Well if thats the case WC, i've got a good head start. Worked for the Chinese for 6 years, they taught me how to count and swear! LOL

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Hey! That's pretty good!! I read the fortune cookies that tell you how to pronounce the words!
I have to get some more of those cookies.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Because you live in S. China, Celeste? ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL Victor!

As we all know the price of fuel is heading upwards. Some saw what I posted about having the house filled up and it was 2.92 a gal and then the garages 3.45 on the same day, same delivery and same driver. It was because we did not use the minimum to get the price break.

I am pretty sure that its against the law in most states for another company to come in and fill up a propane tank that is not theirs. What we found out is that if you purchase your own cylinder tank you can take it to http://www.airgas.com/ I dont know if they are everywhere but I am sure in most of NE. They are a welding supply gases etc.

We were told that they were about 1/2 price of the propane companies. You have to bring the tank in and they fill it. You bring it back home and screw it on.

We are getting a 100 lb tank. :-)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

We've been doing that for over 5 years Sherrie. We have a 100 gal., a 50 gall. and several 20 gal.
Brian and one specific Co. got into a tiff about when THEY(the Co.) think you should run out of gas and then charge you extra to come out and fill it if it's not on your time schedule that THEY made.

using a propane co. or other co now?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nope, still fill our own at tanks at Cylinder/Regulator Shop in Augusta.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

we're getting a refund this year. Having a kid in college helped.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Finally, after over two years of fighting, we start to find out exactly who got what from the Federal Reserve during the crisis. Foreign banks got more than American banks - hundreds of billions!! This includes a Libyan-owned bank which got 73 loans. Although we know of many Americans who had no business ever getting mortgages, there are many hard-working ones who, through bad timing, got overwhelmed and lost their homes. Where was the Fed for them??? What a disgrace.

I am sure this was said - General Electric paid 0.000 in taxes.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I posted that last week. They also got a secret loan from the Fed.

What would happen if WE rebelled against Greed and Corruption like so many countries are doing now?

The politicians would tuck their tails between there leg, run and hide

Another thing we were talking about with the nuke reactors in Japan is capping them. Last week here at home I said - They should be capped and capped now. Well last night on the news they are going to get capped. The US is sending equipment. One DR. was talking about it and was asked if "we" the US should be concerened.

He said not right as of now. No matter how the situation get talked about

ITS NOT GOOD

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Gas now $3.87/ gallon for reg. here.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

I find myself picking up items at the supermarket and then putting them back down again. It's not that I can't afford them, it's just that the prices for some things have gotten ridiculous! I refuse to pay some of those prices, especially if it's not a necessary item..
I buy less and they raise the prices on everything to make up the difference, it's like a cat and mouse game..

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Went up again since this morning, now at $3.95/ gal.,
(12¢ hike in 24hrs.), and they're all going up at the same time.

Received an e-mail from Target about the e-mail addresses, letting us know they may or may not have gotten them so not to open any weird messages....thought to myself "oh, like this one???"

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I got that one too.

Got one from Homedepot and it was never mentioned on the news.

Come to think about it last week Watchovia sent me an email asking me to sign into my measley account and do an update. I just hit delete.
