Have no more money to spend on plants! Oh, wait, I was called in to sub next Mon. guess I can check out a few more sites!
What are You Ordering 2011 #2
:)
My contracter gave me the estimate for the vanity w/ 2 sinks plus pendant track lights.
I didnt realize they cost as much as my first car.
No more looking or buying anything. Work starts the month all my plant orders come in, that are charged when shipped.
Glad my trellis is paid for.

i insisted on paying up front for most of my larger purchases this spring just so i would not be hit with a huge cc bill all at once - still will have to pay the shipping charges.
Bathrooms and kitchens are insane.
ge1836. He has a website, just google Crocosmia gardens and it will come up. Don't want my hand slapped, but it is a great site to see ones that are so not available, but worthy to drool on.
I feel your vanity price pain. We have a pathetic kitchen in Vt, but no budget to do it again this year. I try to pay for all my plants in cash from money put aside for it. I always spend more than planned, but not a lot.
Luckily I have just been asked to write more garden articles for the Newspaper this year which will mean some extra plant scratch. I wrote 8 last year and hope to do at least that many if not more. It is a good excuse for adding certain plants to the garden so that I can write about them. Research, but I doubt it would be a tax deduction, nor should it be.
I did a recent order from Deer Resistant Landscape.
Aconitum cammarum 'Blue Lagoon'(R)$ 9.05
Digitalis grandiflora (syn. ambigua, 'Temple Bells') Pkg of Four $ 18.12
Echinops bannaticus 'Blue Glow' $ 5.95
Geranium wlassovianum $ 6.39
Nepeta yunnanensis 'Blue Dragon' $ 8.55
Papaver orientale 'White Ruffles' 2 $ 12.30
Verbascum ‘Caribbean Crush’ $ 12.65 2 for $ 25.30
Verbascum 'White Bride' 2 for $ 12.10
Buddleia x 'Santana' $ 9.05
Buddleia x 'Flutterby Grande® Sweet Marmalade'$ 9.65
Caryopteris x 'Sterling Silver'® $ 8.15
Caryopteris incana 'Blue Myth' -- only three available$ 6.55
Hippophae rhamnoides 'Sprite' -- Sea Buckthorn shrub$ 8.95
Rhamnus frangula 'Fine Line'® -- columnar Buckthorn -- in 5& $ 6.09
Another nice list Patti, well all except the Verbascum ‘Caribbean Crush’ ....it did not look like the pictures and I was less than thrilled with it's performance.
I just called Klehms and after a lovely talk with one of the customer service reps. there, I cancelled my JM 'Tsuma gaki' :(
why?
Klehms is in a z5a/4b cusp just like me and she said it will not survive outside in winter. I have no desire to lug in and out for the next 25 years.
Need to find one a little more hardy, any suggestions?
geez - they do not get that big in containers - and besides what is Brian for anyway :) he can use that tractor to bring in a barn or garage. put that in a nice colbalt blue container it would look great.
I have Bloodgood and it does well here. It's in a protected area with dappled sun.
i would get a japconium - let me check the list diana at topiary sent for large ones - would be close to what klehms was charging
I feel in love with the leaves on 'Tsuma gaki', they looked like they have been dipped in wine, or blood:)

i know - love the tipped colored leaves and it looks to have two colors all season - it is on my list, might make this years list.
you have d-mail
Nice order, Patti. I'll be buying from him again too.
geez just tried to get to the last "buy" thread and the link at the top is too the blooms thread - JOANN :)
Victor, I am so glad you told me about him. Nice guy and he shipped me wonderful plants. Patti
Yes, he is a really nice guy. Funny how all my favorite vendors happen to be super people. Shows you that a quality person with integrity will just not sell crap. They value their customers and have a real ethic.
Wish there more like that.....I know we have some DG members who are! Pixie, I love that JM, & it would probably be hardy here....well, maybe not this winter!
actually this is the winter the jm's should do fine with the blanket of snow keeping them protected.
Yes, no worries.
One of mine....the one that came from my nephew's yard in the Bronx.....is totally covered....Cindy is poking through the snow, & Kasagiyama is half buried!
Trying to choose conifers from Bloom River and having a tough time - I want EVERYTHING!!
FW JM offerings.

Rarefind can supply me with a large Stewartia. Yay! I whittled down the Fairweather list to a dozen. I want to get hollies 'Jersey Knight' and 'Jersey Princess' from FW. I have no experience with hollies. Are they fast or slow growers?
Are they deciduous??? Which stewartia?
American Hollies, not deciduous.....

Pseudocamellia on the stewartia, unless Anne recommends something better.
Slow growers. Great stewartia!
Ah, well that figures, but I have always loved the hollies growing in the woods around here. They're so gorgeous, especially in winter.
I am very excited about the stewartia! Everything I've read is positive. No pests or diseases to speak of and blooms later than most blooming trees. There is another tree I've become interested in ..Davidia, the Dove Tree. I think it's available at RF and FW. I have one of those sneaking suspicions that it will be added to the front yard this year.
I've had Stewartia for over ten years and love it.
Good to know Victor. Thanks!
Mine is pseudocamellia. Gets great fall color!
i have a stewartia pseudocamellia as well - it is in a large container about 4-5' does not bloom much yet only a couple a year.
Would love one.....can someone add a few acres to my property?
might need to acres myself - added to my jm order at davidsans - celeste's tsami gati had to be ordered
Glad I could help Bill! LOL
I'm really looking at 'Grandma's Ghost' can get a 4 - 5' tree for $50.00
Photo, Pix?
This is the best pic of the leaf.....not sure where im ordering it from yet.
