What plants will be alive after all this snow melts?

Maine, United States(Zone 5b)

Wha, apparently a lot of people around here had vole problems last year...evidently they have years where the populations explode...conditions just right or something. Man, I'm an animal lover but I'd stomp them myself given the chance. They are just too destructive! My Boston terrier is useless as a rodent hunter, unfortunately.

Victor, I hope the damage isnt too bad....and that there isn't more to be revealed. What an awful winter!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I'm teaching my kitten to go out with a halter and leash, hoping a side benefit will be keeping the chippies at bay. They don't eat roots that I know of, but they burrow through the gardens. My snow mountain finally melted and I found a mangled JM. This one has no chance of survival. It was the front end loaders that took it out. Dang!

South Hamilton, MA

One of our sweet ferns has appeared ok. the other is still under a snowpile. DH was able to free some branches which were bent with tops stuck in the ice, result of our Jan 20" snow. We have chipmunk holes, but no moles to make runs for other rodents to follow. Large branches still in the backyard, won't move them until more snow disappears.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

One of mine is sideways now. Have to stake it.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

weeze sprry to h ear about the jm - hope it is able to surprise you - i would be after the front end loader company!

Thomaston, CT

The damage is disheartening.....I'm sorry for all of you.....and I'm afraid to see what's gone here......

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So sorry guys! I can't see yet...and don't think I want to :(
