Sports Talk!! Part 5

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

I don't think anyone needs $25 million a year and Minka Kelly as a girlfriend. One or the other, buddy. Don't be greedy.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

good one gsox!

can't hurt to ask - papers hear say he is worth about 6 mil - ny will sign him for 10 mil or so.

New Boston, NH

What is the projection of Pats Vs Jets MNF?

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Depending upon who you ask / bet with, the Patriots are favored to win by 3 or 3 1/2 points.

Thomaston, CT

Hoping the Jets pull off an upset, then!

South Hamilton, MA

Hope not!! Ryan has a big mouth.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Are you serious?? No coach is a bigger idiot than Belichick! He has embarrassed himself time and again by acting like a spoiled brat.

Thomaston, CT

And ignorance!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Sadly, the reader's comments are even more ignorant and arrogant. I'll be rooting for the Jets.

Thomaston, CT

Uconn made it to the Fiesta Bowl! Oklahoma will probably trounce them, but the school still gets a lot of money!

New Boston, NH

Cheered for Dallas which is rare as I don't cheer for Texas anything but felt bad for Peyton after they lost as even though he is a big competion ,I have to respect him sort of like Derick Jeter both GREAT athletes and keep their nose clean.

South Hamilton, MA

You do need the surrounding parts to win in spite of having a great quarterback. As far as Dallas, I have no resect for players who don't work hard under a coach but will do so for another one.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

you are tough lucy! being a cowboys fans i was cheering pretty loud at the end although the D should have closed out the game much earlier with a 17-0 lead.

thought peyton looked flustered all game - did not have that confident look he normally has.

New Boston, NH

Never read gossip columns or negative journalism but I would want Bill Belichick for any football team I had.

South Hamilton, MA

Just learned via google sports that Don Meredith has died. As much as I dislike Dallas, he was an excellent player & a good broadcaster.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And just a nice guy. Too young.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that is too bad! Really liked Dandy Don Meredith.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

'Turn out the lights, the party's over...'

Thomaston, CT

He will be missed......

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh - 17-0.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Had a very strong feeling tonight's game would turn out this way. Told my friend and my son. My son now blames me!

South Hamilton, MA

how about the 45-2 giggle, giggle. I thought the Pats would win since they were on their home ground, but not like that.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

was there a game last night? looked like only one team showed up. wish it had been the guys in green.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It was 3, Lucy. Don't take that one point away!

South Hamilton, MA

Sorry about that, it is 3. Maybe it will shut Ryan up, just encourage his team in tough games, not to make predictions. Afterall the Packers managed to hold the Jets scoreless, albeit a little help from tough winds.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Ouch that hurt!

New Boston, NH

Well,Bill Belichick in his constant practice of humility teaches his players"When you win say little and when you loose say less."

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

I think the Patriots covered the spread, right? ^_^

Wha, are you really not a Pats fan? I know you like the Cowboys but how can a guy living in Mass root against the Patriots?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And Belachick's humility includes refusing to shake hands with opposing coaches??

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

never a pats fan gsox - they were a joke under the sullivan ownership - my cowboy loyalty goes back to 1968 with dandy don and bullet bob hayes and the doomsday defense.

victor i like that BB does not shake hands at times - lets you know they really want to win and bad blood - better than the lovefest in baseball.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He's totally classless and likes to run up the score too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And don't forget the sleazy circumstances of his leaving the Jets and going to the Pats.

South Hamilton, MA

oh, so that's your gripe, victor. I am a Packers fan of many years, but will root for the Patriots when they are not playing the Pack. Packers have lost people to injuries, especially on defense & have no running game. So I worry about the upcoming game but will not downplay the Pats if they win. The Jets have a 2nd year QB without the full college experience. He is talented but still has much to learn.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i agree lucy about the jets qb

victor sounds like you are still smarting after last nights game.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - never liked Belachick. Even when he was with the Jets.

Of course Sanchez is still young. They have other problems too. No rush without blitzing. That's a major problem.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i think losing their safety hurt a lot

New Boston, NH

He shakes hands with Rex Ryan but not that other backstabber.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Was that Eric Mangini?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

where is the hot stove red sox discussions - they are making a splash this off season!
