Moth Mullen is a wildflower. It grows where it wants to.
I put the lasagna garden in the area where it was growing but didnt se it the next year. or since. It was 2007 -8 when I saw it.
Garden Photo's, combo's, brainstorming NO LIMIT ^_^
So it's a weed?
yes
It's a pretty weed :)
I agree. Wish it had flourished. I also wish other invaders would disappear as easily.
Just change the environment near where they grow.
Imagine my surprise when I found this little beauty growing in my woodline in 2009....

Looked for it last summer but didn't see it. I read somewhere that the conditions have to be just right for it to bloom the way it did. Cool, rainy weather which we had a lot of the summer of 09
Just gorgeous. What a treat.

Fantastic
Yes, I hope it comes back...the plant, not the cold wet summer :)
must be glorious at your house.
Yes, folks that's just what we need after the Winter From Hell.....a cold, wet summer! Will move to Florida for sure! Love both those wildflowers......I usually just get fleabane, & ragged robin for wild things.....oh, plenty of dandelions & sometimes devil's paintbrush.....
Jo Ann made me think about my tall lilies this morning, and I got to thinking of the tallest ones I own. I think 'Space Mountain', Conca d' Or and 'African Queen' are tall, but my tallest last year was 'Elusive'. It was over the top of the dog fence which is 6' high.
So what is your tallest perennial?

Holy COW!!!!
I was blown over. The only reason I was out with the tape was because Allison and I were measuring the progress of the 10 foot cosmose.
I have seen moe trails a few months ago so I doubt I will beat that record.
I have never measured the African Queen but its in its 3rd year so I hope to remember this year.
This was 2009 let me see if I have a profile of that garden from last year.
Are these all in full sun? A.Q. is in full sun but Elusive is in partial shade half the day, full sun the rest.
Cool, you can see the progress!
This side of the house gets dappled sun in the AM and full sun mid day then shade the rest. Shockings get full sun all afternoon and Regals get half sun AM and full sun after 1 o'clock.
Elusive gets full sun after 1, AQ gets full sun pretty much all day and so does CDO and S.Mt.
I was surprised at how little sun they needed to perform well. I have Garden Treasure in an area that doesnt get enough sun to grow decent annual poppies.
You know this means there are more areas for lilies. I took advantage of that last year and planted tons. everywhere
I need that Garden treasure :)
That is one of my favorite combo's with the Mondara!
Very pretty, Buggy had the best bulbs!!!
Me too, love blue & orange together, lovely combo.
Aren't you clever, Jo! It will make a great trellis.....loved those lilies....my tallest lily last year was Conc A'dor...it was well over the garden fence which is 5' tall.
Thanks Marilyn. I havnt decided if it will hold clems or MG's.
MGs might be better....easier to train, & they cover a structure fast!
Yep
Beautiful Polly. What a nece combo with the waving grass.
