Hoping you get to thaw out again soon.
Watch for the TinChicken
it will be back soon (i think?)
Yes its been a few hours and I can seee a dimple on the snow surface where the comb pops thru.
Was amazed to see how many green spots are showing on some folk's yards......still waiting here!
It's useless to hope for green here. It will be a week after Mondays high of 50* before there is as much green as I want to see.
Here, TinChick--TinChick.....
Please send the Spring Season, we are all waiting !!!
I see the tip of the comb!
Poor chick covered again
Feb 27th we had snow last night. I'll look to see how much when its daylight.
We are all waiting for.....................full exposure.
o k later today I'm sure
Well, I guess poor chick has to face reality. It is still Feb. I woke up to snow here too. Patti
Weather Channel lied....said we would get flurries to an inch....woke up to 3"! Getting mighty tired of snow!
between 4 & 5" here. really maddening.
Reminds me of my weight...up, down,up,down...maybe I should of started a thread? LOL
tee hee
Nice watching the chicken appear! Pixie, your weight doesn't go very far "up"! Happy to say I've not gained back any that I lost with the flu.......
I have had a nasty cough for a week. Ithought I was out of the woods until it came back in sinuses and ears itching. Moved up the resp. tract.
Time for a prescrip? Just sent out a birthday card to Laurie.....wish I lived closer!
Gosh, we've all had just about everything!
I'm going to sleep until spring !!!
What a difference two days makes!
No snow !!!
Rain all day yesterday. Magic every time.
WOW
The winter that won't end........our snow total is now # 3 on the all time list for CT, & I'm sure we'll be #2 before March ends!
It's just not a contest any of us want to win.
Pirl was that after the fresh 10" we got on friday? We got a little more but some rain on top...maybe we lost an inch!! LOL
The photo was taken on Saturday, the day after the 10" but the prediction was just for 3" in South Portland. Sunday morning, when we actually left, it was a mix of snow and rain, which made driving horrific for the first two hours. By CT we felt as though we had driven from winter into spring. There were no signs of snow, even on parked cars, all along 395. By New London the daffodils were in bud and 5" tall.
I took this from a Portland restaurant on Saturday night and you can see the city of Portland didn't get nearly the snow that South Portland got.
Daffs?? Are you kidding?
I'm headed to Portland tonight....going out to eat at Bugger-Boo Creek. DGD's B-Day was yesterday, she turned 4 so we going down to see her and out to eat with the "talking animals". LOL
LOL
After this winter most of us will be talking to animals, Pixie!
Have fun!
The carpenters are in the midst of ripping out the old decking steps as I type.
The 5" from the other day recovered much. Even the day of rain will not melt it all. knee high around here still.
You did get a lot more snow than we did.
I talk to my animals now
:)
Me, too.....we trash the squirrels in the neighborhood :)
