The guy with the long skinny legs in the Kyle Petty cowboy hat, gold jacket, and boots on bending over in front of the car is my dad. Here it is after he put flames on it. No one took a picture of it with the flames before it got wrecked.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I had a friend back in La., who 'babied' a 70 Nova till his wife made him sell it for the $$$.
Crissy, now we see where you get that hot rod fever! You must tell us more of your dad's racing days.
Look at those tail lights!! What's the make of that car, Crissy?

Going to bed soon and I hope your dad, LK, will rest good tonight.

Night sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs ^_^

LK, those are so pretty!! I've never seen them before. They look like little roses with dahlia leaves. A good reason for me to go to any stores' garden section :D
Will you be planting them in a group, or line a path? Are the flowers scented?
Marion might still not be home, if not she'd be jumping on the froggie swap. But then, she also might be thinking she won't have the time to do so.

Hey there Sue. Daily cleaning of those condos, or just weekly?
You're gonna be busy, busy, busy once the growing season starts.

Cindy, have you started on your strawbales yet? They have to be 'treated' before you plant anything in them.
Did you get that pitt bull mix?

Judy, Steve keeping you busy? Giant armwraps to you girl, if things are not going according to plans!!
Miss you sistah!

(((((((((((((((Cookie))))))))))))))))) How are your Mum and Dad doing?
Wish we're not too far away that we could help you.

What will you be doing today Sis Kathy? I do hope it's not going to the store and looking for plants or bulbs!!
Those girls on your FB page, who are they?

Have a good, good day sistahs!

It's a 1956 Chevy T100 Utility Coupe (utility means it came out of the factory without a back seat.) It had a 350 engine with a Turbo 400 Tranny and I don't remember which rear end, quick click shifter, and glass packs! It would scream. He still has it, it's been without an engine, tranny, or rear end for probably 20 years now, the last time it was driven was when it had to be put on that trailer and brought back home. It was always kept in the garage until about 5 years ago, now it just sits out in his yard no engine, no tranny, and no rear end. Of course I hear all the time how he's going to do this and that with it, if he hasn't done anything with it by now he's not going to. I wish I had the money to do something with it, I would LOVE to fix it up again.

It makes me sick just thinking about it, he had it for 1968 to 1985 and it never got wrecked once, then it gets hit twice in one week, first time was the front, the second time was the other quarter panel and ever since then it throws rear ends. I'll have to show you later tonight, I don't have the pic on this computer.

Hello Ladies,

Jaye I will be starting the bales in a couple of weeks, (payday) and no I did not get a pup yet. I will though soon ^_^

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Afternoon all .........

Linda Kay those are Beautiful,I don't think I have ever seen them.

Sue ,you have more energy than me......LOL,I hate cleaning my own house !

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, did you try asking your dad for the car? That would be one show room beauty if you could finish it for yourself. Read that.. for you.
One part of a time, and I am certain that soon you'll have breathing room in your finances.

Cindy, good thing about your zone is you don't have to hurry!!! We chase the weather here! Before you know it, it will soon be fall :(
Awww.. borrow someone's pet to walk along with you!

Hey Synda! It was funny last night when I asked Kel to vote for you.
Told him that he has something in common with your DH. They both love women's pjs!!

Mickey Rooney just approached the congress to do something about elderly abuse.
I am proud to know so many of my sistahs here (in fact all) who are very good with their elders.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Kel just got home from his annual physical. Fees went up to $285!!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Eveything came back OK............right !

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

At that price, there better be a guarantee that he'll live healthy till 100!!!

Won't be getting the test results till a couple of days, I think.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I agree health care $$$$$$$$$ is unreal.I need to go to the dentist so bad,but there is no way we could ever afford it !!!!! I had one tooth done 6 years ago and it was $1200 and took me 4 years to pay off........

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wow, that is a lot for a Physical.
Synda, I am with you ont he dentist. I need a crown done, but have been putting it off too! Just seems like $875.00 for one crown is outrageous!
Jaye, I think I will put all those flowers in one big bucket, not for sure yet!
I have never seen them before either, but I knew they had to come home when I saw them!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I figured out my problem ! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says "for extra volume and body". I'm going to start using "Dawn" dish soap. It says "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove". ...................LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ahhh Synda, I'm on the phone with my sister in France and told her of your decision to use Dawn!! She's cracking up!!!
Lololol!!!

LK, you didn't take a sniff at those flowers yet? If they're scented I want one!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No scent Jaye! Sorry. Just pretty.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, have you called Marion? If you do, tell her she is missed, and were sending her lots of HUGS!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Ladies,

I got my baby ^_^ Meet Harlee Serena. She is a Pitt Bull/Australian Sheppard mix, she's 15 weeks old very well mannered too. Got her a toy she carries it around with her all the time. Now we need to figure out a seat on the motorcycle and get her a helmet and goggels, lol

Thumbnail by purpbutfly
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Awe, she is so sweet!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Synda!! That's what it says so it should work!

I don't have any place to put the car here, and I don't want it sitting outside, he can keep it until he actually does something with it, which he won't and I'll inherit it, but that's not for another 20 years or so, let's hope, and I'll have a shop to put it in long before then. Then I'll start fixing it if I can still find parts for it. It would almost be better to sell the shell and interior to a collector and buy a whole different one already fixed up.

Crissy, let us know when he decides to 'gift' you that car. We'll get a set of new wrenches for your new hobby ;) Cheaper than a sewing machine!!!

O Cindy.... get her a bandanna too!! Take pictures when you find the goggles. Harlee is just too cute and I'm sure you both will spoil her!
How much does she weigh now?

I'll try to call perhaps next week. She'll be more settled then, LK.
Really had a very light meal today. For lunch, it was pretzels then for supper, it was tofu vege soup.
Talk about a colon cleansing!! Lol!!!

Sue, if you're lurking, get you those fancy bath salts. After a hard day's work and the kids.. treat yourself to a good soaking ;)

Susan, will you be doing anything special for Bob?

Good night sistahs.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

No Jaye I don't know how much she weighs but she is heavy so maybe 10 lbs??? I can't take her out walking for 10 days, she just got her 3rd shot today but we have halter and leash ready to go ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!!

Wakey wakey.. tis post breakfast time.. how about brunch?
Lean turkey sandwiches on wheat toast! A glass of pomegranate juice for your health!

Kel is trying to get out of jury duty, which involves a man killing 4 members of his family, I think.
Normally a phone call or a letter would suffice, but due to the severity of this case, he had to make a personal appeal in front of a judge.
At this time, he can't afford to be sequestered for more than a day.

Nothing interesting going on here. Will be trying to sort out back issues of magazines. Need the space for current issues!!
Since when did subscriptions get so high!! Kel's art magazines can cost as much as $50 a year and they are bi-monthly issues! And I'm complaining of my food magazines?
Oh well, cancelled most subscriptions already since most of the quilt mags. repeat patterns.
Cheaper to buy a quilting program in the long run.

Prayers said for all and I wish some unexpected blessings appear today in your life!
Have a fantastic day everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the sandwhich Jaye! Magazines are getting so expensive!
Maybe you can donate some of your older ones to a Dr.'s office? That's what I do with ones like better homes and gardens, family circle, birds and blooms...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Never thought of that LK! That's a very good idea.

Check your dmail in a bit, LK.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning Sistah's All...

A rainy day here in Glenview. Fairly warm, tho...So I have been out between the rain drops picking up debris and junk laying around.
Come back in and play around with some materials.

Sistah, I was working for last couple of days again...Funny, with the little bits of brain work I come home exhausted. hahaha.
Julia and Anthony waiving Hello back to you. They think it's real neat of you to think of them, Thats my Sistah, always think of everyone.
They are on vacation this past week and have been enjoying the time off. Julia has been learning to cook and wears your Apron!!
Last night she made a steak dinner, it was delicious, Tonight she is preparing roast chicken, so I'll grab my camera and take a picture of her in the apron, got to say, she's adorable in it! Since they are on vacation, I am hitting the pillow at 9:30!! A record for me don'tchya know.
Hey thanks for telling me how to square off. Today I have it scheduled to sew...There are a bunch of little projects I will be working on. I figure work on each one for 1.5 hours and maybe I'll finish all by weekend. Oh boy that will be nice...I am also happy to say, Now that snow is gone, for most part, I am going to clear away all the wood from behind house and relocate it to behind the shed! As soon as I can I can My main project is to strip and stain the back of house to match the rest of the house, been waiting for Steve to do it, but there is no time in sight, I'll be waiting till we move in about 10 years, ROFLOL. if I want it done, got to do it myself! Oh the most important is to do it now before the bees come back.

OH MY GOSH, how exciting to report, I saw my first Robin this morning!!!! Did a little happy jig over it, Spring has sprung...
I've heard them and others have said they've seen them but I don't celebrate until I see them, Ohwah, today's the day, big happy smiles over here.

My, sure hope Kel won't have to be on jury duty. He is the main caregiver for Dad, so i sure hope the judge will understand that.
...Well I've decided just today that I should decorate my Bird house, so will start that soon. I want to get it out in the garden ASAP, had it put in the Screen house for winter...Also have decided to replace it to where my current living feeder is. Feeder will be moved to a different location!

Yippeee, the sun is coming out!

Linda Kay, So sorry to hear about your Dad falling. I hope the bruising is disappating with out any problems.
How Pretty are those plants!! Love the colors.

How adorable is Harlee Sarena!! Great name...Awe a bandana and goggles, too cute!! You'll have to take a picture for sure.

Cool Car Crissy!!

Yes, please Do tell Marion we love and miss her. Prayers and Good wishes her way. Big arm wraps too.

Armwraps and Good Happy thoughts for all.
Enjoy your day...Here comes the Sun, little darling...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

For the first time in days I am able to connect to the internet!!! Still south with my Mom but if she continues to hold her "own" I am going home on Monday. Will only stay long enough to take care of some personal business, file income taxes and return. All is contingent on her day to day progress.

She is on an eating binge at the moment--we have been cooking meals to take in for her to have mid afternoon. The cough is slowly getting worse and she is daily on doses of morphine due to the horrible sore that has developed on her hammer toe. Actually the latter is causing the most concern at the moment. Seriously infected and excrusiating pain with it--thus the morphine. Luckily it is only 2 drops every 6 hours so that is better than it could be.

I miss everyone and am very grateful for all the prayers and thoughts. Please keep them going for us.

Cookie, I am sending huge hugs and prayers as there isn't a day that goes by that I am not thinking of you and your parents. I wish I could be of more help but just know I am here if needed.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Marion, sure hope youget to go home, even for a few days! We miss you, sending prayers for you and Mom! Drive careful please!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Prayers coming down from New England as well - every day.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wonderful day today!!
Kel's been dismissed from JD!! The judge told all that if they're not exempted, it will be a 5 week trial!! 3 members of the family and a neighbour slained. Kel said there were 45 asking to be excused, and he's one of the lucky 10!!

Great to see you posting Marion. Be assured, my sistah, that prayers are being said for you and your mum daily. We can't let you down.

Sistah Judy.. how could I forget about Julia and Anthony? I had so much fun with them, and especially when they let me show my non existent skills at crossword!! Lol.
Not fair, you have Jacob who's turning into a good cook, and now you'll be having another one? Tell Anthony that he needs to be the family bartender!
Yes, spring is supposed to be here for us, but then the night temps have dropped again. I'm happy that the daffies are blooming and now I see a few buds on the forsythia.
Got new growth on the roses and I'm counting 4 clematis coming up!

Sistahs, another good news. Merpeg posted on the prayer thread that he scans were negative!!! How great is the Lord!!
This is what she posted:

Good news, everyone! My doctor just called and all of my scans are Negative for any other sites of cancer. This is especially good news because of that "invasive" diagnosis. This is definitely an answer to prayer and thank you so much for your prayers!

Hugs, Peg

P.S. I do have such a good doctor. He told me he went to radiology and sped up the readings, so I would not have to wait over the weekend

God does listen to prayers.

Ooops.. Crissy.. can you please add sistah Judy to the prayer list?
She needs some special ones ;)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Praise GOD for answered prayes for Peg! ^_^
Glad to hear that Kel does not have to go to jury! Sorry to hear about the family.
Jaye, you will have all kinds of blooms before you know it!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
