Good for you!
What are you working on #3
Congrats victor. Not there yet. Patti
Way, way not there yet!
Of course, I don't pick up the leaves. My cutters do that - and usually trample plants in the process.
Of course.....just like my mowers took out a butterfly bush!
I give anyone who does a lot of cleanup this time of year credit, so good on you Victor. Rest of mine gets done in spring. Cut back a few nasty looking things earlier and the rest is done in spring around here. Helps me remember where everything is and a good excuse to get out early and check things out. Also some seed heads look nice in winter and give food and shelter for the birdies. Besides the oak trees will be dropping leaves all winter; some will degrade to feed the soil , some will blow away and the rest the gardener will remove when the garden itch can not be ignored another minute.
Thank you, Pat.....you have just made my day.....my work is finished!
^_^ Always happy to help.
2 days of weeding plus squashed one green cutworm on tues & one green & one brown & yellow cutworm on Wed. So nice for decorator colors.
I leave most with seeds for spring too.
Have to set up the iris seeds & get them in the dirt packets outdoors.
Pat, I'm with you. I get some cleanup done now, but more done in the spring.
Karen
Lots of leaves down, tarp fills down the hill to the compost pile, but doesn't even make a dent.
I have to finish the garden in the next week, as the spring is all about the bulbs, and they need a clean place for them to pop up in. Otherwise it is a disaster as we would miss seeing all the little guys among the debris. Plus it is far easier to plant the fall bulbs in clean beds. ugh, lots to do. Patti
Our friend is a professional drywaller. He also paints and I got the boot!
Nov. 10 the quote. Now Nov. 20th and its still not done!
wish i had the fantastic 1/4 acre - maybe by next week i will be done with clean up:)
Hee hee! Did I ever actually say 1/4 acre?? ^_^
nice shot Bill.. fire shots are always nice.. I have some from my 35MM that came out awesome.. I should scan them
That moon is awesome tonight!
That's a fantastic shot, Bill. I posted a link to info on Sunday's 'blue moon' on the coffee break thread.
Karen
Nice evening shot with moon and fire Bill. Hope there was a tall one in the mix somewhere too.
Looks very inviting!
Wha, How's the Hernia? OMG, you are a brute. Patti
You are a CRAZY guy!!
I saw someone posted on this thread and said to myself, "Wow, someone is actually working on a project." And there you were, Bill, at it again. That's some rock!
Karen
Everyone please sing in unison:
"Just what makes that little old ant,
think he'll move a rubber tree plant..."
;)
ouch
LOL B.A..... Bill you are a crazy man!!!
hey - its a great rock:)
Too funny B.A....but now that darn song is stuck in my head!
Bill, no comment because im just as bad. I have a scar on my right thigh from trying to lift one that weighed more than I did. I got it to an upright position then it started rolling back at me and I did not have enough weight to stop it. Nor was I fast enough to get out of it's way and it rolled down my leg. DH was NOT taking pictures....but i should of took one of his face when he was yelling at me. It was RED, looked like a big tomato with a mouth!! LOL
I like your description of DH Celeste!
not sure brian would like it:)
Deb, I had all I could do not to laugh at him! ^_^
Oh he'd love it Bill, but he now has the big old tractor to move things with so he won't play "He-Man" anymore and doesn't want me to play "She-Ra"!!
celeste i will let victor respond to that description :)
Please NO! I really set myself up for this one, didn't I?
