Nice! You must be nearing peak color.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nope, we are at "moderate" peak right now, at least that what the foliage report says. That was taken today up in the Western Mts. of Maine. Peak in my area is around the 15th of Oct. usually.

I think the Mts. must be almost at peak.

72° indoor, heat still off.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

46 here... looks like I might squeak another week of coleus being alive outside.. they changed my low for tonight.. yesterday they had it in the high 30's... today it says 45 for the low... still should be good

Not much color in my woods but have seen some red in other places. Temp. is 44' right now 65" in the house but I will not turn on the heat, I will not, I will not! lol

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

We are up to 37 degree's now...come on 40!!! LOL

South Hamilton, MA

54° feels damp which makes cold more penetrating.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

It is supposed to e partly sunny here but no sign of sun yet. Overcast and a bit chilly early with a light breeze. Chance of showers the next couple of days so I was glad to get my honeysuckle stuck in this am and hope it returns after a winter rest. Present temp is 54 degrees and may hit 60 if the sun pokes out at all. Also yesterday was the first day I noticed that the sun was down lower in the sky than the tree tops all day. Always a bummer when I notice that, long shadows now out back until next spring.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

59, sunny and breezy. Looks like fall!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

58°, wind NNE 21mph, Rh 66%, cloudy
Windchill 51°, damp, storing away the short sleeve shirts and breaking out the Woolrich ones today.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Chilly, clouds rolling in, 59 right now, calling for another 3 days of rain, 47 was our low

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

We are up to 54...yippee! Never would of thought i'd be happy with 50 degrees!!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Still no sun. Temp is only 54 still and the moderate east wind shift explains a lot of that.

Thomaston, CT

Cool, but nice & sunny earlier today....couldn't walk the dogs until 4:30, but it was very comfortable, & no one else was walking behind either dam.....just like a private estate.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Forecasting rain for tomorrow. Was hoping to get some planting and weeding done.

Thomaston, CT

Showers for the next 3 days....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We received another .03" of rain so far this evening

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

South Hamilton, MA

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - raw, chilly morning. 50 and gray.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Good morning to sleep in but can't

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

54°, wind NE 17mph, mist, occ. showers
windchill 46°

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Just one word for the weather today...yucky.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

let it rain

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Anyone put the heat on yet??

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Of course not!
Now's the time to be strong and not give in to the warm comfort of heat!

(-be right back after I adjust the thermostat a little, I'm just checking it out, making sure it works good...)

East Bridgewater, MA

Not yet...dressing in layers, and doing chores keeps body temp ok for this temp range.

But soon the chill will set in...

(L.L.Bean sells a silk, long sleeve sheer undershirt that is worth every penny! The fabric is so incredably sheer, you can read newspaper headlines thru it, so it can be worn under regular shirts without being bulky. Amazing how it changes the body temperature, and it feels wonderful against the skin. Recommend getting a dark color, it won't stay white because of other clothing worn over it.)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

wife turned it on breifly yesterday. i was outside (in shorts) or it would NOT have gone on.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

might put a log in the WS tonight

Thomaston, CT

Of course my heat is on....it's COLD outside...and raw...and damp....and yucky...just how everyone described it. Life is too short not to be comfortable....however, I only turned the downstairs heat on...it's cold in my computer/dog room.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

No

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have not either.
