Ragweed, almost for sure.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Victor - good luck with the knee surgery! Jen - I hope you are feeling better soon! Sinus problems are pretty miserable!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I really liked this allergist I saw...finally a voice of reason....she said she won't treat me for anything until she knows what it is...Yay for her...unlike some drs who just give ya meds just to treat the symptoms and don't find out what you have or what's causing it

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You can have chronic sinus problems without allergies.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

But I don't have chronic problems. My nose filled up when we crossed over into MA on the way to Bill's, so I figured I was allergic to MA

South Hamilton, MA

ragweed was especially tough this year. There are different molds around as well. Isn't it grand to find a sensible doctor?

East Bridgewater, MA

Are you saying that Massachusetts is filled with moldy oldies?

The truth hurts!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I think you're onto something there, Jen. Change your DG name back!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

maybe you should not have rolled around in the grass jen?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - Bill uses CHEMICALS!!

Thomaston, CT

LOL....it has been a bad year for allergies....went into lab for blood draw the other day, & had a horrible attack...couldn't stop sneezing & wheezing....folks moved away from me! I think I was allergic to the carpet ....don't have carpeting in my house except in a spare room.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

"Moldy odies" hee hee
oh yeah maybe some correlation between my name change and allergies...hmmmmm
My nose stuffed up before I got to your house Bill.
Oh Robin it probably was the carpets, did you ever have a skin test done?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yup lots of chemicals here - whatever comes up from the well water:)

wise guy!

Moldy odies, need tissues with an issue - :-) Sitting here laughing

Came pretty close to running out of gas! Have an 18 gal tank on the minivan. When it shut off, the pump read 17.937 gals. Talk about vapors.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

You drive a minivan???

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - Odyssey. This will be the last one. When the lease expires in June '12, I will get something else.

My nephew(the one in the Army stationed in Germany) and wife just bought a '92 Beemer for only $3500

Wonder if she used the HOV lane:

Oh, totally bizarre! And disgusting as well! Yes, Jen, had allergy tests done many years ago, & corn was the worst for me....still is...but I suppose new allergies develop over time...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is there anything left for them to violate??

Greed....that's all it is.

If all those people put information on a social networking site that they wanted to keep private, then they should be exposed. ... as idiots.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

True, though sometimes stuff is said inadvertently, or by others.

I need a good cordless drill. Don't want to spend a fortune since I don't need it constantly, but want a solid one with good power and battery life. Any suggestions????

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Black & Decker 12 or 18 Volt Cordless Drill

I have the 12v it's good for my purposes & it's light, but when I need extra power I use an electric since I usually have to use it for a longer period of time anyway, an 18v should cover most needs. (I buy my own accessories since my uses are specific and the 20 piece accessory kit gives you 16 pieces that you will probably never use..)

Jim says the same. 18 volt or what ever they have.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. I was certainly leaning toward at least 14 volts. Makita makes good stuff.

I said to Jim money was an issue. If its really not, he would go with Makita.

He had to replace a battery last year and it was hard to match up. It was a makita. Check the prices to replace batteries and get a cushion in case you pass out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I meant I did not want to spend many hundreds. I guess around $200 is my limit. Thanks to Jim.

Makita is tough - Jim puts them to the torture test. He drills metal a lot. Plus he drops it, hits it with other things, runs the welder over the cord and use it out in the rain if need be, etc. etc

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So it passes the Jim test!

Good thing I dont have too!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Especially the welding part!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Makita is good if you have small hands. (lol)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Dewalt!!!!!!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

YES! DeWalt is what the contractors use, - a little bit overkill for me though..

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

They're the best.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

if you can, pick up an extra battery. DH has a Riobi(sp) and extra batteries.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Dewalts are nice - we had them at work. A bit heavy, though.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

DH likes Bosch
