Pelle, we have the "Oregon" Juncos here and both the male and female have the brown according to my book. There's just something so different from all my other juncos. Maybe you're right this is a female or maybe it's just still an immature.

Lionhrt, great photos of all your birds.

Great pictures all. Not much doing here today. A few Blue Jay lurking about.

And I did get a rather poor shot of a Chickadee, but this one does have eyes showing!! LOL

I enjoyed all the pix. I have a few more to share.

I like the looks of these little birds - Chipping Sparrows.

My last one is a Gold Finch . Something on the ground got its attention, probably spilled seed.

This Mourning Dove took a break in the tree.

I think I might have a problem, I had a suet cake outside and this morning I went out and it was open, and of course the cake was gone. I have a feeling a Raccoon stole what was left of the cake, so I am thinking of taking it inside at night. No birds yet today, there might be a hawk somewhere. Those Chickadees are very hard to photograph, but I finally got a couple, here is one I posted before.

Teddy, you put food out, and you feed everything! Wish I had a raccoon around here! Cute chickadee.
Dave, excellent shots. Love the robin with that juicy berry and nice one of the waxwing snagging a berry.
Nanny, way to get those brown creepers. They are kind of creepy the way they disappear.

Duc, unbelievable photos. Bald eagle is amazing. That scrub jay looked like a lizard in the thumbnail. Really shows their ancestry!
