2010 GARDEN PHOTOS #33
Beautiful tour Karen!
Thanks, all. Yes, I've smelled the pineapple sage. I couldn't identify the smell. Was sold to me as a lemon verbena, but I thought it might be a different variety, as it didn't have that strong lemon smell and didn't look like the LV. Well, now I know. I just love it! Such a gorgeous plant, and it really got big. I, too, hate to see the frost get it. So far we have not had a killing frost yet. Lows tonight will be in the upper 30's, but most of the week looks like 40's, upper 30's, one night in mid 30's. Frost will be here very soon.

Nice blooms Karen, I love the 'Coral Nymph' , it's one of my favs.
Nice!! Love the 1st picture with all that color by the pond!!
Nice shots Karen
I'm liking the mums too, mine did well this year so may expand them for next year.
nice - love that mum fest!
Nice mum fest! I did not do mums this year. No money. Next year, hopefully. A few years ago I went to Longwood Gardens in PA, and they had gorgeous mums in their greenhouse, many that don't grow here due to the fact that they need warmer weather. I will try and post in a different thread sometime later this week. I'm sure everyone will love the pics.
Karen
karen you sure still have a lot blooming!
Great photos, James...the park looks like a lovely spot!
You still have lots blooming Karen. Love those double snaps and salvia. Hope you feel better soon.
What a lovely park you have there pensacola. The color if the leaves and gorgeous mums make a beautiful scene. Thanks for sharing it with us here at DG.
I never saw snapdragons like those before! Great colors!
So many good things still growing on, I hope the first black frost doesn't arrive too soon.
Wishing you all good health and happiness as we all head towards the "dark season."
Calling for a freeze here Friday night....UGH!
Snow due here about 10 miles away in the higher elevations.

Nice color you have their ladies! Mine is all brown and wilted now after Victor's curse he threw this way. :)
Nice pics, Jen and Marilyn.
We had a beautiful full moon last night. It was cold! Even though it got really cold here last night, my pineapple sage is still looking good.
I can't believe how much is still blooming here, but most of it is tender perennials or annuals. We've only had light frost so far. I even still have some coleus that has not bit the dust yet, though some, sadly, are done for.
My cold is still lingering, but feeling well enough to get some weeding done this weekend, and dig up some DL's that I'm shipping to some people down south. On Monday I will mow and use the clippings to mulch my newly weeded gardens, so I don't get inundated with weeds again.
Boston, those snaps are a variety called Double Azalea Apricot ( http://anniesannuals.com/plt_lst/lists/search/lst.srch.asp?prodid=56&srch_term=Antirrhinum ) that I got from Annie's this past spring. I only got one plant. Maybe next year I'll get more than one. I just love it, but I found it does need some support.
Curses on Victor!!!!!
Karen
