Same here with our dog, I put unbreakables at the bottom.
Northeast forum Pets 8
same here... a lot of the foam ones I made from oriental trading go down there
Everyone's short in my family so eye level IS the bottom!
LOL...yes, all the unbreakables are on the bottom of my tree, too, thanks to my GS. And this has to be one for the love of an animal....the whole Goshen compound took the train into NYC today, leaving me to drive 40 min. (one way) to let Ollie out to pee at noon time....I kid you not.....good thing I love Ollie!
I still remember Ollie's friendly "mug" (face) from a photo a few days ago...he's definately a family member, and well worth the drive!
My late mother used to say, "there's a special place in Heaven for people that love animals."
:)
Yeah - we are the official heavenly pooper scoopers!
My parents loved animals, I've always had a dog (cats, too, when the dogs were friendly with them), but my sister has never had a pet, and my brother only had 1 dog & 1 cat when his kids were growing up....can't believe we're in the same family!
Talk about a cringe-inducing headline.

Re: the Vick article...It's always the kids that suffer for the parents actions
Vick can have my airedale...he'd teach him about abusing dogs!
I wouldn't want Vick near a dog!
My dale bites....I think it would be a match!
Good! That would teach him.
He did state that he was taken to his first dog fight when he was eight. So he grew up thinking hthat it was normal. He may think it would be ok, but learning animal discipline in the normal way would be a tough change. Way to soon if ever.
that's very cute and different than how I played doctor
Hee hee! Me too.
Yeah, but this is the canine version! lol They do the other "checking out" normally....!
The girls are all grown up! Can't believe it's been a year already. They are so cute, Louise, & wonderful company.
Yes, Marilyn - they are growing up quickly and we are both enjoying them immensely. I just love the photo above. It's one of my favorite because it give a sense of how they are always playing together. They are very comical fur kids! I marvel also at how they seem to read our minds, and aren't all of our fur kids practically human? I think most of you will agree with me on that!
Allison - is Eros still with you? I think I'd invalidate the contract with the adopting parents and tell them that they just waited too long! lol
How cute Louise!! All was well with the check up I hope ;)
Yes, Celeste - Carli told Bailey to keep the growling and barking to a minimum and she'd be fine. lol
LOL!!
yes Eros is still with us... but at the moment visiting with Michele... more or less she wanted to see him before he left... and now has said she is going to dognap him... because Ana will never find where she lives... LOL... she loves him as much as we do
It was 7 years ago today that we adopted Robin....how can he still act so nutty?
"It was 20 years ago today, our pups taught us how to play,
we've been enjoying them ever since, because they keep us young at heart...."
It's been 4 years since I adopted Wallingford - why is he still biting me and riding HollyCat like she is a pony?
A merry little bit of fun from me to all of my pet-loving friends.........I hope your furry kids have as nice a holiday as I am wishing for you all!

Thank you Louise, I too loved it! Merry Christmas!
Loved it, Louise! Didn't know Jacks were so smart! Oh, Wall-e looks very handsome. I put Suey outside about halfway through our luncheon, & forgot about her! She is very shorthaired & was freezing when I let her in.....she's been giving me dirty looks for the last hour.....I don't blame her!
Wall-e is very handsome... what a momma take the hat off me boo boo face he has
No good deed goes unpunished.

how sick is that?
I will never understand that phrase.........why should good deeds be punished??
I think Mike Vick should get a dog for his kids with this:
A different humane society person should do an at home inspection once a week
The breed of dog should be considered....no pit bulls, mastiffs, rotties etc...get a golden or yorkie etc again
This man is sitting in a position to uplift society......he can show that a leopard can change it's spots.....I hope he can fulfill everything that many people are holding their breath about....He was at the top and sunk to the bottom and now seems to be working very, very hard to come to the top again. If he can hit many high schools where dog fighting is a part of the "culture" and lecture how wrong it is....he will do much more good than I ever could..........he is the only person that ever caused me to root for the Eagles....THAT SAYS A LOT ^_^
That's just it, Weeze - it's sarcastic/ironic. Sometimes you do the right thing and get screwed for it! I imagine it's a play on 'No good deed goes unturned.'
Funny card. I almost missed the sleigh crossing the moon.
Re dog for Vick. I don't think that he would know enough about normal handling of a dog, including necessary discipline to have one.
I get the irony, maybe I should say that I don't understand why good deeds end up punished. I think the idealistic part of my brain too often overrides the realistic part of my brain. I set myself up for disappointment. Maybe I'm doing that with Vick, but I don't think so :)
Here Weeze, this happened in Maine just the other day and the men WERE rewarded. Not with much, but a nice thank you anyways!!
