Little did I know! : - )

Same b.fly. This is one reason I use the railings instead of my cane. This b.fly perched on my finger, and I took these photos using one hand. I really like point and clicks, that don't require two hands to steady them, but then again, I really love the telephoto on my other camera. : - )

Maybe he liked my nail polish? Sure was a real treat to get to hold one. They were constantly fluttering around and several had landed on me, but of course I had the camera, and DH didn't.

I think he adopted me. : 0 )
And yes that is a water drop on my fingernail. : - )

I tried to pass the b.fly off to some kids but no one would adopt it. : - (
They did take photos of me holding it though. : - )

Sure is a beautifully colored b.fly. Almost jewel toned colors. : - )
Right after this photo, I carefully placed my new friend on a leaf, and it was a struggle, 'cause he didn't want to go, but DH was getting impatient, so I coaxed him onto the leaf.

This b.fly may not be as pretty as the last one, but he didn't mind me taking his photo. ; - )

Appears to be the same b.fly, but it left off drinking and flew over to these leaves. : - )

Aw, isn't he gorgeous! : - )

Well, I didn't expect to see this guy! : - )

I'm not sure what these are. It appears there is at least one red eared slider (bottom front turtle), which is a water turtle, and I'm not sure about the others. But they were next to the water even though I never saw them in it. : - )
I've always been fond of turtles.

I wonder if turtles eat b.flys? Sure don't see any near those turtles. LOL! : - )

I think this guy is making a break for the water. He can just squeeze by those rocks, if he stays next to the wall of the pit. : - )

Finally a clearer photo of what appears to be an impatien type flower. The b.flys loved this plant.

This is an odd photo. Above the railing is a tank with some weird critter in it. I think a long nosed turtle. I was still trying to get a good photo of the spots on the b.fly and it wasn't co-operating with me. : - |

Different b.fly, same railing. : - )

This looks like the previous b.fly, except for the blue shades, but maybe it's a trick of the light?

You are probably going to get sick of seeing these flowers. I don't know what they are, but I love the color, the way they make sprays, and the b.flys love them! : - )

How about a pleasing and colorful combination of color? : - )

DH is insisting I take another photo of all the b.fly's at the top of the shade screen. Can't make out much more than their silhouettes. : - |
Sure are a lot of them though! : - )

I already forgot the name of this plant, but here's a close up! : - )

DH is really getting impatient with me taking photos of the plants. He is a lot more understanding about the b.flys. : 0 )
But this is such a pretty yellow flower! : - )

I guess this is why they are called farms?

DH spotted this b.fly right next to the cocoon cage. : - )

We're about done touring the b.fly farm in Kuala Lumpur.
But I got to get one more macro of that pretty b.fly on the shade cloth! : - )

DH has to stop at the displays inside, on the way to the gift shop. LOL!
Arthropods are creepy looking and I'm glad they are dead and framed. Wouldn't want to wake up next to one! : - O

I'm not sure what all kinds of b.fly's these are, since I can't read the tiny print, but they sure are pretty. : - )

These guys aren't so creepy but they are bigger than the Walking Sticks we are used to. : - )
You really have to look close to see them since the terrarium they were in was fogged and scratched up.

A different angle shows off one of the Walking Sticks better. : - )

Don't know why this was included, but I took a couple of photos to show my boys. This guy was huge. Ours are maybe an inch long. Kinda hard to tell, but they are much smaller and a light orange in color. Kinda yuch! : - |

Speedy b.fly's? They have b.fly races? LOL! : - )

I really tried hard to get a clear photo of this, but it was really hard with all the people walking through. : - (
Still it should give you some idea of the kinds of b.fly's native to Malaysia. Although, I'm pretty sure there are others not pictured here. : - )

We'll be traveling to Phuket, Thailand, so I thought I'd give you a preview of some of the b.flies to be found there. : - )

Here's a better photo of the b.fly's in Thailand. : - )
You'll probably see this photo again. LOL!

These last photos are a memory aid to me. Since I have such a great forgettery, I use these photos to help me remember what is what, you all know I'm really lousy with names. These help a lot!
