Wow, that doesn't seem possible! My yard is still completely buried by 12-18", except for the trenches we dug for Mickey.
What plants will be alive after all this snow melts?
same here noreaster - joann i did a double take - if those were from THIS year i would be really jealous
Last year but nearly finished blooming.
wha: I trimmed the JM and followed your suggestions. Its tough when just looking at bare branches.I will send comparison pix in May or june.
interested to see what it looks like with bare branches now joann - and if you have one from before.
can't get at mine yet still way too much white stuff.
We are due to have snow tomorrow. It makes a cleaner background and I have a snow pic of the JM that you looked at and gave me suggestions as to where to prune.I'll take a pic then.
The wind is awful today. I'm glad I got a few jobs done brfore it started. 20-30 mph.
I "Plantskyded" all the mole-vole trails to lilies.

My Crimson Queen had a major branch snapped......I am really .........(very polite) MAD!!

:(
Hope my hydrangeas will hold up like yours! Beautiful photo!!
Awww, thanks, took it when I was sleepwalking.. lol! - (jk)
- I'm sure yours' will be fine, spring's treasures may even surprise you! ☺
sorry to hear that weeze!
Not good! Deer were across the road yesterday, but stayed away from my yard....one of my JMs is popping up out of the snow....glad the deer didn't go for it......
The tops of my hydrangeas are gone.
Deer!
yep!
i think hydrangeas are a delicacy for them!
Just the tips of the Lemon Wave.Gourmet deer
Lol
Just the tips....that is the buds! Shot gun time. Patti
Make friends with bow hunters, extend the season!
Yea, bow hunters. Quiet, efficient.
I visited a home in Weymouth today where a herd of deer chewed everything below 7 feet of height. He said a dozen wandered through.

If I only had so few! Deer fence is our only salvation and planting a few things they generally leave alone in the unfenced part of the property. But nothing is ever totally safe when they are hungry. I grew up shooting a bow, but only at a target. Not sure I could plug a Bambi. Patti
I've shot a bow and several different types of firearms, I'd never shoot a deer nor would I . Especially over a plant! lol!
- Besides, I prefer beef! ☺
Patti - come on down!
I've been here 4 years and this is the first winter they have eaten tops od emerging daylilies, the hydrangea andmy heucheras. I think food is scarece for them and the really cold temps make them use up energy faster.
Not that I care.
i could plug a deer right now even a little bambi - noticed yesterday that they had nipped off every bud from a wolf's eye dogwood - it had been loaded with flower buds for the first time - (&*(^%(^%%$%$@$#@#!!!!!
Are we all ready for pet coyotes yet?
NO Coyotes. I would never be able to let my cats out.
Has anyone posting ever tried coyote urine? Must take some coaxing!
i use it in the veggy garden and where i plant sunflowers - it does keep the chippies away
Do you buy it online or locally? If locally, where?
