Snow starts here tomorrow noontime and ends by Wed. night they say we are looking at a Nor'Easter and will get approx. 15 - 18".
Today's Weather in your Garden - 87
18° here with a wind from the NNW at 8 mph, giving us a windchill of 9°. Humidity up slightly to 65% and we have clear skies overhead on this Monday morning!
Going up to 27° today with increasing clouds as the day progresses. Snow expected to start after midnight here, (~ 2am), with rain & ice mixed in.
went out for my walk, only a very cold 3 out, only made it a half mile
looks like we might have a few minutes of sun later, if so I'll dress warmer and try again
Was 19 - now 20, and sunny.
Ugly storm coming. 2-6 inches tomorrow, followed by sleet, freezing rain and more snow on Wed. Ugh.
freezing rain is bad, I remember once I was in a parking lot and was getting in my car when the rain started. Well, by the time I got seated and started the car, the windshield and everything else had a coating of ice. I mean everything! the side mirrors, the traffic lights, the trees, the road, everything!
Imagine if that starts up while you're actually moving, - in seconds you're on ice skates!
it was 9 this morning and more of the white stuff this week - had a herd of 20 deer in the wet lands behind the house yesterday - one ventured into the yard and i had to run them off.
Brian wants to come visit again, said he'll take care of those pesky deer for you, very quietly of course. ^_^
no problemo!! there were some real big ones in the herd too. they looked well fed as well.
Send him here after that!
I'd rather send Josh to you Victor, only because you have a smaller area...the boy has an eye of an eagle and is very stealthy. He can walk up and literally throw a rock at them before they know he is there. Last Nov. he took down a coyote on the run because it was chasing a deer. DH & my brother said the shot was well over 250' and the beast was in full run......they said it was amazing.
Sounds good! Don't want to startle the neighbors. ^_^
10° DH says that he heard coyotes howl about 5-6 yesterday morning. The usually means they have brought down a deer. They can only get them in heavy snow it seems. DH says the coyotes have left tracks around.
Yes, we've been hearing them too, sometimes they are very close.
Wish we had them!
Mkaes the hair on the back of my neck stand up when they are at the bottom of the field.
Is everyone ready for the BIGGIE on Wednesday?
I have heard Foxes in the spring and summer early evening.
Friend is going to help DH free the mailbox so it can swing back whiloe plowing is going on. Too much snow under it to do so at the moment. We have extra canned food in the house but I am planning to get more sandwich stuff in case we lose power again.
I honestly cant remember a winter like this.
I might have said before that Boston has slightly over 60" of snow this year. 'Normal' is 46"+.
Baby it's cold outside...... the low was 9°
Good afternoon.

Storm system expected to come through WNY tonight and tomorrow. We could get up to 16 inches before it is done. How many days until spring??
Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, folks.
