I know it is a hard decision, I just asked my DH is I would go to Hell for taking Duke to the dr to be put to sleep to end his pain and suffering. He said he didn't think so.
I keep thinking if I did that to my dog, my kids might think it was okay to do that to me, and then I felt no way!
But , if he keeps falling, stumbling and if his tumors grow larger, I will have to let him go to Heaven and wait for me.
Here is Duke the 16 yr old Beagle, my best Gardening friend I have ever had, hanging out in the downstairs "back yard" as if we were really out there .
Never an easy decision, my heart is with you.

i feel for you two ladies, but the right ans.will come.
retta
I will say prayers for both dogs. The heartbreak of having to make a decision is very difficult to make. I wish you both heartfelt hugs and please Know I understand. I have been put in that place and it is never easy. How much pain can the pet take???
Blessings you two and your furbabies too.
It is soo sad when our furbabies get old and sick and there's nothing that can be done for them.I know the right answer will come for both of you ladies...Still it is just so sad. I know...been there, done that. Prayers for both of you and your pups.
Kaluah and Polly are just adorable.
Debra,I keep forgetting to ask you, what kind of tomatoes are those? This year, I think I will try Burpees Big Boy hybrid, and Tommy toes.Tommy toes are an heirloom cherry tomato, that my dad always grew when I was a kid. I thought that it was just a nickname that he called them, cause they were small, until I ran onto them on line....lol
Elizabeth, if your brug gets some color, don't forget to post another pic for us!
Dee
Good Morning Everyone
I feel for you ladies, I have also been there & done that, we had a poodle, that went Blind that was alright, but when his legs
went out, then we knew it was time, I know also that the right answer will come for you
Dee, that Brug has never had any color too it, this is the third year I have been growing it, it still just Blooms white, maybe
later on this Spring/Summer it will have some color
Karen, it's always nice too see you, 46 days till Spring, I am so looking forward too the nice weather, that we're suppose
too have
Charlene, you weather should be super nice, the next few days
Retta, I can imagine you're sending Valentines, everyone will love them
Crit, she's a cutie
Debra, I know warm weather is on it's way too you
Debra ..... Duke looks like a sweetheart.
Besides her eyes, pistol is in good health. No other problems. Up until a couple months ago when she went blind, you would of thought she was a puppy, and a lot of people did. She would jump up into my arms. Run around the yard chasing birds, squirrels, rabbits, etc. Very active little gal. So sad to see her to not able to do that anymore. She doesn't act like she is in pain, but the vet said if it is glaucoma, which she thinks that is part of the problem, that is very painful. She said they 'suffer in silence'. She never acts like she hurts. She loves to snuggle. That is what makes it so hard. She acts fine otherwise. I just don't think I can do it......I'm hoping God will do it for me if that is what should happen. I had to put my ex-husbands dog down when we were married. Ex was out of town working, and his dog attacked a baby calf. I put him on a chain, and he chewed through his collar and attacked my daughters 4-H bucket calf that was in a small pen in the barn and would of killed her had I not gone out. Poor little baby had no way to get away from him. I bawled all the way to town and had to leave work because I was so upset. He wasn't my dog and we hadn't had him near as long as I've had her. She's been through so much with me.
Thanks you all for your kind words. I know people have to make this kind of decision every day, but it's hard when it is you. I really appreciate my friends here!!!
My PC crashed and am using Maggi's laptop. We are back in the 70S and the forecast for the next two weeks show that we will be above 50 for the lows and in the 70S for the high. This may be it for Winter, strange weather.
35 days until Spring and 30 days average last frost.
Good Morning Everyone

It is really strange here. The weather is warming up everyday, but there is still a lot of snow on the ground. You can be in short sleeves and be comfortable, then walk past some of that snow and the temp drops about 10* or more. Really odd having it warm and nice with snow on the ground!
Good Morning Everyone
