send an e-mail to 200 friends

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not really. One-time set-up for groups. I have a number of them. After that it's one email that goes to all. Replies can to to all. Very simple. And it's tailored. With FB, all your 'friends' see what your post, unless you set up separate accounts, correct? So I can post something on my FB wall that is really meant for only family, and everyone sees it.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm with Victor here. I have friends groups. The largest is Garden Photos.
Anyone who doesnt want to look at the garden can delete the mail.
I hate the games and junk so I have a 5 member friends list on FB.
I mostly want to snoop on my grandchildren there.Thare is also talk about things I dont want to know.

Westbrook, CT(Zone 6a)

Went to a high school production of "42nd Street" last night. Exceptional cast and choreography. Almost as good as Busby Berkely!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Loved his musical numbers. They used heftier women in those days.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like fun, Don. Some of these kids are really good.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Just came back from seeing Rango. Started off slow and then got real good! True story,
(loved the musicians! lol!)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Bought Megamind...great soundtrack!!!!!

I wouldn't be able to send all those pics I post by e-mail to that many people, you can send a note on FB to only certain people...to each his own, I guess

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Just watched the first disc of Dowton Abby. Spectacular scenery and interiors.
The story reminded me of "Upstairs Downstairs" but better.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How do you do that, Jen? Set up a group?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Jen, I agree with you on FB. Too many photos that are easier to share with friends on FB, and you can send links to them to your non-FB friends to view as well. Makes it very easy. And you can hide posts from people, and delete posts, etc.

Loved Megamind!

Yes, Rango was great! Seen it twice now with the special needs individuals I work with.

Never saw it. I liked the remake with Warren Beatty.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I never saw the original either, but did like the remake.

Yesterday I took a couple of individuals to see Paul. I really enjoyed it. They didn't care for the swearing and the guns, and there wasn't too much of either. Oh, well. Can't please everyone.

I want to see Limitless.

Dancing with the Stars started tonight. Have a few favs already and some can just so home now

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Never watch it. Isn't Sugar Ray Leonard on it this time?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yes he was real good, they compared him to Ben Vereen
Also Chris Jericho from the (what are they calling it this year???)WWE
and Hines Ward

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

First time I watched it and it was to see Hines Ward, he is just so cute. Always smiling.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I liked both versions of 'Heaven Can Wait', watched one w/my parents and one w/DH.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

ROTFL

Oh my gosh I'm still cracking up!!!
just saw a headline
"Lady GaGa's beauty secrets"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

REALLY???? Maybe it should be titled "what not to do beauty treatments" HAHAHAHA seriously??? hahahaha

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Her birthday is next week.

She is brutally ugly.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

She is scary ugly!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Probably one of the reasons she has to be so outrageous.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I simply cant believe C.Sheene is comming back to TV.
A smart money move by the network, and after all thats whats realllly important.
I only watched the reruns at 5 o'clock here waiting for the good stuff to begine.
It was marginally funny. Glad to see Jon Cryer is newly employed.

My hope is Scheenes career will tank like Tiger Woods's did.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I have to wonder about that article when the first sentence refers to the show as "Three and a Half Men"

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Hmmmmm I just breezed by that detail

A baby was on GMA and the mom put a video of him on youtube. They got talking and with 9 million hits the mom said they would take the money and put him through school.

So you can get paid by putting a video on youtube?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I saw that... maybe they give proceeds???.. he was pretty funny

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Nine million hits with national showing on CNN.
Dont count on retireing on what any one could make. Its a krapshoot as farv as anyone filming a news hit.

While I'm here.
Does anyone know about the new film ( independent I think) based on House of Mirth ?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Liz Taylor died

East Bridgewater, MA
