Thinking the same thing!
Kobwebz: Her website is gone. Its OK. Just wondering.
Wow that is some painting
Victor must be suffering rapid heartbeat right now.
ummm, wondering if admin is going to delete that one
Its a copy of a masterpiece.Renaissance I believe.
She's a very talented girl.....
kobwebz, terrific artwork, you look young enough to be a sister to your daughter!
Awe thanks, My oldest daughter Jessie (Ph.D. Post Doctoral Fellow at the Montreal Neurological Institute/Dept. of biology McGill University) has something I think is called Piccassa and she took the picture of Dave and me. I am sure it was touched up. Believe me, I have the wrinkles. I don't mind, as I have been so blessed in life with my daughters. I look in the mirror and see my Mother.
I look in the mirror & see my grandma!
I tried and the mirror cracked!
Only mirror left in the house is in the bathroom, and I prefer to remember how I looked 25 years ago....who needs reality when my imagination "tastes" better?
(*wink*)
I look like my father,a big disapointment needless to say.
Is it the jowls around the chin?
That's my non-mirror moment (gee, thanks dad, for that particular genetic curse!).
Ohh yes the jowels. Everything went south about 10 years ago.
I'm too busy doing other things to dewll on what cant change. My mother never wore make up or did anything with her face except wash it and she was stunning.
Me with my mon 2001
I had no idea I scowled like that. It was a few months before she died and my dad had died 4 months earlier. My sister and I took turns visiting 2 hour drive.

Yep, my personal history seems to "mirror" yours, to some extent.
Rather than sad regrets of the past, I prefer to look at upcoming projects and happy moments, and leave the dismal images in the "dust bin of history."
I will play the hand fate delt me.
No plastic surgery either.

Cool !!!
I sometimes think about imperfect past decisions, but since I can't do anything about the past, I try to make the future better.
Oh Man! Funny how we are all holding our breath waiting to see what Victor will have to say! Don't worry, Kob, you CANNOT offend Victor, and that's why we are dying to hear his reaction! You'll see at some point. Cats have got his tongue right now in hopes of saving his life. Actually, he is in prison and may not be allowed his hour of computer access yet tonight. Love your puppy, Kob!! And your daughter has talent!!

I'm thunderstruck, gobsmacked and stricken
To see the nude emerging chicken.
Fie on those who hide their snickers
When spotting pullets without knickers.
Shame the weather, ever warming,
Baring fowl, most foul, alarming.
Pray for heavy, cloaking snows
Until she puts on underclothes.

You're an excellent poet...You haven't been able to garden outdoors, so you redirected your creative energies; well done!
Don that was a breath of fresh air!
Well done, Don. I always enjoy your poetry.
Too funny, Louise.
I ditto everyone's rave reviews of your daughter's passion, Kob. Please let her know that her art is appreciated here.
O M G Don. I am so honored to be the inspiration for so much amusement.
I will stop pix when the table is clear.
Just heard Titmouse,
Just got back from HD.Rebar run. A gal cant have too much rebar.
Jo, you're a panic! Don, great poem...
Oh, a poet, that was so funny and clever, thanks for sharing. Where did you get the tin chicken? I want one.

I live with DD and SIL. Its hers. She loves chicken anything.
Great poem, Don. Don't need more snow, however. We still have more than pictured there. DH still chipping heavy ice off walkway & driveway. As the driveway is gravel, the snow is packed down when plowed & turns to ice. I think that the snow is knne deep on the way to the bird feeder instead of mid-thigh.
That pacled ice is next to our mailbox. I take the car 100 feet to get the mail so I have something to hang onto in the wind.
This IS the worst time of year.
Don, I pronounce you Poet Laureate of the NE Forum! I used to write a lot of poetry, but haven't been visited by the Muse lately.....I think I know where she's hiding out!! Great job!
Hi Jan. How are you doing these days?
Doing very well, actually, Louise. Thanks for asking. I'm having fun sorting through mom's drawers and pictures. I found a diamond-studded gold tooth- root still attached. The lady that owned the farm had a dentist make a house call to pull her tooth. As he was leaving with the tooth, my mom, the house manager held out her hand and told him it didn't leave the house. After the woman died, my mom got to keep it.
The tin chicken would be uncovered here. Today we hit 63. I was outside in shirt sleeves even though I have a sore throat. Silly of me, but hey, it was 63!!!
