Sports Talk!! Part 6

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Nice guy too

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes he is.

Thomaston, CT

I agree.....Collins doesn't impress me so far.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Been out of the game too long.

Thomaston, CT

Could be.....also, the pitching injuries haven't helped....now Ike Davis......

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

That's awesome bat "boy" Jen.

Big series between the Yankees and Red Sox this weekend. The Sox could use a sweep!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

They have 2 of them names Derby and Chase

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Was hoping the Celts would give the Heat more of a challenge. Rooting for the Bulls now.

South Hamilton, MA

Celtics should make a rule next yr: Do not sprain, break or dislocate anything.

Thomaston, CT

Celtics are getting' long in the tooth'.....Heat was a much younger team...Mets won 3 in a row....Amazin'

South Hamilton, MA

Yes, but injuries don't help. It turned our that center J. O'Neal while 36, also broke his wrist in the NY series. & of course Rondo is in his 20s & had the injuries to his arm that would ordinarily put him out for 6 weeks. but it was the playoffs---so--. They may not have made it for 2 more series & Heat may find it harder than they think.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it was hard to watch Perk last night in the okky/memphis game.

danny ainge needs his head examined!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

For re-signing Doc?

South Hamilton, MA

Perk was going to leave. Celtics had offered him the most they could under the rules (don't know how those work). He turned it down & was going for more. I hated to see him leave & it hurt the team, but at least something was gained IF the new guys sign on.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

you may be right lucy - they still would be playing if he was in green.

Doc is a great coach

South Hamilton, MA

We'll never know. Attitude from here spreads. Originally Memphis coach said that Tony Allen was an 'average' player. But look what his attitude has done for them Talent as well, but defensive attitude helped.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So what were you referring to with Ainge, Bill??

As much as I wanted the Heat to lose, I LOVE that both the Celts and Lakers are out!! Sweet.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

should not have traded perk even if they could not sign him - they were trying to win it this year and placed all the marbles with shaq

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ah - okay. Yeah, Shaq is way over the hill.

Thomaston, CT

Ain't we all.......

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Red Sox swept the Yankees in New York. Just the third time that has happened in the 25 years.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

a beautiful thing!

and boston rob wins surviver:)

New Boston, NH

Red Sox continue in the recovery ,thank goodness things were bleak not long ago. They are playing like a team now someone always steps up.

Thomaston, CT

Mets, too, surprisingly!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Shaquille retired - finally.

Thomaston, CT

With his money, he could!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

about time, what's he 60?

South Hamilton, MA

39 the real one, not the Jack Benny one.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Barkley said the Heat are whiners. I agree.

Thomaston, CT

Haven't been following the basketball....Mets are doing better, but I'm sure will tank soon.....Uconn's baseball team made it to the Super Regionals, and 2 players were picked in the top 20 in the draft.......

South Hamilton, MA

Heat players were so sure that they would be able to win multiple championships. Hope not this year, but they are talented. Last night a player with the flu managed to lead his team to victory. Hope that Dallas wins tomorrow as I am sure they can't manage 2 games in Miami.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, they must win tomorrow. Nowitzki is a great player.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yay, Mavs!! Just one more!

South Hamilton, MA

The Heat is a good team & they will win their share of championships. I just don't want them to win this one. Hope the Mavs can win in Miami. It will be difficult.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

James is so overrated. He faded in the 4th once again. He has no fire. And Pippen said he may be better than Jordan. What a joke. MJ would take over the game in the 4th.

South Hamilton, MA

I saw a remark that all the players who came straight out of high school initially had game finishing problems. James is talented but before everywhere he was the best player on the team so may not be able to adjust as yet. He has never been this deep in the playoffs before. He had the triple double last night but that by itself doesn't win games & Wade was 'off' after his hip injury. He then played more as an individual. Hope the Mavs can win one in Miami. As one of their players said, it would be better to take the first one.

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Anybody notice that the Yankees just got swept by the Red Sox in New York?

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I heard that. Go Socks!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Happy belated birthday, GSox.

South Hamilton, MA

R. sox have done it twice this year. Good for the soul in this area.
