well, we don't have "windchill" right now, so that's the temp.....
and this mobile is cold anyway - the previous owners said they re-insulated, HA! We added some insulation, but would have to tear down walls to add more. I have a heater going in the den, where I am.

Good memory, but, SHORT it seems LoL ..
Been a day here and it is still ONGOING ... took Lorna to the neighbours so she could plough them out .. the machine broke down .. so .. back we came .. got re ready in our 'going to town clothes' and headed in .. picked up the calendar I had made online through Staples .. it was OK .. I sure think it could have been better .. like .. one photo had a punch mark through it for the hanger .. so .. were I to do it again .. I would likely do a desktop one .. sure do have enough WESTIE pics to do that !!
Got home, took Lorna back next door at 3 and here I be again ..
We had -18C early this morning .. round about -5C right now .. clear and sunny .. supposedly more snow on the way .. have looked at 3 weather sites and have seen nadda ..
My Dance Card is sure filling up with Volunteer events .. luncheons, programs etc .. add appts to that and I think there really SHOULD be 36 hours in a day !!
Off to throw another log on the fire ..

I'm shaking right now...... I got an email from them, with a link to my wage, etc, but nothing about when I start. I called Bob and while starting my conver with him, another call came in from the office and she said "Jerri spoke to you about wages, etc... " I said 'no, I haven't talked to anyone since Nov 2". she said "I'll talk to Jerri and call you back".
They've moved to the new location - 5 min away.
It's taking me awhile to type this as I'm making typos..... all over the place......and correcting them LOL
I'm waiting for more info from them, and will give it to you when I get it

btw - the job I got.......
It's an Executive Assistant position with Alberta Health Services, and it's a 5 min drive from me, making a bit more than I made at my last job.
I'd applied the end of Sept, got my 1st interview on Oct 13th, and then I got offered a casual position that same day. I called back my interview and they said "you've been screened in" I confirmed (3 different ways!!) that she meant I was being offered a job.... she said "Yes" 3 different ways rofl I told her, "based on what you're saying, that I will be offered a job, I will turn down the casual position" I said this a couple of times. Then I got a 2nd interview on Oct 22, and a 3rd interview on Nov 2nd along with a Skills Test same day. My references were called Nov 3, and I hadn't heard anything Since! It's been 3 weeks to the day, and then they emailed me an offer. Apparently they were supposed to call me first and forgot.... whistling
So, even though I'm being offered the job, I have to wait until one of my new bosses calls me to talk about the job. I suppose she'll call tomorrow whistling
The lady I spoke to today said she'd left a voice mail and an email telling her to call me ASAP so they can get on with it!!!

Morning all, still excited about Susan's news and just think by tonight "M" will be washing and drying up a storm while singing to tunes..
Wow talk about the cold and wind coming in, had flurries and then it started to rain, was almost frightened to look outside this morning as I thought (o.k. I was wishing for) freezing rain might be in the offering..so wanted to stay home..NO go but I am feeling in need of that kind of day, a day to stay in my jammies..
Ann didn't come to play bingo last night as her usual, no telephone call so I imagine their appt. with the cancer specialist didn't end up with good news ..prayers needed!

Well I think seeing as I am caught up with everything, I can go get breakfast, feet up and watch the news to see what the world is doing today before I head out to work..

Laurie .. loved the link, great way to start the day !!!! Boy, would I loved to have been there .. I am a MOST voracious 'people watcher' .. especially in Malls or airports .. weird hobby I know, but, I do so love 'human nature'.
I couldn't sleep last night for thinking about the arrival and removal(of old/new) and installation of the THIRD set of washer/dryer units .. I KNOW the third time is the charm, but I have so LOST my faith in Sears, the sales lady is as nervous as I am. I think I have explained that my stacking unit fits into an alcove that is 8' high and 27" wide .. about 6' deep .. it's an 'exacting' job/fit .. and I just absolutely HATE the looks on the faces of the guys who come in to accomplish it. I have fingers crossed it'll be the 2 fellas from last time. One of them was a tiny guy, and he had no problem getting in behind, hooking up the hoses and then helping secure the dryer and coming out over the top .. I HUGED him for his effort, just couldn't help myself, course .. an hour after they left, I realized the washer was a dud !!
This time I will have them wait til I run a cycle .. or see to it that there IS power to the washer !!
Coolish morning .. more snow being predicted, looked at 2 radar sites and have nary a clue where it's coming from ..
plan to run to the feed store for some bags of corn for the deer .. just wish I had a firm TIME of arrival for Sears.

COUNTING slowly and methodically to one thousand, took blood pressure meds, took some tylenol, and am now about to slowly lose my mind, because .. I am looking at a beautiful Whirlpool washer that is sitting in my KITCHEN!!
BUT .. I do have a load of washing in the new washer !!! The kit to stack the dryer on top of the washer was NOT interchangeable beyween Inglis and Whirlpool :-( SO ... the part is being Purolatored from REGINA !!!
Should arrive Friday .. and a SEARS service call will be done and do I BELIEVE that .. NO I DO NOT !!!!
Off to the laundromat with the wet laundry .. least I saved $12.00 on washing machine usage there.

Yes, they need an assistant, BADLY....... they Still haven't called me re: wage negotiations (I was told that my new boss Had to call about this ASAP!), and that was yesterday @ 2:30...... it's now 11:30 next day, and I don't know why someone isn't pushing her to make this call. I Would, if I were working for her now..... people need to be reminded to do their jobs sometimes LOL It's just one of the things a good secretary does, is to keep their boss/bosses on track for time-sensitive stuff..........
