Well going to go and try to watch TV again.....this time in the bedroom.........I control that remote !!!!!!!!!! BBL~~~~
Sweet Interruptions 212
synda ROFLLL. in our house its me who is the crazy tv person. i will find two channels i can watch at the same time. When one is on commercial i flip to the other channel .... i know ... i know ..... i m so obnoxious !! i can't help it . i hate commercials !
My Dd said they may get snow in SF wow don't do that very much yikes i would hate to be there driving then streets ROFLLL they don't know how to drive in snow HAHAHHA... but it would entertain me to watch then try and do it.
my ferns came in the mail today. weeeeee
Good Lord Synda!!! You're too funny!!!
I have only one caveman here and you're putting up with 2!!!!
Yeah.. I feel that way sometimes to just hide that remote in Kel where the sun don't shine (Sorry Lord!).
Cindy, it would be great if you can get a companion dog for your walks. I can't believe the shelter wanted that much from you! Just the initial costs of meds and shots will be around that figure.
Wonderful if you're gonna be doing alternative gardening.
I've been strawbaling for 2 years except for last year. This year, I want to do it again. Eggplants, cherry tomatoes and maybe some hot chillis again.
It's been suggested to use either wheat or oats, and I had used oats.
There's this DGer, KentNC who's a strawbaling expert.
Here's the strawbale forum.
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/strawbale/all/
Good luck sistah!
Nooooo.. I don't want snow. Susan, you can keep it!!!
It went from 50 to 60 to 75 here then dropped to the 40s!!!!!!
40s should be heatwave to you, eh?
You're in 7 heaven now, Sue? Ferns for a funny sistah!!! You know, I've never tried growing ferns since I've moved here.
There are a lot of fiddlehead ferns growing wild along the ditch here. Wonder what part is edible! Do you know?
Anyway Sue, it's not only the SF'cans that don't know how to drive in snow.. most of the rednecks here too!!
I've been busy as I could be today. Got a lot of ??? and !!!!! playing through my head, and the only way for me to cope with these is to keep my head down in mopping, washing and sewing :D Forced Multitasking I'd say!
CSI is on. So I'll bid you all a goodnight, as I intend to consume not one but two glasses of Cabernet.
Bon nuit ma soeurs!!!
Morning Sue! Sorry to hear your still getting snow! This has been a really wierd winter for everyone!
Morning sistahs.
I do hope the snow ceases soon. Sue is itching to play in the garden and so does Cookie and Judy.
There are deers in the woods around here and I've seen a couple foraging by the ditch. So, it must be the fiddleheads they're after.
Ah well, I'll leave their delicacies alone.
If we were to tell our neighbours that deers have been spotted, they'd come running with their high powered rifles :(
What will you be doing today LK? You have a routine totally different than ours, since your dad depends on you. Yet, you managed to squeeze in hours to help with the charity project.
What a woman!
Don't laugh if I were to tell you this. My BFF that lives in Tn asked me to do a baby quilt for her only great niece who's born premature.
She wants pink.. but my choice of fabric. :(
Do I say no? Arrrrggghhh another Pepto Bismo project :(
Not to mention that other P quilt that my own niece wants. I may have to wear some tinted glasses so I don't see P!!
It's light cream cheese and wholewheat bagels everyone!!! Some warmed fat free milk, don't sound appetizing but a good way to start your day!
Oh Jaye, we all know you just love the color PINK!!! ^_^
Thanks for the breakfast! Bagels and cream cheese sounds good! Not for sure about the warm milk, unless you put chocolate in it! Trying to clean house, but so hard to do with Dad sitting in front of the tv 24/7! I will have to make him go outside for a bit, as soon as it warms up! it is only 46 right now, but supposed to be 81 this afternoon!
(Not seeing that 81)
LK, remember now, just roll your dad gently outside. You're not in the NASCAR!!
and NO, I don't like P. I DETEST that color!!
pepto pink quilts LOL funny funny.
could you do the pink as the secondary color ? or a trim color ? and maybe use lavender or cream ?
well busy day and its past my tea time .. pooh !

Ryan is at work, hope and pray the snow is done !!!!!!
Jaye mom is very lucky to have him, if she was alone she would be screwed. She wouldn't be able to live alone, which would put her with me, which wouldn't be good for either one of us!
LOL Synda, tell him you're going for the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest pot holder ever!
Shoot Sue, we watch 5 different channels at the same time!
Pink isn't my favorite color either. Blah!
I hope everyone made it through the storms yesterday! When the storm passed through here it was moving at 65mph and it went from being a moderate rainstorm, yellow on radar, to a red and black squall line with several tornadoes in a matter of seconds. My boss left to go pick up his wife about 5 blocks away right when we went into a tornado warning and he called me and told me "Don't you leave! It's going to miss downtown but it's going right over the way you go home." OK! I said!! Shoot, I was so freaked out I couldn't have driven if I wanted to. He brought his wife back up to the office and I ended up sitting and chatting with her until 5:30, it was way far gone by then LOL
BUT our power went out at 3:30 so Dave sat there in the dark waiting for me to come home with bacon cheddar cheeseburgers, the kid at the drive thru had a coupon for buy one get one free!! Woo Hoo!! SO we had a candlelight dinner, which I never get, and then we got bored and went to Hot Springs. Got home around 11:30 and the power had been on for 5 minutes. Perfect ending to a rough evening!
well tim is packing his bags for china. I really thought i wouldn't have a problem wtih him leaving. I usually get a bit sad but this time its different ? i think because the kids are expressing their feelings. We hope this is our last year doing this ? ! i know its hard on them. I think i m just more sad for them . So it may be a tough week for me. i may not be around much.
take care
my goodness crissy !!! we Ca girls don't know nothing about them tornados ! do we ? LOL
good night friends and sleep well
Oh Poo Sue. Take all the time you need, the 5 months will fly by and he'll be back home before you know it.
No we don't! LOL
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready.
Oh Sue, wish I was there to give you a big ole hug! It is always hard when our hubbies have to leave for any time like that!
WHere oh where did my 500 words post went last night?????
Oh no.. the Cyber Word Eater's at it again. Truly disheartening, especially me with short term memory loss.
Sue, it's inevitable that you should feel at a lost. Tim, consider yourself lucky that this woman truly loves you, and is not throwing a celebratory party after you leave!! (See a smile there Sue?)
Time will soon pass, as Crissy had said. With the kids, your garden and animal farm, you'll be too poop at night to even want to hug that pillow!!!
This chat box is here always when you feel like unloading Sue. It doesn't have to be a minute by minute description of your day, just a "I'm here" or "Bad day" and especially to share Savannah's and Austin's shenanigans. No.. that's impossible as they are good kids.
((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))
Crissy, what a night for you. At least it wasn't Ms. Cheerful left to accompany the boss' wife. Was that the first time you met her?
She would be grateful that her DH has intelligent workers.
With what your mum's going through, do you wish you're living closer to her?
LK, I'm off to a quilt show!! Yaaayyy... Kel just called and think his dad's okay for the day for us to leave more than 3 hours. Takes 1 hr. to get to Myrtle Beach.
Hopefull, I'll get some real life inspirations! While I'm there, I can look for some juvenile fabrics. At these quilt shows, there are always those travelling vendors that sell at great discounts.
Judy, Cookie.. hope all is well with you both!!
Love and hugs.. later 'gators!!
Take pictures Jaye. Enjoy your day out!
Waving Hi! ~~~! Where is everyone?
thank you Jaye. LOL yes they are good kids..... when they sleep LOLLL
quilt show sounds fun. have a great time. Tim loves that area for gold :)
well i spent the day in the GH doing all kinds of stuff. my mood did get better as we got some sun !! oh Lawd it felt gooooood.
well kids need food.
bbl
Hey Cookie, how ya doin?
Sue, glad to hear your feeling better.
Dad and I just got home from our Sunday drive. We saw lots of deer, goats, and came home with a really pretty red camellia.
We had a record high of 99 today!

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready, or hot chocolate! How about some scrambled eggs, bacon and wheat toast today!
that breakfast sounds delish....thanks LK Happy Birthday Chris!!
iz beez here. expecting severe weather today.
spent wed. and thurs. in the hospital, but am fine noe
put in 50 strawberry plants, 300 onion, garlic, shallots, lettuce, beets, peas, radishes, and broccoli in this weekend. also blackberrys, lilac, roses, honeysuckle
Happy Birthday Chris!! May this be a day full of happy memories!
Morning everyone. It's not an eventful Sunday yesterday, but after church service, all I wanted to do was sleep. Don't know why. Can't stay awake in the afternoon, and Kel had to wake me up for the Amazing Race, and back to sleep again.
No coughs, no sneezes, no fever, body wasn't feeling tired, if this happens again this week, I know I should be calling the doctor.
The quilt show was a disappointment when it comes to vendors. There are 2 quilt shows every here in MB. One is put out by the museum and the other by an independant quilt society.
The museum's been having problems drawing visitors, and this year, they tried the same format by the quilt society, so, I gave it another shot. Oh well, you can safely say, that I saved some $$$.
LK, I can't believe that you're having 90s weather!!! What?? From winter straight into summer?
It was in the high 70s for the weekend and now, it's in the high 60s.
Want to get the beds cleared and the tropicals out, but old church sisters kept saying, not till after Easter!!
We have daffodils nodding their little heads already!!! But the forsythias are not blooming and neither are the magnolia jane trees :(
Confusing signals yah?
((((((((Cookie)))))))) Sorry it has been a quiet day here for you!!
Is your dad still planning a garden? Will he be growing veges or just some flowers in front of the house?
Judy, hope all is well at home for you sistah. Sewing anything new? Have you tried paper piecing?
Say hi to Julia and Anthony for me.
Sue, it's always good to have some Vitamin Sunshine!! Face to the sun will chase those blues away. I will have to do so myself.
Oh Sis.. you're overdoing it you think? Sis, did you get some help with the planting?
Why are you in the hospital? Are you okay now? Love you sis!
Crissy, have a good week at work.
Thunder, Judy.. LK.. I got pics of quilts to post, but I have to resize them here!
Waiving Hello,
Thank you Sistah Jaye for thinking about us.
We are hanging in there! Situation continues, Just have to get past this next couple of weeks.
Can't wait to see your quilts!! Well, I finally figured out the Keliedescope (can't spell today) block! I am attempting one for the SOH spring quilt. LOL, created my own 45 degree triangle, duh, now all i have to figure is how to corner them off to make it a 12.5 block.
giggle giggle that should take the rest of the month...
I am finally over what ever I had, so now making up for lots of work missed.
Had to take Breenie to docs on Wednesday- grr, another day missed of school. But couldn't chance her aching back and sides. Turned out it was just stained muscles from coughing-Thank Goodness. Thursday went to Museum of Science and industry with Jakes Chemistry class, whew a ton of walking! Then Friday went to work with DH, spent the entire day painting, and help clean up...Tale end of a humungous project week...Worked on paper all weekend, Yikes, i need a day off, lol.
How is Kel feeling, is he back to good health? I sure hope so.
(sending you d-mail Jaye)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cris!! Hope your day is filled with lots of love and happiness.
OH, Crissy, So glad you stayed at the office during that tornado...Was so glad to see your boss called you in the nick of time!
I have been trying to read the threads each day but things get into fast track, that i can't always make a post, or by time I can, it's too late and i am overtired...
But Sistah's all I do think and keep you all in daily thoughts and prayers.
Hopefully this week will be nice and quiet so I can come play, I sure miss you.
Sue,Three cheers for getting to play in Greenhouse!! Yay, nothing like a kiss from the Sun...Know you were trying to decide where to place things, have you made some strides in that? Sure hope so, pretty soon you'll be able to share pictures, can't wait to see.
Can't believe the time, got to scoot...
Hope you all are having a Grand day, enjoying the sun and oh such pretty weather for some of you...
Yikes, we had freezing rain last night, had to scrape for a good 20 minutes this morning.
Thank you Linda Kay for Breakfast, yummy, i am going to help myself to another cup of coffee!
Oops, really have to scoot now, see you at a break.
Armwraps to All
i'm ok sis. i w2as having chest pains.
Morning everyone! Kathy, sorry to hear you went to the hospital, but glad to hear all is well! Now please don't over do it outside! Geesh, that is a lot of planting!
Will be waiting on the quilt pics Jaye!
Hello Judy! Time for you to slow down too!
Kathy glad your feeling ok.
wow that is a lot of garlic and onions ! i still have 2.5 more months until we can start planting out. I did my garlic last fall. Sure hope i get a good crop . most of last years i got bugs . so i had to mash it all and roast it. pick out the bugs ect..
not much here
had lots of storms come through last night.
savannah and lucy slept with me LOL austin didn't hear a peep. ?
♫♪Happy Birthday, Chris ♪♫
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!!!!
LOL Judy!!! You haven't seen me in a tornadic situation, I am all over that radio, I pace too. I'm like The Weather Nazi! I heard the alert on the radio station and turned up the volume so the whole office could hear it, my boss heard it and said, "I have to go get Marilou!" I said, "What??? Are you nuts?????" He left, then called me and told me to not leave because it was really bad. I wanted to say, "Nooooo kidding!" I hadn't planned on going anywhere until after that squall line passed but it was nice that he called me and gave me specific instructions to not leave.
I hope everyone was safe last night from the storms. I was up all night. We started out with a really good tornado threat that was supposed to happen here around 3am last night, but at 11pm there was an earthquake measuring 4.7! Since Arkansas doesn't really get earthquakes and since I'm from CA and have been in many, I decided to stay up and listen to what the callers who were calling into one of the tv stations had to say, some of them had me cracking up! Little did I know that we were going to be slammed today at work, and I was going to have computer problems all day, and when I got one problem fixed and onto doing some work I got interrupted GGRRRR very frustrating but Oh Well! Tomorrow will be a better day! Oh! We ended up getting a regular ole thunderstorm with regular ole winds at 2:30am and that was it, thank the Lord!
Please everyone in the storms, be careful! I saw the news tonight, and so many places are having tornado's and or flooding. From Ohio, Tn, Arkansas, Kentucky...

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
Some of you may know merpeg, she is asking for prayers please?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1161425/
Morning sistahs!
Thanks LK. Crissy, please add Pegi to the prayer list. This way, I won't forget to include her. ^_^
I find cancer's on the rise in this county, must be the tobacco fields where they'd sprayed a dangerous chemical to keep the addiction to tobacco. :( You don't have to be a smoker in this part of the county.
Be dangerous if you have well water, which we do.
Each time we're in church, prayer requests always include someone new having this C disease. But God is the great healer and 90% beat that word.
Sistah Judy, did you forget the d-mail? Waiting on a picture of that kaleidoscope, or one block wonder you're doing. Just make a square that can cover the corner and sew from corner to corner and cut off the unwanted part. Then square it off. I didn't sign up for the SOH quilt donation. Bad me, eh?
Are you getting paid for helping Steve? Tell him to raise your allowance for more fabrics!!
Good to know that you're completely over the crud. Of course, you must play more with us now.
Whew.. what did the doctors say about that chest pain Sistah Kathy? Is it indigestion or from straining your chest muscle? You're a stubborn one you know, and Cookie will agree with me here.
Sistah, you and I are not getting any younger and your health isn't at #1 neither, what do I have to do to make it clear to you not to push yourself too hard?
Guess I have to find that cyber stick :D
Has Tim left, Sue? How long is the flight to China? To Singapore it's an 19 hr. flight, from New York. Adding stopovers along the way, it can take up to more than a day!
I can never do a straight flight without crashing by the time I reach Singapore.
Crissy, you never thought you'd be living in tornado country! Well at least you do have a shelter in case. Hope you never have to use it. Do you stock it up with survival supplies?
It was terrible weather last night and I was posting some pics on another site and all of a sudden my 'net went kaput!!
Hate it, hate it!! But at least we have power.
It's beautiful today, but I can't play outside as the grounds soaked!
Oh well, another day staying indoors. Got to look for kiddy appropriate fabrics in my stash and perhaps start cutting.
Even though the current sewing swap I join is the pot holder, but having committed myself to another kiddy quilt is enough to keep the sewing machine busy.
me stoburn? never. yes it was a muscle and i am finer. just took the kids to the vet for thier rabie shots
((((((((((((Kathy)))))))))))) You never lose your humor.. that's the good thing about you!! Oh.. you mean your furry babies!! Lolol.. I thought that's your daughter and grandson!!!
Crissy!! Crissy!! They just announced a rare earthquake in Arkansas!!!!
You okay??? Kel said you brought it along with you from Ca.!
Jaye, we saw those terrible storms all over the mid east section of the country. Glad to hear you still have power!
Kathy, glad to hear it was just a strained muscle, but I know those can h urt like the dickens! Please don't over so it?
Beautiful quilt Jaye!
There is a quilt show in a town about 70 miles fromhere this week-end. I may just take a drive and stop in for a bit. it will be my first ever quilt show!
LK, I posted more on you know where and also sent you a cmail!
You got to catch one of those shows. I would highly recommend the Houston International Quilt Festival. I went to one in the mid 80s and it was awesome then! Normally it will be around October.
