Good one, Victor!! LOL
Sherrie - so far, so good! Hope you get the job!
The Do Not Call list does not apply to non-profits or political calls. They are even on my cell phone. Ugh. I just got a call on our home phone from a candidate.......I cut her off by saying I'd already voted for him (which I had). So don't call again or I'll go back and change my vote. LOL
Coffee Break # 46 - Noreaster Edition!
NY taxpayers paid $9 million dollars for cosmetic surgery for teachers in Buffalo. Incredible.
Let's hope it was for reconstruction after breast cancer. Loved the apple game, Jen, but I'm so tired from subbing today, I just stared at them! I covered several different classes today, one was a pre-K for over an hour...good thing I'm used to my gkids!
Tax money always starts out going to a good cause, the problem is it gets lost on the way.
No - elective surgeries such as chemical peels and other skin treatments.
Ask Santa for a new 'puter for X-mas!
Can't believe it...that's elective surgery...my insurance would never pay for anything like that!
Yes - nobody's will. Teachers are in a different universe - at least in many places.
Found out in NJ if you are a township school bus driver(even part time) you get full health benefits for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go for it Jen!
no kidding
Wow - more shots fired into the Marine Museum overnight. And now there is a report of bomb threats on two UPS planes. Crazy.
Hee hee - saw this headline and immediately thought - wow, I'd love to meet her!! ^_^

- I believe it, - some men are abusive.
- I wonder why the reports were leaked and who leaked them.
- Maybe one of the worse winters for illness, more people may go to work sick for fear of losing their jobs in this economy..
Logistics!!
You gotta love Florida politics! We have already voted. In some categories there's no good choice.
That's the problem I've been facing up here for awhile now, - there aren't any good choices anymore.
Under my plan, every race would have to include 'None of the above'. If it gets more than a certain percentage - then NEW candidates would have to be chosen and a new election held. We may be continually voting in that case!!
I will never NOT vote, because I do believe in our system, and I consider it a privilege to live in this country, but OMG it's getting so hard to find a politician you can be proud to vote for. Every ad down here (and probably everywhere - it's just that we are inundated here) is a smear campaign that claims horrendous things about each one. It's like corruption is no big deal anymore. I don't get what is happening that we are all so de-sensitized to everything that used to be shocking.
Yes - it is disgusting and demoralizing. Who's business is it anyway if I have beaten my transgender girlfriend after the kickback I gave her was suddenly not enough to pay for her drug rehab?
OK, on a happier note......(Jen we cross posted...that IS a Happier note! Very nice!!
Did I mention to you the story of my expecting granchild and Oryanna's preferred name??
Oryanna's Mother, Tiffany (DD#2) is expecting in March and from the begining Oryanna has said it was a boy and she was naming it 'Charlie Brown'. LOL I asked her if it turned out to be a girl what was she going to name it and she said 'Snoopy'.
Well today Tiffany had her ultra-sound and I got a text from her saying.......
"It's a Charlie Brown"
WHOOO-HOOOOOO I GOT MY GRANDSON!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

No, but Ory wants to!!
Oh hee hee, misread that part
Congrats, Celeste! First grandson, right? Hope he's a chip off the old blockhead! ^_^
Cute link, Jen. You know he did something wrong! I'm considering one that reads, 'My wife, my love...help me choose!' Hee hee. ^_^
Yes Victor, Granson #1 on the way...he best be a brave boy as there are 5 Grandaughters waiting to greet him!
Oh, the lucky little fellow! His sister & cousins will spoil him....not to mention a certain grandma! Now, Victor....that husband may be a romantic.....you're too suspicious.....
Yes, I am! The reason given for the many weddings on 10/10/10 was that it was easy for the husbands to remember!
Great reason!
congrats celeste!
That's very cool, Celeste! I'm happy for you all. We have 3 boy grands and I was thrilled when we finally got a girl....and what a little doll she is!
Thanks everyone, i'm very happy and grateful....I knew 2011 was going to be better! ^_^
