Sports Talk!! Part 5

Thomaston, CT

My DH would talk about him, & all the oldtimers....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Was going through my pictures from this year, trying to get them organized and I came across 3 of Oryanna before her very first live baseball game.
Think she's happy?

She looked like she was having a good time.

Might soon be getting an autographed team ball from the 1952 NY Dodgers.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

was fun to see the giants lose - hate philly too - coughlin is an ass for running on the field and getting into the face of the punter - someone make a tackle.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He's done after this season. They're on Cower's list.

Thomaston, CT

Wow, Victor, what a gift! Santa is good! Just watched the Uconn women win 88 straight against tenth ranked Ohio St.... no contest.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee - not a Christmas gift. Another 'investment' I will purchase from my book dealer friend.

Thomaston, CT

Make sure the boys appreciate that, & won't marry bimbos who'll sell it to buy more shoes!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!!

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Yeah, I thought Coughlin looked a little insane when he was yelling at the punter. True, the punter shouldn't have kicked it right to Jackson, but there were 10 other guys out there that didn't even lay a finger on him.

The Patriots were lucky to come away with a win last night. If Aaron Rodgers had been playing, I think the Packers would have blown them out.

South Hamilton, MA

I was proud of the Packers last night as I was afraid that they would not do as well. The Pack has to learn to tackle! Outside of the OL runback which would be like trying to tackle a freight train, the tackling stunk. Now we have to do in the giants & the Bears. 14 players on the IR plus Rogers being out does not help.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Packers are very impressive this year.

South Hamilton, MA

At least I saw more games with them on TV. this is my 67th yr of fandom. Patriots are 2nd choice, but not when the Pack in playing.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

would be great to see them beat the giants lucy!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I root for anyone against the Giants!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I switched from the Giants to the Bills because I thought the Giants had it at 20 - 3.
I was happy with the final results, sorry I wasn't watching.

Thomaston, CT

Just so incredible to watch the Uconn women hit 89 straight.....I don't think the team played that well, But Maya Moore with 41 points was awesome. Some team, maybe Baylor, will beat them this year...too many freshmen, & Caroline Doty is out for the year with a torn ACL....they will miss her.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Humph, just mentioned this to Jack and he said if they win one more game they will beat someone's record....men's record. Go UConn!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

last night they passed the UCLA men's team record.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - they have it all to themselves. Amazing! On to 100 now!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

the records should be separate - different rules/ball and mens team/womens team - 89 in a row is incredible!

Thomaston, CT

As Jim Calhoun, the men's coach phrased it......you can't even win 89 games of checkers in a row! Truly special.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Where is our jets fan?

the rex ryan & wife foot fettish deal is too funny - what are they thinking putting that on the internet??

will need to watch the ny post headlines :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm keeping a low profile. Jets can't stay off the front page this year.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

hope you are above foot level :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

But they do say that football is a game of feet sometimes. ^_^

Thomaston, CT

I think it sounds kinky, but oh, well!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh - big loss for the Jets.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, sorry, Victor....I was hoping they'd win.....

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

giants AND jets lose - what a day! :)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

:)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Looking forward to seeing those Cowboys in the playoffs. Oh, wait...

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i am looking forward to the draft :) you can't make the season they are having.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They need T O!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

you mean TWO first round picks? a running back would be nice and another d-back and an offensive line that can create a hole........the list is long.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I thought Jessica created one for Romo.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

romo just got engaged to a miss texas i think - jessica is long gone.
