All things entertainment go here!
What are your favorite scary movies?? One of my faves is The Uninvited, with Ray Milland.
That's Entertainment!! Part 5
I don't like scary movies.
Chicken!
Classic ghost/ supernatural movies?
I don't consider anything scary anymore, but ones in that genre that I like are,
The Exorcist
The Wolfman w/ Lon Chaney Jr. & Claude Rains
The Sixth Sense
Portrait of Jennie w/ Joseph Cotton
The Uninvited was good, so was House on Haunted Hill.
- Never cared for the Elm Street or Friday the 13th type.
New show with David Attenborough:

Anything with David Attenborough (or his brother, for that matter) is worth checking out, because they both gravitate towards QUALITY.
I "shouted" in capital letters for a reason: "quality" is usually sold out for commercialism or volume.
You mean VOLUME?? Hee hee. ^_^
I CAN'T HEAR YOU, VICTOR !!!
YOU'RE 200 MILES AWAY.....................SPEAK LOUDER.
I agree about the Attenborough Brothers. They have Sir's in front of their names or at least one of them does.
The Queen doesnt do that for nothing. You dont se Dame Twiggie for instance.
Love the Britts.

On the hypothetical deserted island, I would rather have 10 hours of random Brit video wash up on the beach, than USA fodder (yes, there is a magical electrical source and video equipment!).
That probably sounds snobbish, but I'm a "regular Joe (Jane)."
I'm such a snob I rent from Netflix constantly. I go to bed early and thankfully miss the usual night time stuff.
Not sure about the knighting stuff. Even Mick Jagger is one. If you make enough money...
I like the Britcoms. Fawlty Towers, Last of the Summer Wine, As Time Goes By, Are You Being Served, etc.
When "Fawlty Towers" was originally aired in Boston in the 1970's, it seemed like a full series, but in a 1990's interview with John Cleese, he pointed out that there were only 12 episodes, total.
They packed a lot of humor into those 12 episodes!
Yes - really wish they made many more.
That must have been the beginning of the 10 episode season era.
I cant believe some seasons have as few as 6 episodes of certain programs.
I think it has more to do with the way Brits regard a series: they have always had unusual numbers of episodes, not standardized to the 1960's--70's--80's patern of 26 episodes per season in the US, for as many seasons as picked up.
Must-see tv.

He had 4 children, maybe it was stress related..
Kids will do it!
72 is young.
Oddly enough when I was 12 I thought 18 years old, was old.
It was!
Jill Clayburgh died. Only 66.
- doesn't have to pay anymore taxes
Loved her movies in the 80's
XM radio started their Christmas music channels today!
Yippee!!
(I don't have XM radio, but Yippee anyway! ☺)
Its too early.
Yes - way too early. Gets earlier each year.
Only 39 more days!!!!
We usually do outdoor decorations after Turkyday because the weather is nice, we turn them on a week before the holiday.
38 days ... 21 hours!!!
tee hee I will start a crismas decore thread.
Haven't started any shopping yet! Unusual for me.
I buy something for the house and give cash to the grand kids. The first year the house got a new fireplace screen ( that fit),Last year I bought and had installed a storm door for the front door. It had a self storing screen.
This year its motion detector coachlights for the front of the garage.
37 days, getting closer!
I have already started Christmas shopping, back in August. LOL
I buy alot of L.L.Bean stuff and they run out of certain colors and sizes early so I have to get my LL Bean order in before Nov. 1st. Yesterday they sent me a coupon for 20% of my purchase of $50 or more plus free shipping. DD#2 wanted a pair of leather closed back clogs that were $79. I got them for $66 and free shipping!
