Coffee Break # 49 Happy Christmahanukwanzika!

I used to make bread and rolls and work with yeast dough. Its been a long time since I kneeded anything including clay( which is wedging not kneeding)
From the Ask link I think the best way is to do what De. said and let the dough rise half way ,then refrig.I can take it out when I wake up. It should be ready for the oven at 6AM

I've been wrapping X-Mas gifts since 4 am...halfway done. :)

Thats quite a job for your tribe.
Our house is full of adults. Not as many gifts but cost more.
I give envelopes to my grandchildren. All college kids and broke.
I have to share this.
Last weekend a woman who lives up the street called. "Did I remember when she and her mother in law were at my painting sale in October?
The Pears painting she loved?
Did I still have it and she would be there in a few minutes to buy it for MIL xmas.
She never showed so yesterday I took it to tyhe basement.
I have been stood up before ,Its no biggy.
She must have come last night after I was i bed and DD and SIL got it for her. The check was on the tree. WHOOOOPEEE.
My faith in man is restored.

CONGRATS grandpawha ^_^ That is the bestest present!!! Methinks Bould would be a luvly name (short for boulder but sounds like bold and courageous). O bother my camera sucked me into a false sense of security AGAIN. Just when I think all is good the blinky 'memory card full' thingy goes off :( I don't know why they can't make one that lasts forever. Anyhoo as I have no dahlias at the moment I'm making cameraguy figgy pudding. (In case he is allergic to nuts, gingersnaps will be my backup. I'd like to bring him rum balls but it is probably a faux pas to bring rummy things to his work)

I'm dreaming of chocolate-covered potato chips, but watching the History Channel.

I just finished stuffing dates with 2 fillings.
BlueCheese and Creamcheese and roasted Pecans
Plain Cream Cheese with roasted pecans.
I'm going to start the Monkey Bread this afternoon, refrigerate over night and serve tomorrow.

Waiting on my guest to arrive!

Just want to wish all of the great freinds I have found in the Northeast the very Happiest of Christmases♥

I'm going to eat continually until Boxing Day at which point I hope I can still fit into a box (she says while munching on another vitamin sprinkle enriched sugar cookie) I'm about to make homemade herbie pasta and more ginger snaps cuz the last ones were snapless sigh.

spent the morning skating - then a few hours with a two wheeler getting rocks from across the pond out back (nice big ones covered with lichens for the stream and pond i would like to build some day) - will be doing that all weekend while the snow stays away - and then house cleaning for tonight's dinner - and finally jumped on the elliptical for a half hour.

Exercising on Christmas Eve? Blasphemous! You're supposed to be baking cookies or pies!

Finished the fun gourmet food shopping today and now I'm ready to make two blueberry cream cheese pies.
