Bought a nice Brother labeler last year and still have not opened it.
What will burn up your credit card 2011 #3
One works fine for our iris labels. Only a couple have been off in the last 6 yrs.
I have the labeler and metal stakes too, but I find it too hard to do spring and fall cleanup without losing half of them. I usually find them later in a pile of leaves or the following season, far removed from their original location. Sometimes I have no idea where it came from.
Yes, I cannot put stakes in the ground. My cutters who do the fall cleanup would decimate them. I prefer the hanging tags for the woody plants.
I'd be lost without the P Touch labeler and stakes. Pam has an ongoing co-op for them, Bill. Eon. I love the colored ones.
yes i know polly - the labler was a down payment - 5 cartridges - and 750 stakes i mailed pam about - thsi is a big as a jm order!
harper i was thinking about the hassle raking up - still hard to remember everything here now - even i want to know:)
I've had them knocked over and moved around by the deer as well.
I'm planning to melt my credit card purchasing a tiller! I'm reasonably fit but the back just ain't what it used to be. :)
The weight of the snow often crushes them too. Even still, I like the looks so I keep using them :). Good idea to hang them on the woody plants.

Gives new meaning to 'How's it hanging?' ^_^
We're on sand, so I can easily push them down almost to the label part. I don't lose any, and they are still readable from a standing position.
Yankee Cat - think containers with all those veggie seeds. I use 5 gallon buckets for toms and squash.
Bill, I'd like all your info on your label maker/stake order (company, catalog, etc.) I've been trying to figure out how to id my plants with something that looks neat and weathers well. Thanks
I am getting ready to do some damage on the easy to grow bulbs website
I need something to help me remember what I've planted.....plastic falls apart, the copper tags I used are illegible....Boojum has everything labeled beautifully, I will try harder....
Boojum?
ok here is my ETGB damage... and ::::clears throat:::: if you look at the photo of Robert Kemp Cana... it's mine... they gave me a $25.00 credit for use of my photo on the website

NICE!
We use the Brother's labeler (not hand held) tapes on metal markers.
Wow! Nice shot.
thanks!!!!...
I have a handheld and a larger brother now... the new big one I can hook to the computer and pull labels that I use every year.. and use the metal eon markers too... down side is.. I trip over them now and then.. have to try and remember to stick them down all the way
And you can cut up your leg pretty good tripping over them, Allison. I have the one I hook up to the computer, also.
doesn't matter if I keep it in my head not to step on them.. I still do... weeding frenzy will do that to me... the one day I caught my shoe lace... was like a sling shot throwing that sucker.. LOL
:)
Mine hooks to the computer too - when I finally use it!
love the labels Victor.. can't beat em
Wowzer, Allison! What a great collection!! Great colors!
thanks... I can't wait!!!
Great photo of the canna! Frank, Boojum is Kathy who lives along the Mohawk Trail in MA.....she has gorgeous gardens!
At my age one starts to lose memory. I had contacted her back in August inre an orchid I was searching for (and never found). Se la vive.
Boojum is only on the other channel now. She has the orchidcubit there. She sure does have gorgeous gardens. She did her iris thread over there this year. Amazing gardens.
The whole setting is just beautiful, Polly......
I miss having Kathy here on DG!
You can always come join us. There's room in this universe for both sites.
Thanks, Polly. I just never seem to get over there. I guess I'm just a one-site gal. lol
Nothing wrong with that, Louise. Especially during gardening time. These sites can take up a lot of our hours. And since you garden year round.....
That's how I feel.....in the summer it's very hard to find time!
So where on cubits is everyone hangin' out? I couldn't find a "northeast gardening" there.
We really can't discuss it on here or we're going to get our hands slapped by admin.
Just like kindergarten! Logged onto Fieldstone Gardens today & bought Campanula 'Plum Wine', Platycodon "Astra White', Salvia 'Amethyst', & Thalictrum 'Thundercloud'. I can't seem to get a good plan for one of my beds, hopefully these will help.....
Nice choices. Love that salvia
Fieldstone Gardens in Maine? Love it there, but of course it's 10-15 minutes from my house.
