What are You Ordering 2011 #2
Good job, Pixie!
Are you going to go into business selling way northern grown daylilies?
I've thought about it......but i'd have to hire someone to help me. I have all I can do now to keep up w/15acres, numerous flower beds, veggie beds, and pets!!
Gotcha there. I can't keep up. It might be worth it with the price of some of the daylilies I see, though.
Can there be a count down to spring thread ?
Is it too early?
That's what the One Photo per Day thread is!
went to order clem. Diamantina from WFF until i saw the shipping was $14 - will wait until i find it locally or others offer it.
I call WFF, !!
Good one, Victor!
LOL Victor
Don't get it! It's just up the road apiece from me, Bill, but I don't think it would be any cheaper for me to buy it & ship it to you.......if it is, I'd do it.
thx marilyn - i thought about asking and then realized it would be a $5 savings or so - not a big deal - still won't order from them on principle the little clem they would send is $25 - for $40 i'm sure i will find one locally that is bigger.
If not, Bill, let me know....
We talking about WFF ?
I also have a ban on them. Bulbs? no problem.Plants forget it. Small and usually fail to thrive.I stopped buying from them 10 years or more.
The actual place is nice and people who can choose what plants they want do well.
WFF ships krapp.
But how do you really feel about them, Jo??
Ha!!!!!!!!
Thats as real as it gets.
Check them out in Watchdog. There are half as many negatives as positives. That ratio doesnt float with me.
Preaching to the choir. Have posted so many times.
same here.
I was at Loews today. Pretty dead in the garden dept. but Burpee seeds are in.
I bought seeds for this
Convolvulus was wondering how long to bloom from germination.
They take a long time, Jo! And you should soak the seed in warm water overnight. I haven't had problems with WFF...of course, the warehouse is just north of here, so the plants don't travel far, but I've always gotten nice large, strong ones. The Tomatomania in May is packed with folks, & the tomato plants are beauties, with about 100 choices.
well the snow blower is dead - after i hear back from the better half on the size of one a friend offered to let us use - will most likely order one today if it is too small - everywhere is sold out so i will have to pay list on one down the street
Has anyone ordered bulbs from 'Direct Gardening' ?
Their prices seem low...
Check them out in Garden Watchdog. There will be reviews from all over th country.
Just looked myself and its reaaaaalllly bad news.
