Karen
hey you Girl you made it over here, it's so good too see you, Thank you, can you believe the color difference in the P&C, my DH had too go buy me another light
fixture, one Bulb had Blown, then I put another one in, it starting making this really funny noise, then it acted like it was going too Blow, so I told him it may be the fixture
of course he said something different, he said the Bulbs was too big, so being the sweet thing he is, he went & bought me a new fixture, with the right size Bulbs
that was after him not seing me all day, I have been in the basement, taking care of the Brugs, doing laundry, & moping the basement floor, Oh I got my Plumeria's
today, they are Huge, one even has 3 branches, yippee
Hi Debra, good illustration, looks like it works well for you
Sherri, I am so glad your clippings are doing so well, Debra is right it's so exciting too see them get roots, that means you're doing something right
Dee, where have you been? all we need now is Charlene, Where is she?
Dirtygirl71, looking good, I have had a couple root in my windows also, now I need too pot them up, then put them closer too the light's in the basement, I have another
Brug, getting ready too Bloom, I will post it as soon as it opens, yes they are Fragrant, but just not as strong as when they Bloom outside, the color difference
amazes me
Elizabeth
those look great! I have some in water too, clear and changed, some in a bubbler, and the big ones in the tubs are ready to plant.. or send off ...one or the other..
Just cut off the three high branches of Flamenco, poor thing..
Debra
I have been cutting back some of my really Big clippings, it's very important, too change the water, I found that out the hard way, they stink if left in the water for one week, I still have too get a Bubbler started
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I found a bubbler on sale at our Atwoods here, it was 6 dollars, it works great. I just have them in a cheap plastic trash can I found at dollar general. I have a big blue tub filled with water but that is to water with it has a bubbler too. Just too many trips up and down for my knees and back this winter. I just need to get all the cuttings I have promised out gone, and then I can rest up a bit. I just had to cut back the jasmine sambcus, it is throwing off shoots and blooming, but had damage from white flies this summer and didn't want any hatching.
I deleafed the cuttings, ran them under hot water and they are in a water cup until I can get them in vermiculite. I checked my brugs in all the small experimental containers, we are looking good. Damien has a passel of roots in his two liter bottle. it is ready to mail out. I am thinking I am going to mail the ones in the plastic water and pop bottles as they are.. what do you think? Here is my pleckanthrus Mona, I can't spell it, the mother plant is in a nice pot downstairs, and her cuttings are rooting upstairs.
Deb, is it a purple passion? Hey! Elizabeth, I'm here about everyday, I just don't always write anything. I'm missing Dee. Where has she gone?? Working on her greenhouse and garage???
I'm still taking leaves from the brug cuttings and got more to do today.
Charleen
Morning everyone, I haven't gone anywhere...just trying to get a lot done, before Thanksgiving. We will be doing dinner at my youngest daughter's house, but I am going to be cooking about 1/2 the meal...been going thru things in the garage and digging out the big pots and pans that I only use during holidays, a few of the things that have never gotten un-packed.Trying to get house all cleaned and put together, because my oldest daughter and the kids will be staying here during that time.
Debra, I love using soda bottles, as rooting jars and flower pots, they are perfect, aren't they? The ones that I use as planters, I keep an old pointed knife that I heat up over the flame on the kitchen stove(gas) and use it to melt small slits in the bottom of, for drainage.
Elizabeth, I bet you are busy getting ready for Thanksgiving also, aren't you.
Morning Charleen.
Dee
Oh yes, What's with the uside down tops of soda bottles???? that was mentioned somewhere and I don't get it.....
Yea! How are you Dee? I'm brugin today. Sending out cuttings.
Charleen
Hey, Good afternoon everyone. Debra, that is a pretty plant you have going there, it does take time too get everything mailed out, I still have a couple Boxes too mail out

Dee, when you don't post every day, we worry about you, Yes I am just about ready for Thanksgiving, I had my Carpet cleaned, everything looks so much better, the 9th, was DH's Birthday, my oldest DD came over today took him too Lunch, I just gave him Money, can't go wrong with that, I give all my Family Money for their Birthdays & Christmas, if they get the wrong presents, then it's their fault, in 2 weeks my Christmas is done, I will put my Christmas tree up on the 29th of this month
I have 2 too put up, then it's going too be fun watching my GS, that's almost 3, trying too get the ornaments off the tree, there will be photo's
Charlene, what Brugs are you sending out? Oh my Brug will be Blooming tommorrow, I will post it as soon as the second skirt drops

Have any of you ever grown adenium( desert rose) from seed? I'm thinking about trying some.
Dee
I grew some desert rose from seed one year, then they toppled over and died.
LOL I have to get all the trades done this weekend. I have 6 to get ready. then I am declining any inquiry's until I get the holidays over. Went to my GS's highschool musical HAIRSPRAY,
it was great. Daughter Rose went with me, and Daughter Karin ( GS's momma) was so very proud.
off to bed, work at 6:30 in the am.
Betty Marshall is in full flush downstairs. I have about 7 ibiscus blooms, four morning glorys open and new growth on some of the cuttings. I am happy.

retta
Good Morning to you all.
Retta, why are your brugs dying? Is there anything we can help you with? It is a learning experience to grow Brugs but the blooms make it so worth it.
Elizabeth I love the little GH Robert got me. I love to unzip the door and smell the wonderful scents of it. Here is a pic, I wish I could sent you a smell, I know you would love it. Ken's Pink Beauty is blooming, Believe that is Cherub there in front. See Ken's Tropical Sunset is loaded with blooms. Some plants I stripped off all the leaves and bloomsThey were so wilted so I just got rid of them. Maybe now they will start making nubbies. I hope so. Been a wonderful growing and learning year.

retta
i'm not giving up.
hello all :)
Retta sometimes it is just hard to root cuttings this time of year.
I have lost a few already. I am still trying to root a bunch! No worries..I can send you some already rooted come spring : )
Very nice Charleen!!!
thank you, Dear. You are righ, they will root when they are ready and you have to keep changing the water. It can get real smelly if you don't.
for me it is the fine line between barely damp and too wet ;{ i got the warmth & bright light part...i also like to use clear pots to see root activity...water bottles or clear cups ect.
Retta did I send seeds to you?
yes kim u did,and they are planted,in my mini green house.

Bergkonigin, Elizabeth, what is it? Is it the same as a H&G??? I have one of tose but not the
Bergkonigin. You are so right Debra. I have some brugs in an old mop bucket and I tossed in a couple of water hyacinths to see if they would help with the water issues. Brugs are so tempermental. good Morning Everyone.
Debra, Thank you, Yes it's a keeper
Charlene, it's a wonderful, dark pink double Brug, I just love the color, it's a smaller Bloom, but it's a smaller plant, under a foot tall, hopefully next Spring/Summer
when it's in the ground, it will be a lot bigger, what's a H&G?, I was so lucky too find Bergkonigin this year, I had just about giving up hope on finding one, but a good Friend in California had one, so now I have it
Elizabeth
It is a German Brug, George gave me. I'll look up the real name. My pink Smitty is blooming inthe house. Elizabeth, I looked up yours and it looks very similiar to my Smitty. So pretty. Let me look and find out the name. It's a double brug Yellow I think. I'll find out. Herrenhauser Gartenthis is what H&G stands for.
