Ken, you sure do have some beautiful fowl! I would be happy if I could just talk my hubby into some Buff Orpington chickens. He says he doesn't want any *#%* chickens...lol....goofy city boy.You know if I had something that I could turn into a chicken coop,I'd probably have them anyway..lol
Elizabeth, it snowed most of the day here yesterday to, then again this morning, and it warmed up a little tonight and started raining for a little while..Crazy weather!
Debra,That's great about the service berries, congrats! I think my Sting Ray rotted on me, again. This is the second year in a row that I lost it during the winter. I love that one, but I think I'm gonna give up on it.I am cutting back on Brugs this year, too. Last year, it took me two hours to water just the brugs and I neglected alot of other plants.I am going to keep mostly doubles and a few of my favorite singles...definately Painted Lady and Apricot Moonflower. I love those 2.
Crit, I would love to see that video, but I'm on dail up...takes about an hour to get a video on you tube.We have a rat terrier. Aren't they a smart dog? Our Mollie does everything, but talk.... I tell everyone that she's not really a dog...she's just our homely kid...lol. Stay warm!
Dee
Velvet Rose Brugmansia
ah debra, that is so nice to see my brug before i even get it,how wonderful.
dee,if you have cuttings(would like to try again),i would love to have some.

spring spring,hurry spring.
retta
Retta, I plan on sharing with you and
crit, and everyone else here, if I have anything that they want, but these are all the folks that shared with me, so they probably have everything that I have. My brugs are dormant in the basement, so it will be a while, before I know who made it tthru the winter. I wish I had room in the plant room to bring them up early and get them started, but it is overflowing, since I set up the two seed starting tables. When it warms up a bit, I am going to put the brugs out on the front closed in porch, but there is no heat out there.
Your brugs are looking good, Debra!
Dee
Charleen, now, that is one precious pup! He is adorable.what is he, mini pin, chi?, or what?.Looks like you are spoiling him silly, which is how it should be! I know, I haven't been on much at all this winter. At first it was just the slow connection that had me aggravated, then DH has been in and out of the hospital in Indy. But things are looking up now, and I know there are sunny days ahead. I missed everyone, sooooo much. I just love talking to y'all!
Dee
Good afternoon everyone

Love that Puppy, and glad you got to met Mekos, Charleen, I love meeting my net gardening buddies alot! I have met some face to face, and a few on the phone, and hope to see everyone someday. That is in my Bucket List.
My mom had a rat terrior named ginger she was a good mouser. My grand ma and grandpa had two chiwawas, smokie and snow ball. My beagle is not feeling well. I hope he is just suffering from winter blues like me, we are getting up to 6 more inches of snow tommorrow. Had to bring in some winter sowing pots, since it is getting down to minus temps the next few nights. That was just a couple of brugs, Eliabeth. I have a whole room full and keep findng others I forgot I had stuck in rooting pots. *sigh* I can't wait to send these out.
You have to bring in ws jugs? I just set mine out a couple days ago.
Yes, RT's are great mousers and snakers. They were bred, in England I believer, to go down varmit holes and retrieve them. I have moles, voles, or some kind of digging critter that leaves mounds in my garden. If they find a hole 'opening', like if I stepped on a hill and it collapsed, they are right on top of it!!!!!
Good Morning everyone
well I picked up my cats from the vet, they are now fixed it's a good thing, that I only had 3, no more kittens for me, I have too pick momma cat up some wet cat food, that spoiled Girl isn't eating the meow mix, after I got them home, I got them out of the carrier, they walked like they were drunk, the boy cat got around just fine, in 10 days I have too take them back
the Girls too get out their stiches
Debra, I can't wait too get that Cherub, Monday it's suppose too be 53 degrees, but that temp won't last, we'll probably get a foot of snow by Wednesday, tonight it will be 10 degrees, but Hey it's 51 days till Spring Yippee

temp here -9 this morning. 40 miles north where they had over 2 feet of snow it was -27 ..... AIR TEMP. -35 wind chill. Setting lots of long standing records from the 1920's. Terrible. BUT......... the rest of the story.......... forecasting 68 on Wednesday!!!!!!! WOW
31 degrees and we had a little blanket of snow this morning. But it is melting pretty fast. Maybe Spring is just around the corner, I sure hope so.
Good Morning to you all.....
-31* air temp in green country this morning. Thursday .... 72*!!!
we set a 29 yr old record low of -29 last night. I can't wait to see if it killed all the dang mealey worm and cabbage loper eggs out there. Hubby says you know how mother nature is, they prolly went deep enough to live. I hope every dang bug out there is frozen solid. There, I feel better now....
On the other hand, I sure hope my snow berry bush survived.
Oklahoma set all kinds of town and state records that were set back in the 1920's! We are going to be 70 Wednesday and 72 on Thursday. Go figure!
crit,ur lucky.we will be in the 40s and 50s next week. ;)
retta
Think I would rather stay in the 40's and 50's. Don't want things thinking spring is here, because I'm sure it IS NOT, and getting frozen from another storm. We have peach and pecan orchards around here. If they bud out and it freezes too late, it ruins their crops..... AND their incomes!
Max kept moving on me his photo is Blurry, it's 42 days till Spring, I think everyone has Record low Temps this year, the first month after having foam insulation my utitility bill is going down, I am amazed because we have had such cold weather
also I just got 2 more replacement widow's installed, 6 more & the whole house is done Yippee, have a great day, stay
warm
Elizabeth
very pretty brug, and such lovely cats, elizabeth.thought you had three?
i'm the only female in this household.i'm out numbered.lol
retta
ps,elizabeth, glad you are getting your house done.wish i could get mine finished.
Elizabeth, your babies are just beautiful, and have grown sooo much, since fall! Glad they are all doing better. Sure wish we had smell a vision too. My nostrils could use a summer fix!..lol...It is supposed to warm up here by the weekend. I hope it melts off this layer of ice.Our driveway is treacherous...the snow blower won't even touch it :o(.
Finally got my brug cuttings potted up.They are a little droopy right now, but I'm sure they will stop pouting soon.
Retta, sooo sorry to read of the loss of your niece.
Dee
Good Morning Everyone
Dee, it's good too see you, that's the only Brug I have Blooming right now, if the weather has it right, it will be a great warm
up, we sure could use the break from the cold, 47 days till Spring
Crit, he's so cute, I miss having a dog
Charlene, what a cutie, that puppy would'nt be spoiled would it? the Sun is out this morning, I love it
Elizabeth
What cute babies you all have!
Yes, it's a beautiful day. supposed to get in 50's.
Gorgeous day. Thanks , we love our furbabies...
Thanks! Just took my little Pistol, the blind 16 year old, to the vet because it looked like she had run into something and one eye was all red. Turns out she has a 'melting ulcer' on it and there really isn't any treatment for it, along with glaucoma. The other eye has a little spot on it. They only real thing they can do is remove the eye (the ulcer could eventually cause the eye to erupt) and put a shot in the other one to kill the cells, but it might shrivel the eye too. The other choice, as the vet put it, is to relieve her of her pain and suffering. The surgery will be about $450 and I worry about the anesthetic at her age. I hope the ointment she gave me reduces it and makes it do better. The thought of putting her down just breaks my heart. She has been through a lot with me in the last 16 years, but she has also had a good long life. Besides her eyes, she is fine. I'm just praying for the right thing.
Thanks, I needed to see this in writing. I know I will get an answer on what I need to do.
