Weeze, that little Bugsy is just the cutest!!
How horrid about the dog in the block of ice! Don't see how people can do things like that.
Celeste, nice pic of Jade.
Nice pics of the cats, Memory, Jumper and Weeze.
I know a woman in Plymouth who walks her cat. She's a fixture in downtown Plymouth and the waterfront. Her name is Pam. This past year I saw her mostly with the cat in a stroller. Maybe cause it was just so darn hot, or maybe the cat is getting old.

Boy great looking pets here in the Northeast for sure!♥
Thanks, Bugs is a cutie, but those two things on the top of his head that most people refer to as ears are actually horns. He's a little devil.
Karen, Patches seems completely content with the snow. Funny how dogs take it all in stride, of course, they don't have to do the shoveling!
Weeze... that photo is too funny... Patches is so sweet Karen
Nice photos, Karen! Patches seems to be liking the snow okay!
Thanks, you guys. Patches loves playing in the snow. I didn't catch any shots of her playing today, but I have in the past. She's so funny!

She's got a lovely personality, too.....she's a sweetie, Karen. I did not open Victor's disturbing post, but I did read one today in the paper.....a woman from CT sent to Utah for a hairless kitten.....the cargo hold was supposed to be climate controlled, but when the kitten arrived at Bradley, it was too late! I don't know why she would want a hairless cat in CT. Our wolfie was shipped into Bradley on a wicked hot July day.....she came in much earlier than what they told us, but the person in charge had taken her out of her crate & given her water, thankfully!
Thank goodness for people who care!
Who'd want a hairless cat to begin with? Man those things are UGLY!!!
Heard lots of horror stories about transporting animal disasters...I think it was these guys that had a heartbreaking story about that.

There is an airline now that ONLY flies animals. They fly inside the plane - they ARE the passengers. I would never ship an animal in the cargo hold. Trying to figure out how I am going to get my clowder to California should the time come that I have to do that. Thinking the best thing to do would be to rent a small motor home and drive, drive, drive - with earplugs.
Does Bugsy have gold eyes?
I think there are also transportation pet companies that drive too. How about the train?
There are but they load trailers with crates and cages stacked on top of each other. There is a danger of sickness going through the whole trailer. There was a recent outbreak of Parvo virus in CT from a dog trailer delivery.
Ewww, nasty
Do the pets go through TSA on that airline?? Cat scan? Pet down? Separate line for spayed and neutered since they have less 'junk'??
hee hee
That was really funny, Victor! One of your best! :)
I, too, could never put a pet in the cargo area. One of the reasons we don't have dogs over 22 pounds is that we want to make sure if we had to fly for an emergency situation that our dogs could fly in the cabin with us. Molly was always pushing the 22 pound limit, but she did just fine under out seat if we flew only direct flights. We always thought it would be fun to take the girls on a train trip, across Canada, but I doubt they'd be allowed on the train, and I also wonder how you do the potty deal with them. Probably not a good idea! lol
Thanks, Louise. Hope it's not all downhill from here!
My son's dog came from Oregon in a van......the women who drove it picked up a group on the west coast bound for NE, then did the reverse......Ollie looked happy & healthy.
Memory, his eyes are a dark gold with a hint of green or brown depending on the light.
I had three pups fly to the US with me from Chile. I had signs all over the crate to give them water, but I don't think that happened. They all made the trip fine, but I think some luck was involved.
Were the signs in Spanish??
French
Et alors??
les chiots ont soif
Wow, Weeze. I'll bet you were a wreck before you saw they were okay! That is a really long trip. So glad it turned out well. Sometimes you just have no choice!
Re: flying with pets - I was wondering if you bought them seats - if they could go inside the cabin in a larger crate that could be fastened into the seat belt?
if they are small enough... like mine.. you can put them under your seat as a carry on... they would have to deal with a puppy pad on the inside of the crate... they acutally sell travel kits with water and food bowls that clip on to the crate

oh the one thing I found out (if we needed to ship a puppy) is certain airlines have climate controlled cargo areas... and some don't
Send them FedEx!!
Yowmee is so pretty....how could anyone let him go?
I think it could be the humping everything that isn't moving all the time! He is really sweet.
He can run for office!
Another good one, Victor! That newly refurbished knee must be responsible for your tempo these days!!!
Yowmee looks like a lovely kitty, Memory! I don't know of any airline that will allow putting a crate in the seat. They always required Molly to be under the seat. We would open the zipper in the end of her carrier so she could see us. I have no idea how our girls would do on a plane. I have my doubts they'd be as quiet and still as Molly. She was a saint!
There is an organization of truck drivers that drives adopted pets to their new homes. The pet rides up front in the cab with the driver. Really nice way for a dog to travel. Don't know if they would do it for people who are moving and can't drive to their destination.
I would love to have a hairless cat. I think they're so neat. I also love the Cornish Rex and Devon Rex cats, the ones with the short, curly coats.
Yowmee is very pretty.
Karen
Anyone know what kind of cat this is? What a face!
