That's Entertainment!! Part 5

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I wish I could buy shoes like that. I want clog slippers and have such big wide feet I dont dare order w/out trying on.
The websites and stores are giving good deals.

What size do you wear ge?
DD went from a 9-9.5 to a 10 after 2 kids, can't wait to see how big her feet get when she's done having kids!! LOL

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I wera a 10 and a half extra wide. I could paddle like a duck if necessary.
4 kids in rapid succession AND I was a earthy type, loved to go barefoot.I was warned so I cant complaine.

10.5 is easy to find, extra wide is the hard part, they usually only make wides.
Maybe this would work? it has a knitted cloth for added stretch.

Yes I know...my grandaughter started wearing a size 5 in womens, but when her other grandmother took her to one of the big stores such as Wallyworld ...she wore a 7! She's not even 12 until Jan!!

I had to give away over 100 pairs of shoes after having my son, went from a regular width to wide but stayed a 6.5

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Imelda?!!!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yep.
My goal was to have a flat and a heel in every color. I went in to work wearing heels and by the afternoon had to change to flats but didn't want to ruin the look of the outfit.

I was telling my niece how sometimes I just walk around the garden looking at everything, she responded that she sometimes does that in her closet with her shoes!

Oh no!!!

A friend for Jen!

Just downloaded a free app that searches for and displays the lyrics for any song you're playing from your music list. How cool is that?!! Have not tried it for streaming or internet radio yet.

Is apps like abbs?

I need an iphone

Back in the 1970's, I listened to "Kashmir" by Led Zepplin over 4,000 times, and never fully knew the lyrics.

Maybe Victor's lyric app has become a psychological neccessity with today's current music.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like confessions, BA! I won't ask if any reality-enhancing substances were involved. ^_^

Rumor has it that Apple will be out with a new iPad in the first quarter of next year. I am looking forward to getting one.

A Brit will play Lincoln in Spielberg's movie. Kinda weird. Maybe Lady Gaga can portray the Queen?

Victor, alas, my lack of understanding of the 1970's lyrics was due to a scratchy vinyl album and a cheap stereo system.

Maybe YOU had a supply of "alternative" substances to alter your comprehension of lyrics; at that time in high school, I was an "innocent babe in the woods."

My college years may have been (*ahem*) slightly less pure (Hello, cold duck?)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I never inhaled.

I never swallowed....like the professional wine tasters, right?

Anyone see Harry Potter yet??

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

It's on my top one list!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Saw the Harry Potter movie

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How was it?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I usually like them and was looking forward to seeing this one. - big let down.
I give it 4 out of 10 stars, mainly because it still has the original cast.

- luckily I went to the matinee and only spent $10 admission total for both of us.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Did see the previews though,

- Green Hornet looks like it's going to be funny!
- Tron Legacy is a must see!
- Green Lantern also gets the green light from me!

Lastly, DW wants to see Tangled, guess I may go... (lol)

* Oh yeah, almost forgot " Cowboys vs Aliens" = 'a maybe', the James Bond guy is in it, he's good.

No desire to see any of the Harry Potter movies.

Def want to see Tangled and want to see that Angelina Jolie/Johnny Depp movie, I think it's called The Tourist???

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes, that should be good, they're both good actors too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not a fan of Jolie.

Never saw any of them, Jen??

Nope

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

'Tangled' would have been better than the latest Harry Potter movie, (sorry to say..), in fact it was sold out ½ hour before showtime!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have not been a fan of Disney's animated features for some time now. Every movie seems to be the same formula adjusted to fit the different twist of a new story. They seem to have lost it after Lion King. The exception, of course, are the Pixar films.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Quality is hard to find now. Movies, music, TV, not the good stuff I used to take for granted years ago, even the supporting actors of yesteryear blow away most actors of today.

- things change..

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes. And judging by the number of animated movies now, looks like they have given up on quality acting / movies - at least at the major studios.
